George Samarjia, 78, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, October 24, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital. 
He was born in Duquesne, Pa., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Utica, Mich.
Survivors include a son, Darryl of Spring Hill; a brother, Steve Samarjia of Orlando; three sisters, Mildred Vusick of Beverly Hills, Delores Wright and Betty, both of Michigan.

Thomas J. Hanes, 69, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Monday, October 23, at his home. 
He was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Denver, Colo. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a lifetime member of the VFW in Mt. Morris, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of Spring Hill; a son, Michael of Eolia, Mo.; a daughter, Patricia A. Henson of Navarre; two brothers, Robert of Mesa, Ariz., and Denny of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Corbett of Mt. Morris, and Dorie Holmann of Avondale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Krisi Paisley, Elizabeth and Emily Hanes, and T. J. Henson.

Susan M. Mayer, 98, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, October 24. 
She was born in Nagy Kikinda, Hungary, and moved to this area 14 years ago from Philadelphia, Pa. She was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Cordero of Spring Hill, and Elizabeth Rorke of St. Petersburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ulysse Blair, 73, of Brooksville, died Monday, October 23, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.

Stanley F. Monokoski, 90, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, October 24, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in DuBois, Pa., and moved to this area 29 years ago from Chicago, Ill. He was the owner/operator of a nightclub. He was a member of the Suncoast Concerting Club, Spring Hill Lions Club, Polish American Club of Holiday, Illinois Retail Liquor Dealers Association and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helene; a son, Gibby of Chicago; four daughters, Linda Ruberto of Clearwater, Carole Drust and Beverly Lezaj, both of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Julius 'Caesar' of Spring Hill; a sister, Louise Rutkowski of DuBois; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Terry L. Francois, 50, of Brooksville, died Monday, October 23 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. 
He was born in Flint, Mich., and moved to this area 15 years ago. He was a warehouse and delivery person for Consolidated Electric, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Roni D. of Brooksville; a son, Josh d. of Orlando; a daughter, Heather F. of Brooksville; his mother, Mary Bush of Grand Blanc, Mich.; two brothers, Arthur of Flint, Mich., and Frank of Fenton, Mich.; a sister, Kathy LeClair of Flint; one granddaughter; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Marie Vrba, 94, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, October 26.
She was born in Czechoslovakia and moved here eight years ago from Holiday. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Blanche Uhlir of Spring Hill and Eileen Flaks of Hinsdale, Ill.; a sister, Adeline Chybych of Santa Monica, Calif., three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Edgar Allen Chase 
Edgar Allen Chase, 80, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, October 24, at Evergreen Woods.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to this area 18 years ago from Zion, Ill. He was an electrician and a World War II U.S. Navy Submarine Service veteran. He was a past president and life member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II, Brooksville; High Ridge Square Club, Illinois; Masonic Lodge 78 of Waukegan, Ill.; Thirty-second Degree Shrine, Scottish Rite, Chicago, Ill.; and a volunteer fireman and special police force member in Zion.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; a son, Wayne of Highland Park, Ill.; a sister, Effie Goodnight, Walton Hills, Ohio; and two granddaughters.

John 'Jack' Thomas Wiley, Sr., 70, of Spring Hill, died Friday, October 27, at Community Hospital, New Port Richey.
He was born in Queens, N.Y., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Farmingdale, N.Y. He was a retired police officer, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Retired Police Association, Nassau Blue of Spring Hill, the Superior Police Association and International Police Association.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; a son, John Jr. of Spring Hill; a daughter, Kathleen Dodge of Palmer, Alaska; and three grandsons.

Tracy A. George, 32, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, October 25, at Oak Hill Hospital. 
He was born in Naples, and moved to this area 21 years ago from Las Vegas, Nev. He was a drywall hanger in the construction industry and a member of Christian Fellowship Church of Brooksville.
Survivors include two sons, Joshua and Tyler Andrew, both of Brooksville; three daughters, Cierra of Vero Beach, and twins Amanda and Adrian of Brooksville; mother, Candace Archbell of Brooksville; a brother, Robert Archbell, Jr. of Brooksville.

Richard 'Dick' C. Northrup, 70, of Brooksville, died Thursday, October 26, in St. Johns Hospital. 
He was born in Otto, N.Y., and moved to this area 12 years ago from Derby, N.Y.
Survivors include two sons, Richard A. of Waterloo, N.Y., and Russell J. of Fort Riley, Ks.; two daughters, Nikki M. Henry of Hinsdale, N.Y., and Sheryl L. Matuszewski of Brooksville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Anna Louise Sanders, 77, of Brooksville, died Saturday, Oct. 28, at Oak Hill Hospital.
Born in Baltimore, Md., she moved to this area 21 years ago. She was a retired registered nurse in Baltimore; a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses, the Maryland Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association; past president of Potterfield Improvement Association; and a member of the Brooksville Assembly of God church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Louise Cuneo and Anne Marie Watner, both of Baltimore, Md.; a stepdaughter, Gail Jager of Baltimore, Md.; and four grandchildren.

She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va. She was in childcare at a day care center.

Joseph Eli Duvanich, 70, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Oct. 28, at Hospice House, Brooksville.
He was born in Glassport, Pa., and moved to this area seven years ago from Indialantic. He was a retired NASA engineer and a Catholic by faith.

He was born in Harrison County, Ky. and moved to this area three years ago from Holiday. He was a construction foreman for 15 years, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV, all of Ohio.
