Survivors include his wife, Sheila; three daughters, Kelley Drozdowski, Sheila Hillier and Kathleen; five sons, Phillip Jr., Patrick, Timothy, Terrence and Michael; two sisters; and two grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Marcelline Catholic Church, 822 S. Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg.

Robert S. Greco, 53, of Schaumburg, died Monday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford. Born in Chicago, Mr. Greco was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was also an operations specialist for United Airlines. Survivors include his parents, Jean and Charles; two sisters; and one brother. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Rd., Schaumburg.

Thomas E. "Tommy" Schoenfeld, 29, of Hanover Park, died July 16 in Henderson, Nev. Born in Illinois, Mr. Schoenfeld was a salesman for the Daily Herald. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Michael and Matthew; his parents, Thomas and Marian; grandparents, Mary Capra and Bernard Bell; a brother; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg.

Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 432 W. Park St., Arlington Heights.

ALFRED F. WITTIG

Alfred F. Wittig, 71, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Schiller Park, died Monday in his home. Born in Chicago, Mr. Wittig, was a retired truck driver. A paratrooper during World War II who participated in the D-Day invasion of Europe, his strength and a fighting spirit characterized him throughout his life, according to his son, David. Besides his son, additional survivors include his wife, Rosemary; two daughters, Linda Bethke and Cindy Bauer; two sisters; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.

Robert J. Zeitlin, 71, of Palatine, died Saturday in Northwest Community Continuing Care Center in Arlington Heights. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Zeitlin moved to Chicago, where he worked as a research chemist. During his retirement, Mr. Zeitlin tutored students in chemistry and mathematics at Harper College in Palatine. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; a son, Lee; a sister; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Blvd., Hoffman Estates.

Mrs. Pederson taught at Sandburg Junior High School in Rolling Meadows and Jefferson Elementary School in Hoffman Estates. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; two sons, Erik and Roy; a daughter, Britta; her parents, Roy and Loris Berglund; a brother; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the New Life Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Algonquin Rd., Hoffman Estates.
