Dennis E. Katzel Age 63 of Round Lake, passed away at his home on Sept. 18, 2002. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for AT&T. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sandra Kay (nee Newvine) Katzel, and his children, Mark Katzel of Round Lake Beach, Renee' (Jaun) Diaz of Round Lake and Dennis E. Katzel II of Ingleside; grandchildren; great-grandson; brother, sisters and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine (nee Weyforth) and Earl Katzel. Funeral service was held Sept. 21 at the Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium Ltd. In Grayslake. Friends visited at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family c/o Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Billie L. Surviving are her son, Wendell Sinkhorn of Napoleon; a brother, George (Betty) Dugger of Laurel County, Ky. And a nephew, Charles (Alice) Dugger of Round Lake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bonnie Eugene Sinkhorn in 1996. Visitation and funeral service was held Sept. 21 in Corbin Ky. With interment in Brown Cemetery. She is survived by her son Frank (Darlene) Dorfler; her grandchildren; great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dorfler in 1989, daughter, Mary Ann Wells and brothers and sisters. The funeral mass was held Sept. 20 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church (Fremont Center, small church) in Mundelein. Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Lewinski, pastor will be celebrant. Interment immediately followed the mass at St. Mary Church Cemetery. Friends of the family gathered at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium in Grayslake on Sept. 19. He was the devoted husband of Freya (nee Edlmann) Moser whom he wed on Nov. 15, 1945 in Texarkana, Tex. He was the loving father of Frank R. (Dorothy) Moser of Garden Prairie, Christine Moser of Waukegan and Michelle Bailey of Trevor, Wis.; grandfather of Frank J. and Christopher Moser and Savana Bailey. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and is preceded in death by his son, John Moser who died in 1973. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake. Greg was the husband of Sandra Guntharp of Spring Grove; father of Amy (Olda) Kubes of Round Lake, Gregory H. (Kristina) Guntharp Jr. of Antioch, Jim (Diane) Faller of Ingleside, Lori (Eric) Schevikhoven of Antioch and Joe (Becki) Faller of Johnsburg. Greg was the son of Phyllis Guntharp of Fulton, Ms. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren (No. 12 due in October); two brothers and many other friends and relatives. She and her husband were charter and active members of St. Gilbert Church of Grayslake and she was also active in the Lake County Homemakers Club. She is survived by her two sons and six daughters: Vincent (Verna) Merkel of Arbor Vitae, Wisc., Thomas (Dee) Merkel of Gurnee, Bernice (Raymond) Fincutter of Elkhorn, Wisc., Joan (Raymond) Williams of East Moline, Mary (the late John) Callanan of Grayslake, Lois (Carl) Pflieger of Falls Church, Virg., Margaret (Richard) Finely of Lindenhurst; Carol (Gary) Haskell of Johnsburg; 43 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a daughter-in-law, Iona Merkel of Grayslake. She was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters and her sons Jerome and James. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Gilbert's Catholic Church in Grayslake.
