JEAN C. OSAJDA
Great-Grandmother of Seven
Funeral services for Jean C. Osajda (nee Przybylski) were held on Tues., Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Entombment followed in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation was held at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home. Ms. Osajda, a former Park Ridge resident, was 87 years old when she passed away in her Des Plaines home. She was the wife of the late Joseph L.
Survivors include five children, Maribel (the late James) Leibforth, Richard (Ruth), Patricia (Roy) Johnson-Stoneberg, Michael, JoJean (John) Brandl, and Elaine (Tom) Hann; seven grandchildren, Susan (Roy) Thompson, James (Cathi) Leibforth, Kevin (Kim) Osajda, Tamara (Doug) Hill, Ericka Jean (Cliff) Horn, Becky and Kelly Hann; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Jean.
Memorials may be made to Park Ridge Juniors Benefit 2001 or the Park Ridge Rotary Club.

MARIAN MARBACH
Long-time Park Ridge resident
A funeral service will be held for Marian Marbach, 80, on Friday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., Park Ridge. Rev. Linda Foster Momsen will be presiding. Visitation will be held Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Town of Maine Cemetery.
Ms. Marbach died on Aug. 30 in Church Creek Nursing Home, Arlington Heights. She is survived by her cousins; Jewel (Jack) Kimbell, Donald (Jean) Drever, Donald Klemp and Violet Redding. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hedwig Marbach.
Ms. Marbach was a lifelong member of the Park Ridge Methodist Church, a long-time member of the Park Ridge Garden Club and a longtime employee of Centel Telephone Co.

JOHN G. "JACK" FRICK
Long-time Niles resident
A funeral service was held for John G. "Jack" Frick, 85, on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Skaja Terrace Funeral home, Niles. Visitation was on Friday, Aug. 30, at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home.
Mr. Frick died on Monday, Aug. 27, while at his home in Niles, Illinois. He is survived by his son, Dr. Terry Frick and daughter-in-law, Lynn Frick. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Elinor O. Frick.
He worked for Lumberman's Credit Association for 55 years. Deeply committed to the community of Niles, he was part of the zoning board for 32 years, serving for several years as the board's acting chairman. Mr. Frick was a life time member of the Art Institute of Chicago and loved music, theater, the arts, and the outdoors.

LILLIAN SAK
Mt. Prospect resident
A funeral service for Lillian Sak, 81, was held on Saturday, Sept. 1, at St. Thomas Becket Church. Visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 31 at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles. Burial was held at All Saints Mausoleum.
Lillian Sak died on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. She is survived by sons, Dennis (Shirley), Alexander Jr. (Rose); sister, Eleanor Pearse; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Alexander; son, Walter; sister, Stephanie Maczko and brother, Ed Zima.
Masses are appreciated.

HERBERT R. SCHAEFFER
Resident of Prospect Hts. since 1934
Funeral services for Herbert R. Schaeffer will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Prospect Hts. Interment will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines. The wake will be held at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home in Arlington Hts. on Friday, Sept. 7 from 3 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Schaeffer was married to Agnes (nee Feldman) since 1931. He owned and operated Schaeffer's Barber Shop in Des Plaines from 1932 to 1985. And prior to that, he worked for Des Plaines Lumber and Coal. He passed away in his own home at age 96.
Survivors include his sons, Marvin W. and William H.; his grandchildren, Bernie (Mary) Schaeffer, Donald (Deborah) Schaeffer; Audrey (Martin) Spoerlein, Mary Kay (Lee) Cernuda, Susan (Joseph) Vitulli, Steven (Kimberly) Schaeffer, Scott (Sally) Schaeffer, and Jill (Fred) Marquardt; and his many, many great-grandchildren.

CAROLYN P. WESTHOFF
Niles resident
A funeral service for Carolyn P. Westhoff, 84, was held on June 27 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and on June 27 at St. Juliana Church.
Visitation was held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home on June 26. Burial took place at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
Mrs. Westhoff died on Sunday, June 24 at Lutheran General Hospital. A homemaker, she is survived by husband, Nicholas Westhoff; daughter, Carol (late Louis) Adorjan; granddaughters, Denise (Martin) Ciszon and Geneen (Timothy) Miller and grandson, Leonard (Karrie) Muscolino.

JOSEPH H. FEULNER
Des Plaines resident
A funeral mass for Joseph H. Feulner, 92, was celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. at Church of St. Richard, 76th & Penn Ave S., followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation was held on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Richard.
Mr. Feulner died on Sept. 30. He is survived by his wife Louise of 67 years; son, Roger and his wife Susan; grandsons, Christopher and his wife Mary Beth and Matthew and his wife Zonda; great granddaughters, Lauren and Samantha.
Mr. Feulner was born and raised in Chicago and worked in the theater business in the Chicago area for 60 years. During that time he was active in many community groups including the Chicago Variety Club, the Lions Club, and the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce and Park Board.

DAVID O. DALE, M.D.
Park Ridge resident
A memorial visitation service for David O. Dale, M.D., 78, was held at the Ryan Parke Funderal Home, Park Ridge on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2 - 3p.m.
Dr. Dale, 78, a respected Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon died peacfully in his sleep on Sept. 29. He is survived by Martha, his wife of 52 years; two children: Diane and David; and four grandchildren, Steven and Erica Reiling; Julia and David Dale.
Dr. Dale graduated New Trier High School in 1940, Chicago Medical School in 1945 and the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1956 Dr. Dale cared deeply for his family, friends, and his profession. He was gregarious, unfailingly honest, a relentless competitor and was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His direction and purpose in life was to take care of his family. He loved to play cards, argue any issue and play golf and socialize at his beloved Medinah Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, 1775 W. Dempster, Park Ridge, IL 60068.

ORLANDO C. GODUCO
Park Ridge resident
A funeral mass for Orlando C. Goduco, 76, was celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. at Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church. Interment followed in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Visitation was held at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 28, 3 - 9 p.m.
Mr. Goduco died on Sept. 25 in Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview. He is survived by his children: Philip Goduco and his wife Sajini; Susan Goduco; Ferdinand Goduco; Lisa Bunting and her husband Robert; Luis Goduco and his wife Catherine; Ralph Goduco; his siblings: Lilia Francisco; Carmelita Buena Ventura and her husband Larry and Romeo Goduco; and 7 grandchildren. Mr. Goduco was preceded in death by his wife Purificacion.

JANE HISSONG
A longtime Des Plaines resident
A funeral service for Jane Hissong, 69, was held on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Des Plaines. Visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 1 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home, Des Plaines. There was a private burial.
Mrs. Hissong died on Sept. 28 in her home in Des Plaines. She is survived by husband, F. Richard Hissong; son, David R. Hissong; daughter, Leslie Idstein; brother Clarence C. Eaton; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Idstein, Adam and Ashley Hissong. Mrs. Hissong was an Administrative Assistant for Refrigeration Service Engineers Society for 20 years.
Mrs. Hissong cherished her family and friends deeply and was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, doing crafts and working in her perennial garden.
Memorials made to First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines, Cystic Fibrosis and Rainbow Hospice are appreciated.

CHERYL "SHERRY" A. TRELLA
Arlington Heights resident
A funeral service for Cheryl "Sherry" A. Trella, 57, was held on Monday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m., at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Visitation was held at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 1 from 9 - 11 a.m. Interment was private.
Ms. Trella died on Sept. 27 in her Arlington Heights residence. She is survived by her aunt and uncle: Genevieve and Jerome A. Feit; cousins: Antonia Adducci; Jerome J. and Lawrence A. Feit.
Ms. Trella was an accountant.

RONALD P. HAZEN
Mt. Prospect resident
Ronald P. Hazen, 67, of Mt. Prospect died on Monday, Oct. 1, at Northwest Community Healthcare, in Arlington Hts.
A funeral Mass for Mr. Hazen will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, at St. Cecilia Church, Golf Rd. and Meier Rd., in Mt. Prospect.
Mr. Hazen was born on June 29, 1934, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. For 37 years he worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Bradley Kanara.
Survivors include his wife, Joan F. Hazen; children, Jeffrey Hazen, Craig (Doree) Hazen, Leese (Dennis) Kanara and Scott Hazen; grandchildren Marguerite Hazen, and Alexander and Lucas Kanara; sister, Mary Ann (Herb) Lang; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, and from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday, at the church.
Memorials to the American Lung Association or Masses would be preferred in lieu of flowers.
