Marion A. Miller, 83, of Guttenberg died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Services were conducted by Rev. Tom Martin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where visitation was held on Friday.

Jeffrey S. Galle, 21, of 757 Berkley Place, Dubuque, died Friday morning, Jan. 26, 2001, as the result of an auto accident. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, both in Dubuque.

LLOYD "BUD" BOND
Services for Lloyd "Bud" Bond will be held Thursday, Feb. 1 [2001], at 11:00 a.m. at the Colesburg United Methodist Church with burial in the Brown Cemetery. Mr. Bond died Sunday night at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Leonard Funeral Home in Edgewood. BERNITA M. GRAYBILL
Services for Bernita M. Graybill, 88, of Guttenberg were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 [2001], at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Guttenberg.
Visitation was Friday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

THOMAS J. AMLING
Services for Thomas J. Amling, 69, of Elkport were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22 [2001], at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elkport, and were conducted by Rev. Tom E. Martin.
Visitation was Sunday at the Leonard Funeral Home, Edgewood, and before services at the church on Monday.

RUTH C. SUTTON
Services for Ruth C. Sutton, 98, of Garnavillo were conducted by Rev. Gary Hatcher at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 [2001], at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.
Visitation was at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.

RAYMOND H. ANDEREGG
Raymond H. Anderegg, 67, a former Guttenberg resident, died Jan. 1, 2001 in Yuma, Ariz.
A private memorial service was held on Jan. 2 in Yuma. Mr. Anderegg's body was cremated and will be interred in Guttenberg in April, 2001.

LOIS M. LEY
Services for Lois M. Ley, 80, were conducted by Rev. Boyd Kuester at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 [2001], at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls.
Mrs. Ley died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls, with the following casket bearers: Richard Burroughs, Brian Burroughs, Steven Burroughs and Eric Hughes. Honorary bearer was Hugh Fries.

EULA A. EVERY
Funeral services for Eula A. Every of Colesburg were conducted by Rev. Scott Kisker at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 [2000], at the Colesburg Methodist Church. Music was by Chris Jackson and Art Holthaus. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery, rural Colesburg, with the following casket bearers: Tony Every, Toby Every, Shane Every, Mitch Every, Chad Deutmeyer and Matt Deutmeyer.

GEORGE G. GRAYBILL
George Glendor Graybill was born in Millville, Iowa, Jan. 14, 1936 to Emmet and Bernita Graybill. He passed away at his home in Clinton, Iowa, on Dec. 29, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his mother, Bernita Graybill; one brother and two sisters, Norma (Harold) Fatchett of Clinton, Robert (Lorna) Graybill of Guttenberg, and Joyce (Gerald) Stavely of Irving, Texas.

GEORGE "DUANE" MOSER
Services for George "Duane" Moser of rural Colesburg were conducted by Rev. Scott Kisker at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 [2000], at the United Methodist Church in Colesburg. Music was by Sue Daker and Art Holthaus.
Visitation was at the Leonard Funeral Home in Edgewood on Tuesday and also at the church before services.

MARY ANN NIEMEYER
Services for Mary Ann Niemeyer, 35, of Guttenberg were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 [2000], at St. Mary Catholic Church, Guttenberg, and were conducted by Msgr. John McClean.
Visitation was before services at the church.

ROSEMARY D. BIEDERMAN
Mrs. Irvin J. (Rosemary D.) Biederman, 80, formerly of 320 Olympic Heights, Dubuque, died at 10:50 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at ManorCare Health Services, Dubuque.
Services were Wednesday at Holy Ghost Church, Dubuque, at 10:00 a.m., with burial in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

GRACE TOPEL
Funeral services for Grace Topel, 90, were held at the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 [2000], and were conducted by Rev. Dennis Gilbert. Music was by Ric Benzing and Keith and Dixie Kutzbach.
Visitation was Tuesday at Schultz's Funeral Home in Monona.

Carroll W. Meyer, 84, of Guttenberg died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000 at the Guttenberg Care Center.
Services were conducted by Msgr. John McClean at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Guttenberg.

MATHILDA E. GEUDER
Services for Mathilda E. Geuder, 89, of Guttenberg were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 [2000], at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.
Visitation was Wednesday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

MAYLO M. MOSER
Maylo Marie Moser, 48 of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000 at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, after a long illness.
Maylo was born on Sept. 16, 1952 in Guttenberg.

Berniece N. Thein, 81, formerly of Manchester, died Friday Morning, Dec. 8, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa, after a short illness.

LOUIS E. DAILEY
Louis E. Dailey Jr. died Dec. 16, 2000 at 8:20 a.m. in Powellsville, N.C. He was born in Lumberton, N.C., on Feb. 8, 1919. He is survived by his wife, Doris Miller Dailey; a daughter, Sheron Jeanenne Dailey of Terre Haute, Ind.; a son-in-law, Thomas B. Tucker, also of Terre Haute; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Reid and Jane Daniels of concord, N.C.; a step daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Dennis Rodger of Hopewell, Va.; special friends, Bobby and Linda Bristow of Powellsville, N.C., and numerous other friends and family.

Juanita A. Kann, 90, of Guttenberg died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at the Guttenberg Care Center.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at St. Mary Catholic Church and were conducted by Msgr. John McClean.

BURNELL L. REINITZ
Burnell L. Reinitz, 78, of Guttenberg died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at the Mercy Health Center in Dubuque.
Services were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.
Visitation was at the funeral home on Saturday.

GRACE S. TOWNSEND
Grace S. Townsend, 93, who resided at the Guttenberg Care Center, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was formerly of Chicago and Venice, Fla.
Private services will be held at a later date with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Colesburg.

GARY H. CLEFISCH
Gary H. Clefisch, 50, of Guttenberg died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at the Mercy Health Center in Dubuque.
Services were conducted by Rev. Tom Martin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at St. John¹s Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Personal memories were given by Dr. James Pasut.
Visitation was Wednesday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Leo P. Errthum, 88, of Holy Cross died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000 at Mercy Hospital, Dyersville.
Friends called from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross, where the parish scripture service was recited at 4:00 p.m.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Holy Cross with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Services for Dorothy M. Palmer, 84, of Guttenberg were conducted by Rev. Penny Hansel at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11 [2000], at the United Methodist Church, Guttenberg. Soloist was Dave Poggenklass.
Mrs. Palmer died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at the Guttenberg Care Center.

Stanley Henry Schroeder, 79, of Guttenberg, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a sudden illness. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the St. John¹s Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Visitation was from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. DICK CATHCART
Dick Cathcart of Reedsburg, Wis., a teacher and coach in the Guttenberg school in the mid-sixties, died last week of an apparent heart attack. Cards may be addressed to his wife, Jean, at 555 Reed St., Reedsburg, WI 553959.

Services for Nicholas “Nick” H. Brady, 20, of Edgewood were conducted by the Rev. Kent d. Newlon at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 [2000], at Trinity United Methodist Church in Edgewood.
Interment was in the Edgewood Cemetery.

IMELDA E. BOECKENSTEDT
Imelda E. Boeckenstedt, 71, of New Vienna died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Friends called from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Kramer funeral Home in Dyersville, where the Parish Scripture Service was recited at 7:00 p.m.

RICHARD “Dick” LEE PEET
Richard “Dick” Lee Peet, 70, of 256 Hickory Rd., Guttenberg, formerly of Central City, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a short illness.
Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the United Church of Christ, Central City, conducted by Rev. Jonna Jensen with military rites by American Legion Wapsie Post #421 of Central City. There was no visitation.

IONA L. DUWE
Iona L. Duwe, 92, of Garnavillo died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 17, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.

JEFF A. PRESSLEY
Jeff A. Pressley, 38, of Monroe, Wis., suddenly died on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
Jeff was born Jan. 31, 1962 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He attended South Tama county High School in Tama and in 1986 received an applied science degree in electronic engineering technology from the Hawkeye Technical Institute in Waterloo. He married Karen Zearley on Dec. 4, 1987 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Scott Marrese-Wheeler of Union Presbyterian Church, Monroe, officiating. Friends called at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Alo E. Tomkins, 79, of Guttenberg died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
Services were conducted by Rev. Tom Martin at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.

Services for James D. Basler, 77, of Guttenberg were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13 [2000], at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.
He died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Katherine A. Rolfes, 100, of Garnavillo died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000 at the Central Community Hospital in Elkader.

Judith Ann Hutchison, 59, of Brandenton, Fla., died on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 at the Blake Memorial Hospital in Brandenton. She was born on Aug. 24, 1941 in Moline, Ill., to Kenneth and Anna (Verstraette) Sullivan.

Iona Duwe, 92, of Garnavillo died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Arrangements were pending at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home at the time of publication.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 6, 2000 at the Cambridge Crematorium in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.

Ann L. Schenke, 61, of Ankeny, formerly of Edgewood, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines due to complications from a 1989 liver transplant, and cardiac arrest. Services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Ankeny on Monday, Oct. 23.

Harvey Lee Kimball, 82, of Grundy Center, formerly of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000 at the Augustana Nursing Home in Minneapolis, Minn. Graveside Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Guttenberg City Cemetery. The Rev. Harold McMillin officiated.

RAYMOND T. ST. JOHN Raymond T. St. John, 80, of 3019 Country Club Drive, Charlotte and Boone, N.C., died Saturday evening. Oct. 28, 2000 at his home. Funeral mass for Mr. St. John was conducted Thursday afternoon at 12:15 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Officiating was Father Shawn O'Neal. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock.

LUCIEL KUEHL Luciel Kuehl, 86, of Garnavillo, died on Monday, Oct. 23, 2000 at Central Community Hospital in Elkader. Funeral services are pending with the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Garnavillo.

Ann C. Duwe, 58, of Guttenberg died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Services were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at St. John's Lutheran church in Guttenberg.

IDA MAE BEHREND
Services for Ida Mae Behrend, 72, of the Millville area, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 [2000], at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Guttenberg and will be conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin.
Burial will be in the Friedlein Cemetery at Millville.

Ronald Priebe, 64, of Garnavillo died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a sudden illness. Services were conducted by Rev. Jacob Danner at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, where visitation was held.

WILBUR BALMOS Wilbur Balmos, 95, of Muscatine, a teacher in the Guttenberg High School in the 1930's, died Sept. 20, 2000 at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine.

CLINTON T. SHEDIVY
Clinton T. Shedivy, 16, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born Jan. 24, 1984 in Prairie du Chien, Wis., son of Eli and Kim (Zinkle) Shedivy. He was currently in his junior year at Prairie du Chien High School, and previously attended Guttenberg High School, where he played quarterback on the football team. Clint was employed at Cabela's in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chine. Friends called after 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oct. 13, at the church, where there was a wake scripture at 8:00 p.m. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien was in charge of arrangements.

JOHN N. "JACK" FEE
John N. "Jack" Fee, 70, of Dubuque, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque.

IVANELLE SCHULTZ
Ivanelle Schultz, 74, of Guttenberg died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000 at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Services were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg. Burial was in Guttenberg City Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Brett Schultz, Randy Schultz, Eric Schultz and Robyn Schultz. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home.

LESLIE PERSHING LAWRENCE
Leslie Pershing Lawrence, 82, died Sept. 25, 2000 in Harlan, following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Sept. 27 [2000] at the Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca. He was born March 10, 1918 on a farm just north of Portsmouth to George and Pearl Legan Lawrence, the oldest of five sons. He married Frances Davis of Shelby on Sept. 16, 1940. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union.

GENEVIEVE L. TACKMAN
Genevieve L. Tackman, 78, of Waukon, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial was in the Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg. Casketbearers were Bob, Ervin, and Kenny Tackman, Rick and Derrek Johnson, and Rev. Lynn Groe.

ZACHARY LUIS SHERMAN
Zachary Luis Sherman, 17, of Edgewood died Sunday morning, Oct. 1, 2000 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident four miles west of Colesburg. Memorial services were conducted by Rev. Kent Newton at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Edgewood. Music was by Duane Werger and the Ed-Co High School Band.
