Survivors include her son Jeff Adams of Bainbridge; and a granddaughter Christy Barnett of Bainbridge.

CORDELE - Services for Chelsea Rhean Adams will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with burial in Odom-Storey Cemetery, Worth County. Chelsea, 2, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. Born in Crisp County, she was the granddaughter of the late Roger D. Odom.

Survivors include her father Ken Beckom of Cordele; mother Ellen Adams of Cordele; brother Cameron Adams of Cordele; grandparents Jimmy and Judy Shiver of Warwick, and Charles and Frances Adams of Cordele; and great-grandparents James and Ruth Hayslip of Cordele.

Frances Barringer
Services for Frances McAllister Barringer will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hart's Mortuary with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Barringer died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at her residence. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and Gray Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, John J. Barringer Jr.; children John Barringer III of Athens, Douglas Barringer, Constance TeSelle and Nancy Barringer, all of Macon, Robert Barringer of Kathleen; sisters and brother Virginia Adams and Ruth Leverett, both of Eatonton, Jane Teal of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Richard McAllister of Milledgeville; several grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

N.E. Barwick
ROCHELLE - Services for N.E. "Shorty" Barwick will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Cannonville Baptist Church with burial in Morningside Cemetery. Barwick, 72, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. He was retired from Doster's Warehouse after 30 years. He was a carrier for The Macon Telegraph for more than 20 years. He was the widower of Inez Barwick.

Survivors include his children Wendell Barwick of Rochelle and Nettie Middlebrooks of Abbeville; brother and sister James Barwick and Charlene Bruce, both of Rochelle; four grandchildren.

Paul Beacham
DUBLIN - Services for Paul Alexander Beacham will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Pine Forest United Methodist Church with burial in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Beacham, 72, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. He was a Marine Corps veteran and was retired from J.P. Stevens. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mattilou Beacham; children Paula Catalani of Halifax, Va., and Cathy Greenwood of Mechanicsville, Va.; stepson Carlton Moore of Douglasville; and brothers and sisters Duke Beacham, Hazel Drew, both of Dublin, Oscar Beacham Jr. and Mary Wynn, both of Rockledge, and Nell Whitaker of Macon.

CORDELE - Services for Al Beckom will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with burial in Dorough Cemetery, Midway. Al, 13, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. Born in Coweta County, he played football with the Cordele-Crisp Recreation Department and baseball with the Cordele Little League. He attended Crisp County Middle School.

Survivors include his father Ken Beckom of Cordele; mother Donna Beckom of Ashburn; and grandparents Leroy and Mollie Morris of Cordele, Mary ann Byce of Fitzgerald and Pat Chitwood of Senoia.

Born in Coweta County, she was a student at Crisp County High School and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Ashburn.

Survivors include her father Ken Beckom of Cordele; mother Donna Beckom of Ashburn; and grandparents Leroy and Mollie Morris of Cordele, Mary Ann Byce of Fitzgerald and Pat Chitwood of Senoia.

Ben Braswell Sr.
CORDELE - Services for Ben T. Braswell Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery. Braswell, 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. A retired farmer, he was a member and deacon emeritus of Morningside Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for more than 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Willodene S. Braswell; children B.T. Braswell Jr., Betty Forehand and Geraldine Hogan, all of Cordele, Fleta Harden of Albany and Faye Eason of Perry, Fla.; sister Reba Waldrip of Cordele; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

William Chavis Sr.
SWAINSBORO - Services for William Bill Chavis Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hendley, Rountree and Powell Funeral Home. Chavis, 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the city of Swainsboro. He was of the Mormon faith.

Survivors include his children Bonnie Chavis, Jimmy Chavis, John Chavis, Jerry Chavis, William Chavis Jr. and Mike Chavis, all of Swainsboro; brother Junior Chavis of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.

ABBEVILLE - Services for Lucille G. Conner will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Conner, 80, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, where she was a trustee and benefactor. She was a homemaker and former poll officer in the Ryals Mill precinct. She was the widow of Wilbur Conner.

Survivors include her daughter Beverly Crawley of Lillian, Ala.; brothers Matthew Smith of Hawkinsville and Kirby Smith of Cochran; and two grandchildren.

John Harrell
JEFFERSONVILLE - Services for John Alexander Harrell, infant son of Steven and Sarah Harrell, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hardy-Durham Cemetery, Twiggs County. John died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in a Macon hospital.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his sisters Marian Harrell and Sarah Harrell, both of Jeffersonville; grandparents John Gordon and Annette Faulk of Jeffersonville, Waymon and Bonnie Harrell of Macon; and great-grandparents Estelle Moore of Danville and William A. Stevens of Macon.

Eva Holland
PERRY - Services for Eva Holland will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Watson-Hunt Funeral Home with burial in Byron City Cemetery. Holland, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. She had lived in Camilla for 10 years and was a former resident of Hawkinsville for 12 years before moving to Perry. She graduated from GSCW and received her master's degree from the University of Georgia. She was a retired schoolteacher having taught in Houston County for 40 years. The widow of Frank M. Holland Sr., she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, DAR and UDC.

Survivors include her children Martha Cox of Camilla, Frank M. Holland Jr. of Naples, Fla., and Marilyn Harris of Cromwell, Conn.; sister Juanita Briscoe of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

C. Ronald Hooten
Memorial services for C. Ronald Hooten will be at 2 p.m. Saturday Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Log Cabin Drive. Burial will be private. Hooten, 58, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in a local hospital. An Army veteran, he was a carpenter and a Jehovah's Witness.

Survivors include his children Teresa Hooten and John Hooten, both of Austin, Texas; brothers David Hooten of Albany and Raymond Hooten of Maggie Valley, N.C.; and several grandchildren. 

Ritha Johnson
PORTAL - Services for Ritha Brinson Johnson will be at 2 p.m. Friday in El Bethel Baptist Church, near Twin City, with burial in the church cemetery. Johnson, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. She was the widow of Paul Johnson. She was a homemaker and member of El Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Janice Johnson and Joyce Alderman, both of Garfield, Nick Johnson of Millen and John Paul Johnson of Portal; sisters Luree Fields of Portal and Ruby Lanier of Metter; 13 grandchildren 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Julius Liggett
BYRON - Services for Julius A. Liggett will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Andersonville National Cemetery. Liggett, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. An Army veteran, he was a retired safety engineer from Robins Air Force Base. He was a volunteer at Hospice of Houston County.

Survivors include his children David Liggett of Byron and Julie Phelps of Crestwell, N.C.; sisters Andrina Herrera of San Jose, Calif., and Dorothy Rhea of Springdale, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Grace McDaniel
Services for Grace McDaniel will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Reynolds. McDaniel died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. She was a teacher at Crowell Community Elementary School. Shew as a member of Crowell United Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service, Vineville Baptist Church and had a Sunday School class named for her. She was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy and Reynolds Woman's Club. She was the widow of Paul E. McDaniel

Survivors include her children Helene Wallace of Macon and Mrs. Haviland Dunaphant of Atlanta; grandchildren Norris Wallace III, David Dunaphant Jr., Eleanor Davis and Cindy Dunaphant; and four great-grandchildren.

JONESBORO - Services for Cannis E. "Mack" McLain will be at 2 p.m. today in Marietta Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Lyons City Cemetery. McLain, 69, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000. 

Survivors include his wife, Addie McLain; children Kenneth McLain Sr. of Peachtree City, Carlton McLain and Charles Bostick, both of Jonesboro, James Bostick of Gastonia, N.C., Robert Bostick of Henderson, N.C., and Patricia Bostick of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Dorothy Cobb of Louisville, Ga., and Lois Phillips of Soperton; and four grandchildren.

Services for Suella Colter O'Quinn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in West Highland Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. O'Quinn, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. She was a salesperson at Stanley Home Products. The widow of Alvin O'Quinn Sr., she was a member of West Highland Baptist Church, Women on Mission, Joymakers Senior Adults and Esther Sunday School Class. She was a member of Grand Chapter of Georgia Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children Alvin O'Quinn Jr. of Lexington, Ky., Wynelle Ryle of Macon, Dr. James O'Quinn of Augusta and Carol Long of Conyers; sister and brothers Annie Wilkinson of Orlando, Fla., Willie Colter of Lilburn, D.J. Colter of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Ray Colter of Rural Hall, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Owens; children Billy Dickerson, James Owens, Brenda Olds, Sherry Farley and Aubrey Owens, all of Cordele, Bob Owens of Kennesaw; sister Odessa Dalrymple of Seville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a former store clerk at Darlings 5&10 and former seamstress for Royal Manufacturing. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandersville, WMU, Joy Club and past president of Senior Adults Sunday School Class. She was the widow of J.C. Porter.

Survivors include her children Betty Dalton of Sandersville, Nell Jordan of Red Oak, Texas; brother George Bussell of Tennille; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

THOMASTON - Services for Jacqueline Tate "Jackie" Reeves will be at 11 a.m. today in Coggins Funeral Home with burial in Upson Memorial Gardens. Reeves, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. She had lived most of her life in Upson County and worked at William Carter Co.

Survivors include her husband, Lincoln Reeves; daughter Phyllis Mullis of Thomaston; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

John Rider
LYONS - Services for John M. Rider will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service, Vidalia, with burial in Sharpe Cemetery. Rider, 59, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001. He was a maintenance foreman, retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of American Legion and Georgia Power Ambassador Club.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Rider; children Marilyn Darden, Wanda Batay and Roger Dismuke, all of Lyons, Johnny Dismuke of Kibbee and Brenda Brantley of Uvalda; brothers Dale Yarbrough of Sumter, S.C., David Yarbrough, Roy Yarbrough and Raymond Yarbrough, all of Folkston; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

FITZGERALD - Services for W. Grady Rowe will be at 11 a.m. today in Evergreen Cemetery. Rowe, 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. He was born in Irwin County, son of the late Warren and Ada Mae Rowe.

Survivors include his wife, Janell W. Rowe; children F. Warren Rowe of Adairsville, J. Denise Handley of Fitzgerald and Donna Hardin of Tifton; sister and brothers Till O'Leary of Pensacola, Fla., James Rowe and Joe Rowe, both of Fitzgerald; and five grandchildren.

WARNER ROBINS - Memorial services for Mildred W. Seeley will be held later in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Merritt Island, Fla. Burial will be in St. Luke's Family Cemetery. Seeley, 97, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. She was a homemaker and member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was a charter member of Cocoa Women's Club, founder of Cocoa Junior Women's Club, member of Cocoa Women's League, Cocoa Rockledge Women's Club and River Livers Club. She was the widow of Judson LaRoche Sr. and William Seeley.

Survivors include her son Judson W. LaRoche of Warner Robins; sister Hortence Mueller of Merritt Island; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Myrtle Sheffield
CORDELE - Services for Myrtle Felisia Sheffield will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Zion Hope Cemetery. Sheffield, 95, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. 

Survivors include her children Roy T. Sheffield of Anderson, Ala., and Vernette Lewis of Cordele; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

David Spalinger
MONTEZUMA - Services for David William Spalinger will be at 11 a.m. today in Cedar Valley Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Spalinger, 65, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was an ordained Baptist minister, who pastored Lilly Baptist Church. He also held a ninth degree black belt in taekwondo.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne H. Spalinger; children David G. Spalinger of Albany and Ann M. Spalinger of Duluth; sister Linda Sargent of Kodiak Island, Alaska; and two grandchildren.

Services for Isabelle "Belle" Wilder will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Progressive Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Wilder, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000. She was a retired counselor with the Foster Grandparent Program for the state of Georgia. She was a member of the International Pathway Ministries and mother board.

Survivors include her husband, Oliver Wilder; children Lewis Noble Jr., Diane Noble and Beverly Hicks, all of Macon, Janice Hicks of East Point and Ronald Wilder of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The widow of Warren Willis, she taught school in Crawford County for 35 years. She was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church and UMW.

Survivors include her niece Diana Vinson of Warner robins; and great-niece and great-nephew Fran Lamendola of Macon and Will Vinson of Warner Robins.
