Miss Behm was a lifelong resident of Elgin.A graduate of Elgin High School in 1936, she was employed by the Elgin National Watch Company.During World War II, she was inducted into the Navy WAVES, and was honorably discharged as a Pharmacist's Mate Third Class in 1946.Subsequently she worked for Van's Drug Store in Elgin formany years until it closed, and then for Munch's Pharmacy until her retirement. 
Survivors include her aunt, Lucille (Clifford) Behm of St.Charles; uncles, Edwin Schmitz of Michigan and Herman Seegert of Elgin; cousins, Bette (Darrel) Monteith, William Schmitz Jr.,Lorraine (Ole) Springer, James Thornton and Mike Seegert, all of Elgin, andnumerous other cousins from out of town.

Buger was a lifelong resident of Batavia and enjoyed playing basketball and football while in school.He worked in construction with heavy equipment, was a gifted auto mechanic and enjoyed music.

He spent his junior year of High School at the Northeastern Military Academy in Lake Geneva, Wis.He served in the Army during World War II and after an honorable discharge, he worked for the U.S. Government in the Panama Canal.He was the former vice president of the family owned business, Sewed Products in Fox River Grove.He worked in the vault at Harris Bank for ten years retiring in 1996.He was former member of the Biltmore Country Club and member of Salem United Methodist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Helen (nee Blanke), whom he married Feb.9, 1946, in Barrington; children, Scott of Houston, Texas, Eric (Lynette) of Eden Prairie, Minn.and Susan Engbrecht of Barrington; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Alicia. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna (nee Olsen) Engbrecht.

Kenneth George Gebhardt, 84, passed away on January 23, 1998, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. 
He was born in Chicago July 5, 1913. 
Mr.Gebhardt is survived by his wife, Eunice Gebhardt; his daughter, Janice (John) Kefauver; his sons, Kenneth Pritz Gebhardt and Gerald Jan Gebhardt; and his two grandsons, Matthew Gebhardt and Cory Kefauver. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Fred Gebhardt; and his brother, Russell Gebhardt.

Tim lived in Wayne until the age of 3 when he moved to Chicago.He attended Francis Parker for nine years where he developed a love of ice hockey and playing the guitar. 
Upon moving to the North Shore, he attended Loyola Academy for one year, and in 1992 he graduated from New Trier High School.He attended Oakton Community College and Lake Forest College before heading East to Boston College.He was looking forward to going to Colorado and finishing school.

Born May 30, 1937, in Mississippi, the son of Leslieand Willie Mae (nee Meeks) Jones, he died Saturday, Jan.24, 1998, at DelnorCommunity Hospital in Geneva.Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia. 
He was united in marriage to Helen (nee Watkins) on Dec.24, 1956, in Ashland, Miss.Gene moved to the Chicago area in 1956.He then moved to the Fox Valley area in 1963.He was employed for more than 30 years by L.R. Johnson and Son in Batavia until his illness forced his retirement in 1996.He also ran Gene's Standard in Geneva for several years. 
He was a member of the Batavia Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #682. 
He enjoyed camping, riding his Holda Gold Wing and was an avid Batavia Bulldog Booster, following the Bulldogs faithfully for more than 25 years. 
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helen Jones; daughters, Kathy (Doug) Caldwell of Edgewood, Ill.and Shari `Dee' (Dave) Konrad of Batavia; sons, David Jones and Michael (Tammy) Jones both of Aurora; grandchildren, Doug Jr. (Carla) Caldwell and Kevin Caldwell of Edgewood, Tina Jones of North Aurora, Mark Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada, Roy and Ray Robey and Cody Konrad of Batavia, and Tiffany, Amanda and Reanna Jones all of Aurora; great-granddaughter, Shannon Magiera of Plano; brother, Edward Jones and sister, Thelma Null of Walnut, Miss.;also his wife's family, who he cherished as his own, Debbie (Will) Rosales of Park Ridge, Jim (Judy) Sells of Chicago, Paul (Sueann) Watkins of Glenview, Barry (Nanette) Watkins of Park Ridge and Tom (Donna) Watkins of Chicago; and many relatives and beloved friends.

Born Feb.19, 1918, in Glencoe, the son of Anna and Ralph Pate, he died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 
24, 1998. 
ThePate family moved to Elgin in 1921 and formed Mrs.Pate's Bakery in which Dave worked until entering the Army.Dave married Bonnielee A.Reese, January 15, 1942. 
After returning from service in the Army Air Force C.B.I. theater, he started Dave Pate Construction Company, designing and building custom homes in the western suburbs.He developed a unique system for installing basements in crawl space homes.His interest in engineering prompted him and his family to form Dave Pate and Sons Construction Company specializing in foundation repair of commercial, industrial and residential buildings. 
The corporation celebrated its 60th year with Dave being active in sales and marketing until his death last week. 
Among his many projects were the structural repair to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home andStudio in Oak Park and the recent Clarence Buckingham Fountain restoration in Chicago. 
In addition to his love for world travel, classical music, swimming, collecting blacksmith tools, Civil War history and decorating wedding cakes for his children and grandchildren, Dave was widely renowned for his extensive collection of antique autos.Since the age of 15 racing Model T cars in Wasco, Ill.,Dave had an intense love for autos and their restoration.Working in his shop, he restored several 1920's and 1930's Buicks and Chevrolets recently turning his attention to a World War II Dodge Army Commmand car.He was a regular attendee in parades and competitions, carrying the color guard and often winning first place. 
Dave was a graduate of Elgin High School class of 1936 and later attended the Business School in Long Beach, Calif.He attended the College of DuPage pursuing an associates degree at the age of62. 
He belonged to the VFW Post 7539 as a life member, the Buick Club of America, the American Truck Historical Society, the Roselle Chamber of Commerce and was the past president of the Holy Name Society of St.Walter's Church. 
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnielee A.;sons, David Lee (Elaina), Brian A. (Patricia), Lauren J.Sr. (Josephine) and Lowell S. (Tracey); daughters, Michelle E. (Carter) Lusader, Adrienne E. 
and April A. (Mike); nine grandchildren; sister, Margaret (W.C. `Bud') Kenyon of South Elgin; and many nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
