Thelma Bray Dorsey, 73, died Sunday Dec. 6, 1998.
A native of Clarke County, Ms. Dorsey was a daughter of the late Albert R. and Dorothy Shannon Bray Dorsey. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a retired elementary school teacher. She was one of the first female underwriters for Allstate Insurance Co. She attended Green Acres Baptist Church and was president of the Retired Teachers Association, Oglethorpe County.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Ray Austin and Bryan Whitfield officiating.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Albert R. and Frankie Dorsey Jr., Franklin, Tenn.; a niece, Sandra D. Borentski, Stockbridge; two nephews, Albert R. Dorsey III, Brentwood, Tenn., and Frank E. Dorsey, Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandnieces; and one grandnephew.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bray, Steve Bray, Jerry Long, Chris Burrows and Richard Shoemaker.

John Robert ''J.R.'' Greene, 43, of 2186 M.F. Stewart Road died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998.
A native of Atlanta, Mr. Greene was a son of John Robert Greene Sr. and Penelope G. Andrews Rosser. He was an employee of Fairfield Century 21, Fort Mill, S.C.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Buck Burdette officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Susan Donald; four daughters, Angel Greene Moore, Amanda Lynn Greene, April Lynn Greene, and Alicia Lynn Greene, all of La Grange; a son, Justin Greene, Elberton; a step-daughter, Brooke Donald, Clover, S.C.; two step-sons, Danny Donald and Ryan Donald, both of Clover, S.C.; and two grandchildren.

Don Robert Hunt, 66, of 1754 Thomson Road died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998.
A native of McDuffie County, Mr. Hunt was a son of the late Amie LeRoy Hunt and Doris Lazenby Hunt and the widower of Hazel Patterson Hunt. He was a retired employee of Pet Milk Company and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Goldmine Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Herman Bradley and George Hollis officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynne H. Oliver, Conyers, and Patti M. Hunt, Washington; two sons, Donald T. Hunt, Gainesville, and Kevin Hunt, Elberton; three sisters, Dorothy Callahan, Covington, Carolyn Clements, Warner Robbins, and Annette Heisick, Edina, Minn.; two brothers, LeRoy Hunt, Washington, and John Hunt, Warner Robbins; and four grandchildren.

Ethel Elease Fleming Mouchet, 83, of 45 Walnut St. died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998.
A native of Hart County, Mrs. Mouchet was a daughter of the late Michael T. and Lillian Sanders Fleming and the widow of Addison Lamar Mouchet. She was a retired employee of Lyman-Matheson Manufacturing, Toccoa, and was a former co-owner and accountant of Mouchet Manufacturing. She was a former member of Hill Street Baptist Church, Toccoa, was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Hartwell, and the Carolyn Brown Sunday School Class.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Mildred Gaines Seawright, 80, of 1046 Nancy Hart School Road died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1998.
A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Seawright was a daughter of the late Sanford Boswell Gaines and Lucy Amelia Haley Gaines and the widow of Thomas Clyde Seawright. She attended the Monroe Women's Academy and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, the United Methodist of Women and was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Cokesbury United Methodist Church with the Revs. Al Key, R.H. Seawright and John M. ''Dusty'' Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred ''Pudge'' Smith and Polly S. Cromer, both of Hartwell; three sons, Frank Seawright, Avondale Estates, Bob Seawright, Newnan, and Bill Seawright, Canon; a sister, Ethel Moore, Hartwell; and five grandchildren.

A native of Franklin County, Ms. Sewell was a daughter of the late Jasper and Myrtle Fulghum Sewell. She was a personal care-giver for the elderly and for children and was a member of Allens United Methodist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at B.D. Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leon Carson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Lavonia.

Julius Dubose died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998.
A native of Elbert County, Mr. Dubose was the son of Tom Bell Hester and the late Annie Sue Dubose Fortson. He was a professional photographer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cades Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. James Allen Jr. officiating and the Rev. Johnny Waller assisting.

A native of Banks County, he was the son of the late Will B. Cash and the late Sarah Gailey Cash. He was a retired poultry farmer and a member of Maysville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Maysville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brian Stowe officiating. Interment will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens in Commerce.

Joseph King Lee, 81, of 652 Rosedale St., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998.
A native of Falcon, N.C., Mr. E. and Caro Wellons Lee and widower of Betty Garrison Lee. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired G.B.I. Officer, having served with the State of Georgia as a Revenue Agent in the Alcohol Division and as a Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Toccoa, the Curtis Wesley Sunday school class, the American Legion Post No. 104, and the Masonic Lodge No. 309. He was a member and co-founder of the Tri-State Law Enforcement Conference. After retiring from the State, he was employed with the Stephens County Hospital for five years, where he developed the hospital security program.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bob Partridge and Jack Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Jo Poole, Toccoa, Jean Anderson, Watkinsville, Teresa Farr, Jonesboro, and Karen Parker, Grayson; a sister, Mildred Carroll, Eastanollee; a brother, the Rev. J. Doner Lee, Falcon, N.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Ray Harold McAllister, 79, of Ola Street died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998.
A native of Oconee County, S.C., Mr. McAllister was a son of the late Franklin Eugene and Anna Mae Westmoreland McAllister. He was a retired employee of WABCO Company and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Heaven Bound Sunday school class.
Services were Thursday at Whitlock Mortuary with the Revs. Jack Sosby, Larry King and Tim Miller officiating. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Oliver was a son of the late Charlie and Rilla Mae Crawford Oliver. He was retired from the Advocate Press (Lifesprings) in Franklin Springs and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Bradshaw and A.D. Beacham Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ruhamah Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Gwendolyn Rayford, Atlanta; Cathy Wright, raised in the home as a daughter; three sons, Rudolph Rayford, Douglas Smith and Cedric Smith, all of Atlanta; three sisters, Ida Nesbitt, Mattie Kennebrew, both of Woodville, and Lula Mae Latimore; Atlanta; a brother, Eddie Fulton, Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Helen C. Rickett

Helen C. Rickett, 74, of 1208 Fairway Drive, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998.
A native of Houston County, Mrs. Rickett was a daughter of the late J.B. Cliett Sr. and Helen Ingram Cliett. She was a retired employee from Robins Air Force Base. She was a charter and active member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary for Perry Hospital for the Perry First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Perry Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Elder Gordon Buchanan and Randy Kennedy officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Max Rickett; a daughter, Faye R. Kemp, Athens; four sisters, Adelaide C. Ruzze, Perry, Evelyn C. Hayes, Fort Valley, Ann C. Locke, Memphis, Tenn. and Elizabeth Maddox, Hampstead, N.C.; and nieces and nephews.

Joseph P. Rice

Joseph Paul "J.P." Rice Jr., of 930 Skyline Drive, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998.
A native of Royston, Mr. Rice was a son of the late Joseph Paul Sr. and Lola York Rice. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was owner and operator of Rice Party Supplies and Sew-Vac, Toccoa. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4346, and the Elks Lodge BPOE No. 1820. He was co-founder of the Moose Lodge, Lavonia.
Funeral mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel R. Tool officiating. Burial will be in Toccoa City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Glenn Rice; two daughters, Joan Marie Hackett, Seattle, Wash., and Connie Rice Nelms, Toccoa; a son, Joseph Rice, Toccoa; two sisters, Vera Belle Harper, Royston, and Shelvie Jean Edens, Morrow; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Couch, Hugh Brown, Harold Atkinson, Mike Edens, Kendall Harper and Bob Edens.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the residence.

Norene Wood Sanders, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Sanders was a daughter of the late Homer and Ruby Smith Harrison Sanders Sr. She had lived most of her life in Oglethorpe County and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Lindsey officiating.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Sanders, Omaha, Robert Sanders and Ray Sanders, both of Stephens, and Nathan H. Sanders, Stockbridge; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Frank Edwin Sheriff, 81, of Memorial Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1998.
A native of Stephens County, Mr. Sheriff was a son of the late Lee and Virgie Jordan Sheriff. He was a member and deacon of Rock Creek Baptist Church and was a member of the adult men's Sunday school class.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Leon Miller and Crate Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Busha Sheriff; two sisters, Genell Garland, Toccoa, and Montine Stonecypher, Eastanollee; two brothers, Willie Sheriff, Eastanollee, and Tommy Sheriff, Toccoa; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Sheriff, Chad Sheriff, Shane Sheriff, Ashley Hayes, Donnie Thomason and Richard Pulliam.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Ruth Victoria King Sosebee, 66, of Route 3 Rider Road, died A native of Oconee County, S.C., Mrs. Sosebee was a daughter of the late Dalton and Belle Hill King. She was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Roger Elrod and Charles Savage officiating. Burial will be in Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, John Winford Sosebee; a daughter, Martha Murray, Toccoa; three sons, Tony Sosebee, Dallas, Texas, and Randy Sosebee and Michael Sosebee, both of Toccoa; two sisters, Pauline Sanders, Toccoa, and Rebecca Hart, Seneca, S.C.; a brother, Richard King, Anderson, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Michael Sosebee, Matthew Sosebee, Caleb Murray, Mark Sosebee, Joshua Murray and James Murray.

A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Terry was a daughter of the late Henry Daniel and Alice Pittman Stephens. She was an RN with St. Lukes Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of St. Joseph's Young At Heart, the Tuckston Senior Citizens, the ACCA-RSVP Volunteer and the Post No. 10 Amvets Auxiliary.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Wesley Stephens and Deacon Bill Lakin officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include a brother, Coy Stephens, Athens; three nephews; and a niece and family friend, Frances Victor.
