PALM CITY - Henrietta ''Hank'' Aylsworth, 79, of Palm City died Wednesday,
Oct. 20, 1999, at her residence.
A native of Detroit, she lived in Palm City for 24 years. She moved
here from Detroit.
She was active with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in Strongsville,
Ohio.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Alysworth of Palm
City; two sons, Robert Aylsworth of Jacksonville and Craig Aylsworth of
Canton, Mich.; three daughters, Kerry Levinston of Brisbane, Australia,
Kathy Brantigan of Denver and Wendy Alden of Pasadena, Calif.; 13 grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.

PORT ST. LUCIE - Alicia Michele Garrett, infant daughter of Michele
Lynn Hubbard and Edward Garrett of Port St. Lucie, died Friday, Oct. 15,
1999 in Tamarac.

Lucie; grandmother, LeeAnn Schroeder of Port St. Lucie; and great-grandparents,

PORT ST. LUCIE - Margaret L. Malone, 91, of Port St. Lucie died Wednesday,
Oct. 20, 1999, at a local nursing home.
A native of Abington, Va., she formerly lived in Vero Beach and Johnson
City, Tenn.
Before retirement, she was a school teacher for 35 years teaching second-
and third-grade students.
She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elizabethton, Tenn.,
where she was active in the Women's Circle.
Survivors include a son, James E. Malone of Fort Pierce.

PORT ST. LUCIE - Doris O'Brien, 68, of Port St. Lucie died Wednesday,
Oct. 20, 1999 in Port St. Lucie Medical Center.
A native of Queens, N.Y., she lived in Port St. Lucie for 11 years.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Martin O'Brien Sr. of Port

15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

STUART - Esther Perkins, 89, of Stuart died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999,
at Martin Nursing & Restorative Care.
A native of Boston, she lived in Stuart for 26 years. She moved here
from Hingham, Mass.
She graduated summa cum laude from Radcliff College with a bachelor's
degree in chemistry.
She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, John L. Perkins of Stuart; two sons,
Andrew Perkins and wife Debra of Washington, D.C., and John Perkins of
Palm Beach Gardens; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at All Saints

A native of Philadelphia, she was a resident of Florida since 1963.
She moved here from New Jersey.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Hobe Sound and Randy of Jupiter;
a sister, Helen Stevens of Ohio; and a grandchild.

STUART - George H. Adams, 59, of Stuart died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000,

A native of Newark, N.J., he lived in Stuart for 20 years. He moved
here from Fort Lauderdale.
He worked for Florida Power and Light Co. for more than 25 years in
Juno Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Riviera Beach and Martin County as a data
analyst.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a sister, Dale Weaver and husband Bud of Sebring,
Fla.; and a brother, Jay Arcularius of Hallendale.

PORT ST. LUCIE - Gregory Cortez Jr., 86, of Port St. Lucie died Monday,
Feb. 21, 2000, in Hospice of the Treasure Coast Residence, Fort Pierce.
A native of Aquadilla, Puerto Rico, he lived in Port St. Lucie for
13 years. He moved here from New York.
Before retirement, he was self-employed in the ladies apparel retail
business.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie.
He was a member of the Veterans of World War II, Disabled American
Veterans, American Legion Post 813 and the Spanish American Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Diana Cortez of Port St. Lucie; three
sons, George and Gregory III of New York and David Cortez of Port St. Lucie;
two daughters, Diana Immordino of Port St. Lucie and Rose Iris Ferraro
of New York; three sisters, Carmen Rodriguez of Washington, D.C., Helen

here from New Boston, Mich. She was predeceased by two daughters, Lana
Atchley and Rhonda Rae Frazier.
Survivors include five daughters, Gwen Frazier of Port St. Lucie, Janet
Tanner of Stuart, Lawana Benore of Monroe, Mich., Brenda Moffatt of Newport,
Mich., and Verna Frederick of St. Augustine; a son, Keith Frazier of Stuart;
12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

STUART - Mary G. Galligan, 84, of Stuart died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Galligan.
Survivors include a son, Frank Galligan and wife Elizabeth of Hobe

Axel Jacobsen
STUART - Axel Jacobsen, 98, of Stuart died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at
his home.
A native of Arendal, Norway, he moved to Stuart in 1975.
Before retirement, he was a seafarer. In 1915, he went to sea on ships
of the Norwegian Merchant Marine. In 1921, he immigrated to the United
States and worked in the shipyards of Baltimore and Philadelphia. He also
worked as a commercial fisherman in Barnegat Light, N.J. In 1929, he and
four other fishermen founded the Independent Fish Co. and later the Barnegat
Light Yacht Basin. He owner and operated several commercial vessels.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Barnegat Light, and Redeemer
Lutheran Church, Stuart.
He was a member of the Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Department. His
hobbies included fishing and boating.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Jacobsen.
At his request, his ashes will be spread over the Gulf Stream off Stuart.

Herbert J. Leuffgen
JENSEN BEACH - Herbert J. Leuffgen, 84, of Jensen Beach died Saturday,
Feb. 19, 2000, in Emerald Health Care, Port St. Lucie.
A native of Chicago, he lived in Jensen Beach since 1976. He moved
here from East Point, Mich.
Before retirement, he was self-employed as an automobile technician
for 30 years in East Point.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Leuffgen of Jensen Beach; three
sons, Keith Leuffgen and wife Nancy of Palm City, John Leuffgen and wife
Carol, Dennis Leuffgen and wife Cindy, all of the Detroit area; two daughters,
Judy Nutt and husband Dale of Kissimmee and Jacqueline Root and husband
Robert of Orlando; a sister, Esther Dell of Roseville, Mich.; 16 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.

PORT ST. LUCIE - Howard Daniel Marion, 80, of Port St. Lucie died Sunday,
Feb. 20, 2000, at his home.
A native of northern New Jersey, he lived in Port St. Lucie for 15
years. He moved here from Upper Montclair, N.J. He and his wife spent winters
in Port St. Lucie and summers in Brewster, Mass.
Before retirement, he practiced dentistry in Upper Montclair, N.J.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He received his DDS from St. Louis University
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Merle Ann Marion of Port St.
Lucie and Brewster; three sons, Robert Marion and wife Pat of Conestoga,
Pa., William Marion and wife Nancy of Garwood, N.J., and Peter Marion and
wife Nancy Ann of Marietta, Pa.; a daughter, Paula Golembe and husband
Greg of Reston, Va.; a brother, James Marion of Daytona Beach; a sister,

She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Moore, in 1999.

Before retirement, he was a chemist with Dayton Rubber for 25 years.

here from Westhampton Beach. Before retirement, she was a registered nurse
and homemaker.
During World War II, she worked as a phlebotomist with the Red Cross.

Conception Church, Westhampton Beach.
She was a member of the Stuart Yacht and Country Club and the Westhampton
Country Club.
She graduated from St. Catherine School of Nursing, New York City.
Her hobbies included golf and bridge.
