Services for Eben Eugene Allen Jr. will be private. Allen, 77, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001. He had lived in Macon the past 20 years and was a self-employed tile setter. He had served in the Navy during World War II.

FITZGERALD - Services for Wayne Allison will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Allison, 58, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001. He was retired area manager at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Douglas. He was a former police officer with the Fitzgerald Police Department, Georgia State Patrol officer and former employee at Trendsetter Homes. He was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and was a gospel singer.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Allison; children Glenn Allison of Milan, Richard Allen Allison of Ocilla, Daniel Alewine of Ambrose, Jerry Alewine of Fitzgerald, Tammy Allison of Abbeville and Lynn Allison of Waynesboro; brothers and sister Donald Allison of Warner Robins, Jerry Allison of Los Angeles, John Allison of Minneapolis and Phyllis Mallard of Orlando, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

MCINTYRE - Services for Casey Shane Bateman will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Irwinton United Methodist Church with burial in Snow Hill Cemetery. Bateman, 18, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001. A lifelong resident of Wilkinson County, he attended Wilkinson County High School and was employed at Ivey Lawn Service in Macon. He was a member of Ivey Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Deby and Ray NeSmith of McIntyre; father and stepmother, Joe and Teresa Bateman of Jeffersonville; brother Nathan Bateman of Jeffersonville; and grandmother Ramona Bateman of Gordon.

Thomas Colbert Jr.
ATHENS - Services for Thomas E. Colbert Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Heights Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Colbert, 81, died Monday, May 28, 2001. He was superintendent of Georgia Natural Gas in Thomaston and Athens. A Navy veteran of 21 years, he served during World War II and the Korean War. He was a mason and member of Al Sihah Shrine Temple in Macon, Athens Kiwanis Club, Retired Officers Association, Moser Bible Sunday School Class and Forest Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hall Colbert; daughter Virginia Monroe of Apopka, Fla.; grandchildren Heather Lynne Roe and Molly Sandheinrich; and a great-grandchild.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Kate Frederick Crawford, she was a member of St. James CME Church and was retired from Southern Frozen Foods.

A retired mechanic, he was an Army veteran of World War II and was a former POW. He was a member of Middle Georgia Chapter of Ex-POWs and DAV. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Golden Grace Singers and Adult Sunday School Class.

PERRY - Services for Martin S. Gordon will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Perry Memorial Gardens. Gordon, 80, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001. Born in New York, he was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a Christian Scientist and member of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Pansy Gordon; children Richard Gordon of Las Vegas, Andrew Gordon of Phoenix, Kevin Gordon and Mindee G. Adamson, both of Decatur; brother and sister Alex Gordon of New York and Jean Eisenstein of Harrison, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was retired from Kraft Bag Corp. Daughter of the late John and Luzelle Giddens Woodard, she was a member of Eastman First United Methodist Church and the Alathean Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur H. Grimsley; children Gwen G. Drury of St. Marys, John A. Grimsley of Springfield, Va., and David H. Grimsley of St. Marys; sisters and brothers Lorene Hale of Savannah, James O. ADRIAN - Services for Lonnie P. Hutcheson will be at 11 a.m. today in Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church, near Norristown, with burial in the church cemetery. Hutcheson, 91, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001. A retired farmer, he was a Primitive Baptist and widower of Sarah Fields Hutcheson.

Survivors include his children Lynward Hutcheson of Adrian and Elliott Hutcheson of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mae Bell Jackson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Harvest Church with burial in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Byron. Jackson died Monday, May 28, 2001. Daughter of the late John and Georgia Jackson, she had been educated in Houston County schools.

Survivors include her daughter Bertha Pearson-Moon of Atlanta; sisters and brothers Isabell Jackson, Evelyn Harvey and Aaron Jackson, all of Macon, Lawyer Jackson of Centerville and Annie Washington of Warner Robins; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ulysees Jones; son Tommy Jones of Jeffersonville; brother and sisters Melvin Fitzpatrick, Ida Frances Cornelious and Lillian Robinson, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

VIDALIA - Services for Dewey Jackson Lamb Jr. will be at 3 p.m. today in First Church of the Nazarene with burial in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Lamb, 73, died Wednesday, May 29, 2001. He worked for 33 years at Shuman Sav-Way as an assistant manager and worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sabra Humprey Lamb; daughter Deborah Martinez of Vidalia; brother James E. Lamb of Albany; and grandchildren Colby Lamb, Katie Lamb and Kike Martinez Jr.

Ryals Sr. and Lula Ryals, he was a World War II veteran and former clerk of the city of Hazlehurst. He was a bookkeeper at Dan's Farm Supply. He was a member of Charlotte Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ryals; children Millie Yaun, Mary A. Thompson and Kaye Daniel, all of Hazlehurst, Patty Beasley of Soperton and Maxie Tyer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
