Services for Dorothy McClelland Abercia will be private. Abercia, 65, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Born in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Posey and Mildred McClelland. She had lived in Macon for the past 19 years and was retired from Central Freight Lines. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church.

Survivors include her children, Michael Anthony Abercia and Patrick Abercia, both of Waller, Texas, Jack Abercia of Houston, Texas, and David Abercia of Cypress, Texas; sisters, Ethel Curry of Luftin, Texas, and Connie Diess of Conroe, Texas; and three grandchildren. Rodney Brinson

CORDELE --- Services for Rodney Jerome Brinson will be at noon Thursday in the Church of God in Christ with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Brinson, 33, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Brinson; children, Brendaria Brinson and Janae Brinson, both of Cordele; parents, Ronnie Brinson of Vero Beach, Fla. and Beauty Mae Davis of Warner Robins; brother and sister, Byron Brinson of Cordele and Tinette Williams of Bellevue, Neb.; and grandparents, Pastor Ethel Mae Brown and Jessie Lee Brown.

GORDON --- Services for Carrie Louise Sanders Brooks will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in White Columns Funeral Home with burial in Ramah Cemetery. Brooks, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. She was born in Gordon. The widow of Glen E. Brooks, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Hobbs of Covington; brother, William Sanders of Mayesville; and two grandchildren.

MILLEDGEVILLE --- Services for Claude Benjamin Campbell will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Moores Funeral Home with burial in Scenic Memorial Gardens. Campbell, 75, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. Born in Early County, he made his home in Baldwin County for many years. A Navy veteran, he was the owner and operator of Campbell's TV Repair. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Dent Campbell; children, Richard Campbell, Kay Niblett, Fay Johnson and Vickie Brookins, all of Milledgeville, Sherry Farr of Eatonton and Sandy Mader of Carthage, Mo.; brother, Wesley Campbell of Brunswick; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

FORSYTH --- Services for Dafner Martha Crook will be at 2 p.m. today in Rocky Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Crook, 81, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Tennie Ivey Williams. The widow of Karonie Crook, she was retired from the William Carter Co. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Smith Cown of Stone Mountain and Carl Donald Smith of Forsyth; brothers and sister, Warren Williams and Otto Williams, both of Forsyth, and Juanita Browning of Fort Valley; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Services for Rufus Davis Sr. will be at 1 p.m. today in New Fellowship Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Davis, 73, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999. The widower of Geraldine Davis, he was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 33 years and was a member of DALU Local 461. He was a member of St. James AME Church, the steward and trustee boards and the male choir.

LAWTON, Okla. --- Services for retired Sfc. Clarence H. Holt will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Olivet Baptist Church with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born in Rochelle, he was the son of J.C. Holt. An Army veteran, he received the Good Conduct Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifle Medal. He owned and operated Modern Method Two-Way Communications and two pawn shops and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie Gordon Holt; children, Sharon Pyle of Elgin, Okla., Patti Antone of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jackie Holt of Alpharetta; brother and sister, Edward Holt of Saint Albans, Vt., and Shirley Wolf of Vienna; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ann Jackson

HAZELHURST --- Services for Ann Jackson will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Miles Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Cemetery in Wheeler County. Jackson, 74, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Born in Wheeler County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Leroy Bridges Sr. The widow of C.D. Jackson, she lived in Jeff Davis County most of her life and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Mariann Jackson Villasana and Ronnie Jackson, both of Hazlehurst, and Bobby Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister and brother, Margaret Kemp of Columbus and Doug Bridges of Lumber City; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Solon Wade Layton will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Layton died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. He worked at The Medical Center of Central Georgia for 24 years. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Services for Lt. Glenwood McMullen will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the City Auditorium with burial in Macon Memorial Park. McMullen, 37, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999. He worked at the Macon Police Department for 17 years and received several community-service awards. He was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church.

Born in Abbeville, Ala., he was the son of the late Edward and Minnie Mae Woods Vaughn. A Marine Corps veteran, he owned and operated a service station and lived in Augusta before moving to Baldwin County. He was retired from Bacon Chevrolet Co. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The widower of Nancy Odell Cross, he was retired from the Air Force, having served during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a 32nd degree Mason with a 50-year service pin, was a member of American Legion Post 172 and the Forty at Eight Voiture 1145. He also volunteered as a "Red Tie" for Houston Medical Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church and attended the Advanced Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his children, Christopher Cross of Warner Robins, Cawood Cross of Lexington, John Cross of Bonaire, Sheila Gibbs of Kathleen and Angela Colson of Charleston, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

PERRY --- Memorial services for Billy Wayne Davee will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Davee, 67, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999. An Air Force veteran, he was the founder of Davee's Hardwood Lumber Co. He was an electrical engineer, retired from Hughes Aircraft.

Ellis, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. She was head nurse at Oconee Memorial Hospital and was an industrial nurse for Jantzen. She was retired from the office of Dr. C. Calvin Upshaw. She was a board member of the Allatoona Lake Association and was past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club.

Rev. Cecil Moore

Services for the Rev. Cecil F. Moore will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Moore, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999. An Air Force veteran, he was the founder and pastor of the Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church and had served other churches in Middle Georgia. He also was the host of a radio talk show called "Moore on America." He was a 1976 presidential candidate and was listed in Who's Who of America. A Mason for more than 50 years, he was a member of Rutland Lodge No. 298 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Moore; brothers and sisters, Gerald Moore of Leewood, Kan., Ray Moore of Bethany, Okla., Jesse Moore of Salina, Ohio, Ruth Gardner of Goshen, Ind., and Pauline Alexander of Covington, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

He was a member of Gardners Church of God in Christ, served on the deacon board and was Sunday School superintendent for more than 30 years.
