John L. Rico, 51, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 6, at the VA Medical Center of Nashville, Tenn. Born in Bangor, Maine, he was an air conditioning technician, a United States Marine veteran and a Catholic by faith.
He is survived by his wife Marlene; two daughters, Kim Foli of Gainesville and Stacie Walzer of Tampa; his parents, John and Theodora Rico of Scarborough, Maine; three sisters, Marcia Risbara and Marilee Pandiscio, both of Scarborough, Maine and Rosemary Rico of Tampa; and three grandchildren.

Born in Parsons, W. Va., he moved to Tampa 52 years ago. He was a retired delivery man for Spiecola Hardware, Tampa; a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II; and a member of River Hills Church of God, Tampa.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Land O' Lakes; two sons, Joel G. of Tampa and Roger A. of Valrico; three daughters, Bonnie Scott of Owensboro, Ky., Donna Marie and Sandra L., both of Tampa; a brother, Don of Lewisburg, W. He is survived by his wife, Tok Im of Hernando Beach; a son, Michael Aaron of Gateway, Colo.; two daughters, Laura Jean Brownell of Burbank, Calif. and Jean Marie of San Antonio, Texas; and a sister, Lela Marie Cauffman of Hernando Beach.

Born in Chicago, Ill., he moved to this area 20 years ago from there. He was the owner of a gas station for 30 years; a member of the Brookridge Golf Assoc., the Illinois Club, Elks Lodge #2582 and a veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Beverly Lundgren of Oak Lawn, Ill. and Janice Womanck of Wheatfield, Colo.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Anita J. Sanders, 66, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 9 at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here 23 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. She was owner of Sandy's Produce in Hudson and was a Catholic.
Survivors include a husband, Joseph Sanders Sr.; sons, James Sanders of Spring Hill, and Joseph Sanders Jr., of Hudson, Fla.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Cesar Olivero Sr., 61, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 9, at his son's residence.
Olivero was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and moved here one month ago from Clearwater. He was a retired bank printer and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Survivors include three sons, Cesar Jr., and Kenny, both of Spring Hill, and Ricky, of Fajardo, Puerto Rico; one sister, Nellie Lopez, of Fajardo, Puerto Rico; and seven grandchildren.

Anthony P. Sciotto, 71, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Jan. 10 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
Born in Marquette, Mich., he came to this area seven years ago from West Nyack, N.Y. He was a retired general manager for Grand Union Grocery and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW 11. He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, a 4th degree knight belonging to Father Cornelius Doughtery Assembly #1721, Spring Hill, and a charter member of St. Joan of Arc Council 11317. He was also a volunteer for the St. Joan of Arc grounds crew, Knights of Columbus bingo and ethnic festival.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, Roland of Little River, S.C., Edward, of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; three brothers, Frank, of Marquette, Mich, Arthur, of Elko, Nev., and Joseph, of Arnold, Mo.; two sisters, Rosemary Thompson, of Oroville, Calif. and Carrie Brewer of Henderson, Nev.

Margaret Poletunow, 75, of Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 9 at Heartland of Brooksville Nursing Home.
Born in Mill Creek, Fla., Poletunow came to this area from Bradenton, Fla. seven years ago. She was a retired cook and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include a son, Charles of North Ridgeville, Ohio; two daughters, Mattie Poletunow, of Eddyville, Ore., and Margie Jackson, of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Bertie Lee Ward, of Palatka, Fla., and Jimmie Mae Pavkovich, of Bradenton, Fla.

Albert J. Lautenslager, 81, of Cloverleaf Farms, Brooksville, died Sunday, Jan. 9, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Born in Wheeling, W.Va., he moved to this area 20 years ago from Springfield, Penn.
He was a crew chief at Boeing Aircraft for 35 years and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Brooksville and the radio club at Cloverleaf Farms.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred, a son, Alan H. Lautenslager of The Colony, Dallas and two grandchildren.

Raymond William De Forest, 70, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 8, at Heartland of Brooksville.
Born in West Haven, Conn., he moved to this area 15 years ago from Stratford, Conn.
He was a retired salesman, a Mason and Shriner and a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Stratford.
Survivors include his wife, Joy; a son, Raymond De Forest of Spring Hill; two daughters, Laura of Spring Hill and Cheryl of Burnsville, N.C.; a brother, Richard of Devon, Conn.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A retired Teamster's Union mechanic at Kowalsky Express, he was Protestant by faith.

Dana Alan Lenhof, 49, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Jan. 14, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Kenton County, Ky., and moved to this area a year ago from Covington, Ky. He was a general contractor, a Vietnam War U.S. Marines veteran, a member of the Bass Masters Club, Kentucky, and a Catholic by faith.

R. Bruce Hammatt, 84, of South Orleans, Mass. and Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 10.
He was born in New Orleans, La., and moved to South Orleans 56 years ago. He was a winter resident of Brooksville. He was a retired commercial fisherman, having operated quahog draggers out of Rock Harbor, Mass. and Provincetown, Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Sinclair Hammatt; four sons, Francis P. of South Chatham, Mass., Mervyn S. and R. Bruce Jr., both of South Orleans, and Thomas S. of Brooksville; a sister, Elizabeth (Hammatt) Hawes of Blooming Grove, N.Y., a brother, William R. of Chatham, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was born in Perkinsville, N.Y., and moved to this area two years ago from Reston, Va. She was a former resident of Brookridge, Brooksville. She retired as a receptionist after 10 years of service for Marine Midland, Buffalo, N.Y., and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.

Martha H. Bishop, 81, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 13, at Oak Hill Hospital.
Born in Damariscotta, Maine, she moved to this area 22 years ago from Saugus, Mass. She retired as a registered nurse at Lynn Hospital, Lynn, Mass.; sang with the Musicaires, a Brooksville music group; and was an organist and member of the Christian Church in the Wildwood, Weeki Wachee.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; a son, Ralph A. of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Virginia R. He was born in Easton, Mass., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Amityville, N.Y. He retired as the chief engineer for Russell Plastics Division of Talley Industries, Lindenhurst, N.Y. He was a member of the U.S. Power Squadron and First United Methodist Church, Spring Hill.
