Peggy Joanna Stroud, 67, Murray, died of a heart ailment Feb. 14, 2001, at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

Julianne Hughes, 57, of Winterset died of cancer April 8, 2001, at her daughter's home in Winterset. She was the widow of Harold Hughes, former Iowa governor and U.S. Senator.
A memorial reception will be 1 to 5 p.m. April 22 at the Isaac Walton League in Des Moines. Burial of cremated remains will be in Ida Grove at a later date. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic. The Rev. Clem Currans and Monsignor Lawrence Beeson will officiate. Burial will be in the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery. There is open visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. vigil service at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, 1006 Sixth St., Boone.
