He was born in Round Pond, Ark., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Clearwater. He was a cabinetmaker in the furniture industry, a lifetime member of the VFW and a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant.
Survivors include four sons, Mark A. of Blue Point, N.Y., James E. of California, Paul E. of Madeira Beach and John A. of St. Petersburg; two daughters, Laura Casale of Pinellas Park and Victoria J. Dorothy Elizabeth Frank, 81, of Cloverleaf Farms, Brooksville, died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Watertown, Wis., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Brown Deer, Wis. She was in insurance and real estate sales, Milwaukee, Wis., a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Brooksville, a volunteer at church, Brooksville Regional Hospital and the Sheriff's Department, and a group travel agent for the Cloverleaf Travel Club, where she directed travel outings. 
Survivors include two sons, David of West Bend, Wis., and Michael of Slinger, Wis.; two daughters, Kathleen Frank Dwyer of Plano, Texas, and Patty Lynn Frank Marks of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, William Bertha of Milwaukee; a sister, Betty Bertha Nicoud of Milwaukee; and 11 grandchildren.

He was born in New York City, N.Y., and moved to this area three years ago from Uniondale, Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired motor man for the New York City Transit Authority, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Spring Hill Bible Church.

She was a native of Franklin, Texas, and moved to this area 23 years ago from Villa Park, Ill. She was a retired statistician for Sears department stores, a member of the Brookridge Golf Association, Brookridge Garden Club and the Brookridge Woman's Club, and was Woman of the Year in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, John L. Sr.; two sons, John Jr. and Jerome H., both of West Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was born in Dublin, Ga., and moved to Sarasota 69 years ago. He retired from Florida Power & Light, where he was a supervisor of power line personnel. He lived in Bradenton before moving to Brooksville 10 years ago. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Eden Baptist Church, Brooksville.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda G. Morgan of Brooksville; three sons, Herman E. of Brooksville, Oda B. of Lake Wales and John T. of Holmes Beach; three sisters, Hilda L. Perez and A. She was born in North Union, Pa., and moved to this area 34 years ago from Uniontown, Pa. She retired from Brooksville Regional Hospital as an assistant in the surgery department. She was also a pink lady at the hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brooksville, Brooksville Garden Club, Brooksville Women's Club, and American Business Women's Association.
Survivors include three sons, Eugene of Farmington, Pa., Theodore of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Kenneth of Thonotosassa; a daughter, Kathy Patterson of Brooksville; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was in human resources with Bergen County, treasurer of Timber Pines Tennis Club, a member of the American Legion and Grace Presbyterian Church, a Mason, and Elder and Deacon of the Presbyterian Church of Teaneck, N.J.

He was a professional engineer for Superior Engineering, Indiana and a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel; and was a member of VFW Post #9236, Hernando Beach, the Kosmos-Paramount Masonic Lodge #896, Evergreen Park, Chicago and the Presbyterian Church of Chicago Ridge.

He was a retired aircraft quality engineer for Pratt and Whitney Co. of East Hartford and Middletown, Conn. for 27 years; on the planning and zoning commission and the library board in Hebron, Conn.; a Boy Scout leader in Lebanon, Conn. and a scout Merit Badge counselor in Brooksville; a member of the Lions Club, Lebanon, Conn.; past president of the Brooksville Lions Club and the Hernando County Audobon Society; a member of the North American Family Campers Association; and a writer/illustrator of the Otter River State Park Trail Guide, Massachusetts. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hebron, Conn. and the First United Methodist Church of Brooksville.

He is survived by his wife, Emily C.; three daughters, Kathleen Catana of Creamridge, N.J., Carol Taylor of Largo and Michele Dempster of Safety Harbor; a half-brother, Samuel David Fine of Mt. Holly, N.J.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

John V. Serafin, 85, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Jan. 28, at his home.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn. he moved to this area 14 years ago from Claremont, N.H. He was a retired welder for AVCO Lycoming, Stratford, Conn.; a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bridgeport, Conn.; and a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of Spring Hill; two daughters, Patricia Mestuzzi of Prospect, Conn. and Barbara of Waterbury, Conn.; and three grandchildren.
