A native of Rabun County, Mr. Gibson was a son of the late Robert and Donnie Nation Gibson and was preceded in death by a son, Tony Gibson. He was of the Baptist faith.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. James Souther officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Gibson Bradshaw, Demorest; two sons, Bobby Gibson, Cornelia, and Charles Gibson, Demorest; five sisters, Ethel House, Mount Airy, Hazel Nation and Betty Winkler, Demorest, and Pearl Tomlin, Cornelia, and Carolyn Martin, Clarkesville; three brothers, Charles Gibson, Macon, Earl Gibson, Clarkesville, and Ernest Gibson, Demorest.
The family is at the residence of Carolyn Martin and will receive friends today at the funeral home.

William J. Haley

William J. Haley, 73, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999.
Mr. Haley was a son of the late Ralph H. and Jennie J. Haley. He was retired from Carwood Manufacturing, where he was a controller for 44 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with the Revs. J. Fred Breed and Brock Burnette officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy A. Haley; two daughters, Patti Dillard, Gainesville, and Pam Martin, Winder; a sister, Roberta Seymour, Savannah; a brother, Ralph Haley, Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

John B. Halliburton Jr.

John B. Halliburton Jr., 75, of 8254 Old Church Road died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999.
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Mr. Halliburton was a son of the late John B. Sr. and Gladys Trazzare Halliburton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Textile Consultant and a retired Professor at the University of Southern Tech.
A memorial service will be announced later.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John B. III and Dana Halliburton, Toccoa; and a son, Robert Lewis Halliburton, Cartersville.

Jerry Curtis Harris Jr., 32, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999.
A native of Athens, Mr. Harris was a son of Jerry Curtis Harris Sr. and Betty J. Bush Harris.
Services were Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, West, with the Rev. Winfred Hope officiating. The body was placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Erin Elizabeth Harris, Florida; two sons, Nicholas Harris and Christopher Harris, both of Martinsburg, W.Va.; his fiancee and mother of his sons, Amy Lopez, Martinsburg; a sister, Tia Harris, Athens; his maternal grandmother, Betty L. Bush, Athens; and his maternal great-grandmother, Leila Hughley, Athens.
Pallbearers will be members of the Clarke County High School class of 1985.

Montine Knight McIntyre, 65, of 175 Killian Hill Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999.
A native of Pelzer, S.C., Mrs. Knight was a daughter of the late Broadus Knight and Ruby Peeples Knight and was the widow of Bert McIntyre. She was self-employed in the rental property industry and was a member of the Church of God International.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakview Cemetery, Canon, with the Rev. Ben Rogers officiating.
Survivors include a son, Paul McIntyre, Tucker; two sisters, Helen Detter, Royston, and Sheryl Brodie, Bogart; a brother, Dale Knight, Canon; and seven grandchildren.

A native of Augusta, Mr. McCord was a son of Janie McCord, Hartwell, and James Huff, Elberton.

A native of Greene County, Mrs. Monfort was a daughter of the late Tom and Lula Monfort. She was a member of New Springfield Baptist Church.

A native of Washington County, Mrs. O'Quinn was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Eula Jordan Wiggins and was the widow of Arthur L. O'Quinn. She was a housemother at the Masonic Children's Home and Georgia Industrial Children's Home, Macon. She was a member of McConnell Memorial Baptist Church, Hiawassee, and was a charter member of Hiawassee Chapter, O.E.S.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Hoyt Nelms, Hull; a sister, Willene Jordan, Savannah; a brother, Thomas A. Wiggins Jr., Sandersville; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Angela and Leon Rouse, Linda Kay and George Holloman, all of Hull, and Judy and Gary Cochrane, Marietta; a grandson, Leonard Nelms, Houston, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren.

A native of Jefferson County, Mr. White was a son of the late William and Louisiana Johnson White Sr. He attended Rosedale High School, Birmingham, Ala. He later attended Wenonah Trade School where he became a certified shoe repairman and was a member of Union Baptist Church, Homewood, Ala.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. S.L. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Greensboro. The body will be placed in the church at noon.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Barnhart White; three daughters, Pamela L. White and Alice White Farley, Atlanta, and Betty Jean White, Greensboro; a son, Albert E. White Jr., Greensboro; five sisters, Edna White Wiley, Sarah White Davis and Anita White Carson, all of Greensboro, Laura White Knight, Atlanta, and Eliza White Hyde, Los Angeles; three brothers, Nathan L. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Vaughn Howington Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.

A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Evie Thomason Prichett and was the widow of Dayton Ward. She was a retired beautician and was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Nails Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Black and Albert Hudson officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Robertson officiating at the graveside. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Survivors include two daughter, Jean Williams and Agnes Simmons, both of Toccoa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Luther Thomas Wood, 74, formerly of Oglethorpe County, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999.
A native of Banks County, Mr. Wood was a son of the late Artis Arthur Wood and Ethel Sanders Wood. He was preceded in death by a son, Alex Tilden Wood. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European and Asiatic Theatres. He retired in 1978 as an engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was very active in Baptist churches, serving as a deacon, trustee, church treasurer and member of building committee. Presently, he was a member of Pine Top Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pine Top Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Tanner and Keith A. Wood, Mr. Wood's son, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Fields Wood; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Keith A. and Judy Wood, Cartersville, and Eric T. and Cindy Wood, Blairsville; two sisters, Bobbie S. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Cole was a son of the late Henry Artis and Lucy Crump Cole. He was a retired building contractor, dairy farmer, and inspector with Farmers Home Administration, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Middle River Baptist Church.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Middle River Baptist Church, with the Revs. W.G. Edwards, Paul Jameson, and Fred Heard officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery.

A native of Jackson County, Mr. Harbin was a son of the late John Lewis and Hattie Wilson Harbin. He was a retired painter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will in Woodbine Cemetery.
Survivors include: four daughters, Rita Patterson, Jefferson, Jennifer Allen, Hull, and Joyce Wheeler and Gail Gordon, both of Winder; a son, Robert Harbin, Columbus; three sisters, Ethel Harbin and Mettie Voyles, both of Jefferson, and Katie Reynolds, Winder; and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Tarella Carey Harper, 98, of 742 Careytown Road died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999.
A native of Madison County, Mrs. Harper was a daughter of the late Epp and Molly Sexton Carey, and widow of John Terah Harper. She was a homemaker and member of Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a former organist and pianist.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Merritt Waters officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Imogene Oliver, Austell, and Marcelene Bryant, Royston; two sons, Andrew Elliot Harper and Clyde Harper, both of Royston; a sister, Lerlin Sartain, Danielsville; two brothers, Coy Carey, Monroe, La., and Benson Carey, Polkton, N.C.; and five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family is at the residence of Marcelene Bryant, 631 Careytown Road, Royston, and will receive friends 9-11 a.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home.

A native of Oconee County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Charlie and Ella Mae Jackson. He was a member of Oconee Baptist Church, Stephens.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Timothy Baptist Church, with the Revs. Hoyt Smith and Jerry Hutchins officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife, Trudie Hunter Jackson; a daughter, Marstine Keese, Bronx, N.Y.; three sons, Raymond Jackson, Jessie Jackson, and Eddie Jackson Jr., all of Athens; and 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

A native of Tolbert County, Mrs. Riden was a daughter of the late William Emmett and Hobbs Tippin and was widow of Roy Guy Riden. She was a housewife and member of First United Methodist Church, Loyal Daughters Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women Prime Timers, Fairplay Club, and United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Madison, with the Rev. Tom Kerr officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Bostwick City Cemetery.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Jane Ward, Forest Park, Annelle Argo, Madison, and Emily Duke, Lawrenceville; a sister, Nell Newbern, Mableton; and four grandsons.
