Michael Lynn Starling 
ALBANY — Michael Lynn Starling, 40, of 429 Johnson Road, Albany, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Countyline Baptist Church in Sasser with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Columbus Williams will officiate. 

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Mr. Starling was a maintenance technician. He had attended the public schools in Dougherty County. He was a member of Beaulah Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his mother, Daisy B. Starling; father, Willie J. Starling (Mary) of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Willie J. Starling Jr. (Patricia) of Tallahassee, Fla., Arthur Starling of Washington, DC, and Darryl Brown (Carrie) of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Valarie Flowers (Marvin), Dianne Martin (Gerald), and Yolanda Blue (Kelvin) all of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandmother, Oberziner Cheeks; grandfather, Willie Cheeks of Albany, Ga.

Eleanor Joyce Baskin 
ALMA — Eleanor Joyce (Sally) Baskin, 71, of Alma died early Thursday morning, April 5, 2001, in the Valdosta Georgia Medical Center after an extended illness. 

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Alma First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Pierce officiating. The body will be carried to the church at 3 p.m. to lie in state. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Blakely City Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Pierce. 

A native of Early County, Ga., Mrs. Baskin had lived in Alma since 1956. She was the daughter of the late Oswald Harris King Sr. and Nina Brown King, wife of the late James Louis Baskin Sr. A member of the Alma First Baptist Church and a retired school teacher after thirty-six years. She was preceded in death by a son, James Louis Baskin Jr. and a sister, Odelia Bowman.

Survivors include one son, Stron Baskin of Ray City, Ga.; a daughter, Beverly McBride of Sumter, S.C.; three brothers, O.H. King, Hardy Jim King and Bobby King, all of Blakely, Ga.; two sisters, Lanez Mock of Blakely and Betty Chandler of Hendersonville, N.C.; also five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Oscar L. Lunsford
CUTHBERT — Oscar Luther Lunsford, 91, of Cuthbert, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert. The graveside funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from East View Cemetery in Cuthbert. The Rev. Tracy Brinson and the Rev. Charles Christmas will officiate. 

Mr. Lunsford was born March 23, 1910, in Del Rio, Tenn., son of the late James and Mary Shelton Lunsford. He and his wife owned and operated Lunsford Funeral Home from 1947 to 1966. He served as Randolph County Coroner from 1956 until 1978. He was a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Nashville, Tenn., was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Cuthbert, and was a Mason. Mr. Lunsford served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. 

Survivors include his wife, Martha Christmas Lunsford of Cuthbert; a daughter, Mary Ann Beacham and her husband Charles of Lawrenceville, four grandchildren, Chad Beacham, Katie Beacham, Ron Lunsford and Rhonda Lunsford. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lunsford.

Mabel Elizabeth Roushey 
DAWSON — Mabel Elizabeth Roushey of Bronwood, Ga., formerly of Oxen Hill, Md., died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Seymour Southern Comforts in Bronwood, Ga. 

The visitation was held at 3 p.m.-4 p.m. Friday at Seymour Southern Comforts, 202 East Main St., Hwy. 118, Bronwood, Ga., and the funeral followed at 4 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harris, Rev. Pete Daughtry and Rev. Randy Carnley will officiated. Mrs. Roushey was a native of Oxen Hill, Md., born April 26, 1920, daughter of the late Clarance and Maybell Brown. 

Mrs. Roushey had lived the past 10 years in Bronwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Bronwood United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roushey and a daughter, Sandra Miller. 

Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Seymour of Bronwood, Gail Ann Vanik of Lorton, Va., Terry Lynn Hays of Waldolf, Md., and one son, Jeffery F. Keyser of Waldolf, Md.; three grandchildren, Charles H. Radcliffe, Neal Radcliffe and Dante Ferrigno, all of Albany, Ga., and four great-grandchildren, Aree Radcliffe, Nichols Radcliffe, Scarlett Ferrigno and Matteo Ferrigno, all of Albany, Ga.

CAMILLA — Marilyn R. Stewart, 48, of Leesburg died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Live Oak Freewill Baptist Church in Baker County with burial in Live Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Melvin Moody will officiate.

Born July 28, 1952, in Miller County, Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker and member of Live Oak Freewill Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her husband, D. Lamar (Bubba) Stewart of Leesburg, Ga.; three daughters, Buffy Davis Roach of Newton, Kelly Knight of Leesburg and Melissa Hay of Newton; two stepdaughters, Tamara Stewart and Tracy Neiburt, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, Melvin Rathel of Morgan and Ronald (Runt) Rathel of Albany; seven grandchildren.

Lettie Downer West
RICHLAND — Lettie Downer West, 90, of Rt. 1, Parrott, Ga., died Friday, April 6, 2001, at Dawson Manor Nursing Home in Dawson. 

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in Macedonia Cemetery, Webster County. The Rev. Kenneth L. West and the Rev. Wallace Willis will officiate.

A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. West was a homemaker, a member of Weston Womans' Club, a former member of Mt. Olive Ladies Aide, a former member of Parrott Baptist Sunday School, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She graduated from Beauty School at an early age and was a self-employed beautician-cosmetologist in her home for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Monk" West in 1986, and a son, Heyward Wansley West in 1954. 

Survivors include two sons, Gary Milton (Delie) West of Parrott, Ga. and the Rev. Kenneth Lee (Rose) West of Pelham, Ga.; brother, J.T. Downer of Plains, Ga.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

The Deacons of Macedonia Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Music for the service will be provided by the Macedonia Choir with Janet Burks, pianist, singing "Amazing Grace" and "Peace in the Valley." 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church.

A native of Tift County, Ga., Ms. Woodruff was the daughter of the late Charlie W. and Ida Mae Phelps Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Woodruff. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday School Class for many years. 

Survivors include her children, Robert T. Woodruff of Jacksonville, Fla., Donald W. Woodruff of Sarasota, Fla., and Doris W. Hewitt of Conley, Ga.; brothers, Otis Fowler of Sycamore, Ga., Lester Fowler of Forest Park, Ga., Horace Fowler of Chula, Ga., Gene Fowler of Eufala, Ala., and Elroy Fowler of Milledgeville, Ga.; sisters, Dorothy Weldon of Tifton, Ga., and Mae Wilson of Macon, Ga.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
