Born in Leonia, N.J., he moved to this area nine years ago from Washington Township, N.J. He was retired from the Ford Motor Co. after 30 years of service; a U.S. Navy Reserve veteran; a member of the Elks Lodge, Spring Hill; and the Timber Pines Golf Club.

Margaret E. Thompson, 95, of Spring Lake, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at Osprey Point Nursing Home, Bushnell.
She was born in Ft. Pierce, Fla., and moved to this area 66 years ago from Ft. Pierce. She was a citrus farmer, owning a grove in the Spring Lake area, and raised cats, dogs, chickens and cows.

He was born in Sweden and moved to this area 21 years ago from Morocco, Ind. He was a retired brick mason, a member of Men's Fellowship Club of First United Methodist Church, and attended First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill.

Peter H. Franceschina, 78, of Rainbow Woods, Spring Hill, died Thursday, Sept. 20, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was a native of Cavasso Nuovo, Italy, and moved to this area 13 years ago from Maspeth, N.Y. He was a retired union carpenter, whose projects included construction of the World Trade Center, New York City, N.Y. He was a World War II U.S. Army and Asia-Pacific Campaign veteran and a member of the New York State Club.
