Mr. Lee Edward Dulgar Age 90
Mr. Dulgar of Lombard, Illinois passed away
Friday, April 7, 2000 in the Good Samaritan Hospital Downers Grove, Illinois.
Funeral services will 3:00 PM Friday, April 14, 2000 at the Bishop Funeral
Home in Greenup, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour prior
to the funeral (2:00 - 3:00 PM) with Rev. Dan Smith officiating.
Burial will be in the Swick Cemetery, Southeast of Hidalgo, Illinois with
full Military rites conducted by the Greenup VFW Post #4598.
Mr. Dulgar was born October 20, 1909 in rural
Hidalgo, Illinois the son of John Edward and Daisy Ann (Cramer) Dulgar.
He married Fay Covert November 25, 1945 and she preceded him in death August
1, 1996.
Mr. Dulgar, dedicated to education, began
teaching in rural Japser County, then taught in Villa Grove and Tuscola,
Illinois. He was a mathematics teacher, dean of students, and
past president of Thorton Junior College in Harvey, Illinois.
He received this B.S. in Education from Eastern Illinois University and
M.A. degree from the University of Illinois. He was a WWII
U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 74th Tank Batallion in the European Theater.
Mr. Dulgar is survived by a sister, Mildred
Barker of Toledo; nephews and nieces, John Barker of Danville, Joanne Buechler
of Mattoon, Bob Wilson of Toledo, Nikki Barker of Decatur, Jerry Dulgar
of Minnetonka, MN, and Judy Starwalt of Mattoon; several great neices and
nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Dulgar
of Hidalgo, and a sister Mary Wilson of Toldeo. Memorials may
be made to the American Cancer Society. This kind and caring
gentleman will be greatly missed by family and friends.
George A. Kibler, Sr.
George Kibler of Rose Hill, Illinois passed
away at 10:14 AM Sunday, May 28, 2000 at his residence. Funeral
services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 31, 2000 at the Barkley
Funeral Home in Greenup, Illinois with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 (Noon) - 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 31,
2000 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Plainfield
Cemetery.
George was born March 17, 1919 in Mattoon,
Illinois the son of Van and Gertie (Songer) Kibler. He married
Glendola Tuggle August 16, 1937 and she survives. George retired
from U.S. Steel in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the Mattoon
VFW, Mattoon Eagles, and a Navy Veteran of WWII.
George is survived by his wife Glendola, a
son George Kibler, Jr; a daughter Karol K. Kibler of Monon, Indiana; 6
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters a...[cut

Rebecca Metz of Newton passed away at 7:54
AM Monday, October 2, 2000 at her home. Memorial services will
be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at the Metz residence.

Mrs. Metz was born November 24, 1952 in Attaberry,
Indiana the daughter of John Leroy Strong, Sr. and Shirley Frances (Brown)
Strong. She married Roy Elvin Metz on March 6, 1970 and he
survives. She was a homemaker.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Roy; mother
Shirley Strong of Newton; daughters Corrine C. Metz of Olney, IL and Deanne
D. Metz of Newton; seven grandchildren; brothers Charles Menward Strong
of Oblong, IL and Alan Francis Strong of Newton; and a sister Judith Mae
(Strong) Andrews of Robinson, IL. She was preceded in death
by her father, son Alan Wade Eaton, brothers John Leroy Strong, Jr. and
Mark Dreasher Strong.

passed away at 8:40 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield, Illinois.

Eloise was born August 24, 1944 in Mattoon,
Illinois the daughter of Raymond and Holly (Rhodes) Cutts.
She married Duane Carrell June 17, 1965 and he survives. Eloise
was a teacher at Newton Community High School for 35 years, graduated from
Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors Degree and graduated from
Indiana State University with a Master's Degree. She was a
life long member of the Illinois Education Association and the Jasper County
Education Association.
Eloise is survived by her husband Duane of
Newton, sons Nathan Carrell of Baton Rouge, LA and Matthew Carrell of Milton,
FL; a brother Harold (Anita) Cutts of Toldeo; sisters Karen (Don) Blade,
Diane (Tom) Ettelbrick, Rita Lustig all of Greenup, Illinois and Belind
(Tom) Wampler of Franksville, WI; and a granddaughter Jenna Carrell of
Covington, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mr. Elie of West Liberty, IL passed away at
5:10 AM Sunday, February 27, 2000 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes,
IN. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February
29, 2000 at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry
Wirth officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Jasper
County, IL. There will be no visitation. Summers-Kistler
Funeral home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.
Thomas was born June 22, 1940 in Jasper County,
the son of Harry and Edith (Shryock) Elie. He married Donna
Thompson May 9, 1964 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, she survives.
Thomas was a retired Custom Crop Specialist for Rich-Law Service Company.
Thomas is survived by his wife; a son Patrick Elie of Newton, IL; a
daughter Kathryn Huene and husband Michael of Mattoon, IL; a brother Pat
Elie of Olney, IL; sisters Jane Zwilling of Olney, IL, Nancy Craig of Frederickburg,
VA, Barbara Prince of Springfield, MO, Judy Nunnery of Bloomington, IL
and Janet Marks of Olney, IL; his mother; one grandchild Harold Elie, and
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
father Harry Elie.

at 9:20 AM, Monday October 2, 2000 at the Lakeland Nursing Center, Effingham,
IL. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, October
5, 2000 at the Crain Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation will
be 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Dieterich Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born on October 14, 1898 in
Effingham County, Illinois the daughter of Hamlin and Emma (Eilers) McCoy.
She married Cecil Burl Davis on January 22, 1922 and he preceded her in
death in 1982. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kedron
United Methodist Church.
Margaret is survived by a daughter Mary Lou
Bloemker of Wheeler, IL; grand-daughters, Carla Roy of Cassville, MO and
Carlene Carter of Wheeler; three great-grandchildren Sarah and Kristin
Meiner of Cassville, MO and Nathan Carter of Wheeler. She was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Howard Davis and Bobby
Gene Davis; five brothers Sam, Cecil, Roy, Howard, and Gale McCoy.

Kathleen (Pickens) McGee Age 50
Kathleen (Pickens) McGee of Rural Newton passed
away at 7:00 PM on Monday March 27, 2000 in her home. Kathleen was born
on July 23, 1949 in Rural Wheeler, IL the daughter of Rex and Wilma (Corbin)
Pickens. She was occupied as a homemaker and was a memeber of South Muddy
Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include
her father and five brothers: L.D. of rural Newton, David of New Mexico,
King of rural Newton, Rick of rural Newton, and Ritchie also of rural Newton.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on
March 30, 2000 at Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich. Burial will be on March
31, 2000 at the Wheeler Village Cemetery located in rural Wheeler, IL with
grave side services beginning at 1:00 PM with Jim Thompson officiating.

Herbert Kingery of Trenton, Missouri formerly
of Bogota, Illinois passed away at 8:05 PM Tuesday May 30, 2000 in Chillicothe,
Missouri. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday,
June 3, 2000 at the Tate Cemetery rural Newton, Illinois. Burial
will be in the Tate Cemetery with Military Rites by Jasper Post No. 20

Herbert was born August 29, 1903 in Jasper
County, Illinois the son of David Cary and Minnnie (Wooden) Kingery.
He married Luetta M. Crosser on November 3, 1960 and she preceded him in
death on May 22, 1999. He was a retired farmer, a member of
the Bogota Christian Church and a veteran of WWII
Herbert is survived by sisters Evelyn Fritschle
and Edna Marshall both of Newton, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother Harvey Kingery
and a sister Edith Lake.

Carmen Viola Lee of Newton, Illinois passed
away Monday, January 8, 2001 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham,
Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday,
January 12, 2001 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton. Visitation
will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Brockville Cemetery, Rural Newton. Memorials

Mrs. Lee was born on July 18, 1915 the daughter
of William "O'Dell" and Ethel (Owens) Spesard. She married
Ivan Eugnen Lee on August 12, 1933 and he preceded her in death on May
18, 1991. She was a 1933 graduate of Allerton High School,
worked as a homemaker and heldped in running the family's farm.
Carmen was a member of the Fairview Christian Church, rural Newton.
Carmen is survived by sons Robert Lee of West
Hartford, CT and John Lee of St. Charles, MO; nine grandchildren; and a
sister Thelma Willey of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in
death by her parents and husband.
Walter Allen "Walt" Kitchen Age 62
Walter Kitchen of rural Willow Hill, Illinois
passed away at 12:30 AM Thursday, April 10, 2003 at the Crawford Memorial
Hospital in Robinson, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday,
April 13, 2003 at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois with Rev.
Ron Mulvey officiating. Burial will be in the New St. Peter
Cemetery in Newton with full military rites by the Jasper County Veterans.

Walt was born February 11, 1941 in Chicago
Heights, Illinois the son of Herbert Richard and Vivian (Ragon) Kitchen.
He married Elaine Kerner in March of 1971. He was a truck driver
for Lanman Trucking for over 17 years and a farmer. Walt was
a disabled Army Veteran serving his country during Vietnam.
He received the Purple Heart. He was a former member of the
Jasper Post #20 American Legion and the Newton VFW.
Walt is survived by his mother Vivian Schwager
of Oblong, Illinois; wife Elaine of Willow Hill; daughters Cheri (Donnie)
Dorn of Dieterich, IL, Nickie (Josh) Hayes of West York, IL, Vickie Kitchen
and Rachel Kitchen both of Willow Hill; a brother Everett (Valerie) Kitchen
of Willow Hill; sisters Joan (George) Midgett of Oblong and Irene Cravens
of Willow Hill and grandchildren Stevie Joe Judy, Jr, Jeff Judy, Marcie
Judy, Katie Judy, Sierra and Hunter Hayes. Walt was preceded
in death by his father and step-father Anthony Schwager.

Richard was born September 17, 1967 the son
of Richard and Donna (Winterrowd) Rieman. Richard is a member

Mrs. Clara Mae (Goble) Campbell
Mrs. Campbell of Olney, IL, successfully completed
her Earthly Journey at her daughter's home in St. Cloud, Flordia, on Saturday,
February 26, 2000 at 1:15 AM. Visitation will be at Staci-Grove
Funeral Home in Olney, Tuesday, February 29, 2000 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
The funeral service will be at the Olney Church of God on Route 130 North
at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 1, 2000. The Reverend John Spears
of the Olney Church of God and Reverend Gene McDowell of the Scotsboro,
Alabama Church of God will officiate. Interment will be in
the Calhoun Cemetery in rural Richland County. In lieu of flowers
memorials may be made to the Olney Church of God or to Hospice of Southeastern
Illinois.
Clara was born on July 25, 1940 the daughter
of Pearl and Stella Goble. She married Galen Campbell on July
16, 1957 in Liberty, Indiana, he survives. Clara was a housewife,
a former employee of the East Richland School District, and she and husband
Galen were former owners of the Traveler's Inn Motel in Olney.

IL with Fr. Joseph Molloy celebrating mass. Burial will be

Geraldine was born in Richland County, Illinois
on January 4, 1922 the daughter of Joseph and Johanna (Nix) Hinterscher.
She married Hull Fehrenbacher in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a homemaker and loving mother of seven children. She
lived most of her adult life in Newton, residing the last six years at
the Newton Rest Haven. She was a faithful member of the St.
Thomas Catholic Church of Newton, IL and the Alter Society.
Geraldine is survived by daughters Mrs. Tom
(Carolyn) Frieburg of Lisle, IL and Mrs. Joe (Susan) Ryan of Edwardsville,
IL; sons Wayne (Debbie) Fehrenbacher of Montrose, IL and Dan (Janet) Fehrenbacher
of Newton, IL; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, two daughters
and a grandson.

Carol was born on June 29, 1953 in Dieterich,
Illinois the daughter of Barbara Rodgers. She married Jess
Lee Headlee on October 16, 1971 and he passed away on October 1, 1983.
Carol was a Certified Nurses Assistant and a Beautician. She
was a memeber of the Newton Central Christian Church.

of Funkhouser, Illinois; Fiance Marion Callahan of Casey, Illinois; daughter
Lisa Clark of Willow Hill, Illinois; step-daughter Tammy Bushnell of Wyoming;
son Bill Headlee; step-sons Dameon Franklin and Gary Franklin both of Missouri;
brothers Dale (Sue) Harris of Newton, IL, James (Betty) Harris of Willow
Hill, IL, Kenny (Anne) Harris of Effingham, IL; sisters Mary Ann McCoy
of Mattoon, IL, Mrs. Jim (Jodi) Huntington of Effingham, IL, Mrs. Les (Glenda)
Blair of Edgewood, IL, Lynn Leininger and Mrs. Gary (Cheryl) Moore all
of Effingham, IL; grandchildren Jesse Clark, Dakota Clark, Cody Bushnell,
and Casey Bushnell. She was preceded in death by her husband,
grandparents, and special grandmothre Ethel Rodgers who raised her.

Mary Minerva Huddlestun of Yale, Illinois
passed away at 5:30 AM Monday June 12, 2000 at her daughter's residence
in Charleston, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00
AM Wednesday June 14, 2000 at the Barkley Funeral Home in Greenup will
Brother Larry Stivers officiating. Burial will be in the DeBord
Cemetery in Grandvile Township Jasper County, Illinois. Visitation

Minerva was born February 7, 1918 in Yale
the daughter of Walter and Lola (Whisennand) Read. She married
Denzil Huddlestun on April 27, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Minerva was a homemaker and a member of the Yale Church of Christ.
Minerva is survived by sons Stephen Huddlestun
of Shreveport, LA and Dean Huddlestun of Mahomet, IL; a daughter Susanne
Andrews of Charleston, IL; a brother Stephen Read; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter.

Kent Richards of Newton, Illinois passed away
at 3:06 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield,
Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday,
January 13, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church, Newton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2001 at the
Crain Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be in the West Lawn
Cemetery, Newton.
Mr. Richards was born on December 6, 1938
in Olney, Illinois the son of Delmar and Isabella (Danforth) Richards.
He married Susie Harvey on February 4, 1961 and she survives.
He owned and operated Richard's Firestone in Newton. Memberships
include the First Presbyterian Church and the Jasper County Fair Board.
Kent had been active in various civic organizations through the years.
Kent is survived by his wife Susie Richards
of Newton; daughters Cheryl Kay Earnest and husband Jed Earnest of Newton
and Jennifer Carter of Robinson, Illinois; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
and a brother Don Richards of Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Danforth Scholarship Fund in care of the First
Presbyterian Church.
