He was born in Puerto Rico and moved to this area 12 years ago from Fishkill, N.Y. He was an electrical maintenance maintainer with the New York City transit authority and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include his wife Lila; three sons, Abraham Jr. of Toms River, N.J., Robert of Long Island, N.Y., and Louis of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Sylvia Simmons of Spring Hill; a sister, Tina Milan of New York City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was born in Nova Scotia and moved to this area 27 years ago from Boston, Mass. He was an assistant treasurer with the Winchester Savings Bank, Boston, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a charter member of Brotherhood Masonic Lodge 375, Spring Hill, and a Protestant by faith.

Elmer G. "Joe" Turnbull, 77, of High Point, Brooksville, died Sunday, September 19, at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was a native of Toronto, Canada, and moved to this area 10 years ago from Buffalo, N.Y. He retired from Curtis Screw Machine Company, Buffalo. He was a World War II Canadian Navy veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge of the Ancient Landmarks, Buffalo, and the High Point Golf Club, Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Terry and James, both of Tonawanda, N.Y.; a daughter, Lynda Stover of Pittsfield, Pa.; a sister, Pearl Fox of Weston, Ontario, Canada; a brother, John of Sault Saint Marie, Ontario; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a 1966 graduate of Tarpon Springs High School and received her masters from the University of South Florida. She was a pre-Kindergarten supervisor for the Pasco County Head Start Program, where she was a speaker at seminars throughout the U.S. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hernando Beach, where she was active with the youth group and was a choir member.
