Dawn Marie Pettersen McCann, 39, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, September 8, at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville. 
She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area four years ago from Lanoka Harbor, N.J. She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her mother, Dolores Mrozowski of Spring Hill; her stepfather Joseph Mrozowski of Spring Hill; a son, Kevin Thorien Jr. of Manhawkin, N.J.; a daughter, Tarah Lee McCann of New Port Richey; four brothers, Joseph Hosking of Desmoine, Iowa, Keith Pettersen of Bayville, N.J., Scott Pettersen of Manhawkin, and Erik Pettersen of Avenel, N.J.; three sisters, Doreen Jaccoud of Heightstown, N.J., Kim Martin of Avenel, and Tracey Mrozowski of Port Richey; and a grandchild.

Theresa M. Darienzo, 89, of Hernando Beach, died Wednesday, September 8, at her home. 
She was born in New York City, N.Y. and moved to this area 26 years ago from Center Moriches, N.Y. She was a wiring technician at an electronic company and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include her husband Alfred E.; 2 daughters, Grace Hydeman of Center Moriches and Constance Battersby of Fallbrook, Calif.

Vincent Carl Bove
Vincent Carl Bove, 86, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, September 8, at his home. 
He was born in New York City, N.Y., and moved to this area four years ago from Hollywood. He was a retired wall covering contractor in the construction industry, a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran, a life-time member of the Knights of Colombus, and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Spring Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; a son, Carl V. of Athens, Ga.; a daughter, Rose Giannini of Wildwood, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Erna Maehlman
Erna Maehlman, 92, of Ridge Manor West, died Thursday, September 9, in Brooksville.
She was born in Germany and moved to this area 27 years ago from Bainbridge, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Ilse of Brooksville; and a brother Rudolf Schroder of Germany.

Alfred Beatty Stockin Jr.
Alfred Beatty Stockin Jr., 72, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Sept. 9, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Born in Tampa, he moved to this area 26 years ago. He was a certified dental technician and retired owner of Myers Dental Company in Tampa and Brooksville. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II; a 42-year member of A.W. Windhorst Masonic Lodge #185, Tampa; a former Boy Scouts of America scoutmaster; past president of his local civic association and a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Greer of Brooksville; a son, Dr. Alfred Kenneth of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Kathryn Louise Bailey of Peach Tree City, Ga.; his mother, Cristinia Dodd of Tampa; a brother, Frank Earl of Tampa; and four grandchildren.

Harry D. Ehly Jr.
Harry D. Ehly Jr., 78, of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 11, at Brooksville Regional Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he moved to this area 10 years ago from Warminster, Pa. He was retired from Leeds and Northrup of North Wales, Pa. and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He was a life member of VFW Post #676, Ardsley, Pa. and a member of VFW Post #10167, Holiday. He was also a member of the Military Order of the COOTIES; the American Legion, Brooksville; the Warminster Ambulance Corps, the Warminster Fire Company and Christ Lutheran Church, Brooksville.
He is survived by a son, Harry D. III; two daughters, Sharon Penglase of Spring Hill and Janet Spissak of California; a brother, Walter of Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Bettyann Kulick of Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

George Martin, 62, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, September 12, at his home.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area 10 years ago from North Babylon, N.Y. He was a retired auto mechanic and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Michael of Massapequa, N.Y., and John of Babylon, N.Y.; a daughter, Georgette Matheis of Babylon; three brothers, Marty of Brewster, N.Y., Donald of New Jersey and Paul of New York City, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Elizabeth M. Lambert, 90, of Pinellas Park, formerly of Brooksville, died Saturday, September 11, at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg.
She was born in Westchester County, N.Y., and moved to this area 36 years ago from Levittown, Long Island, N.Y. She had been employed in the electronics field and was an Episcopalian by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce of San Diego, Calif., Joe of Dallas, Texas, and Roy of Pittsfield, Mass.; a daughter, Pat Zopf of Brooksville; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Martha Shaughnessy, 90, of Webster, died Friday, September 10, at Pasco Community Hospital, Dade City.
She was born in Schenectady, N.Y., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Boca Raton. She was a retired secretary for the Governor's Office in New York and a Protestant by faith.

Robert Wayne Schmidt, 39, of Brooksville, died Sunday, September 12, at Morton Plant Hospital.
He was born in Champaign, Ill., and moved to this area five years ago from Tampa. He was a cabinetmaker, a U.S. Navy veteran and a Protestant by faith.

Cleo McCauley-Bender, 82, of Spring Hill, died Monday, September 13, at Evergreen Woods, Spring Hill. 
She was born in Chicago Heights, Ill., and moved to this area 18 years ago from Chicago. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and moved to this area 27 years ago from Malver, Pa. He was a machinist for the Mateer Company, Berwyn, Pa., and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Marilyn Kay Lovett, 53, of Lecanto, died Tuesday, September 14, at her home.
She was born in Bay City, Mich., and moved to this area 35 years ago from Michigan. She was a retired waitress, a member of the Native American Association, and a Protestant by faith.

William Henry Norris, 72, of Clover Leaf Farms, Brooksville, died Tuesday, September 14, at his home.
He moved to this area 15 years ago from his native South Bend, Ind. He was a retired staff sergeant with the U.S. Army and a member of the VFW, Sound Bend.
He is survived by two sisters, Martha Jane Sechowski of Brooksville and Barbara Wells of Mishawaka, Ind.

William Dean Wilkerson, 82, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, September 14, at Heartland of Brooksville.
He was born in Jacksonville and moved to this area four years ago from Hollywood. He was a safety and personnel director for McArthur Diary, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Mahi Masonic Lodge 277, Miami, Scottish Rite Consistory, Mahi Temple Shrine and American Legion Post 208, Hollywood, and a Presbyterian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; two sons, Steven Messana of Spring Hill and Frank Messana of Ft. Myers; a daughter, Valerie Bernat of Spring Hill; and five grandchildren.

He was born in Meigs, Ga., and moved to this area 20 years ago from Miami. He was a retired electrician by trade and was an electrician-generator operator in film making, a member of I.B.E.W. Local, Miami, and a Baptist by faith.

Robert Dean "Bob" Reiter
Robert Dean "Bob" Reiter, 64, of Brooksville, died Friday, Sept. 17, at his home.
Born in Ludell, Kansas, he lived in various countries before moving to this area six years ago from the Dominican Republic. He was Head of Operations in the Dominican Republic and Honduras for the U.S. Shoe Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict; and a member of the Brooksville Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Christy; a son, Robert Risner of Blue Springs, Mo.; a daughter, Maria Luisa of Brooksville; a stepdaughter, Gay Otten of Otterville, Mo.; three sisters, Ollie Dillon of La Monte, Mo., Marie Perriguey of Sedalia, Mo. and Winona Brownfield of Sugar Creek, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren.

Mattie Adams Salter
Mattie Adams Salter, 90, of West Melbourne, died Friday, Sept. 17, at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne.
Born in Augusta, Ga., she moved to central Florida in 1954 from Savannah, Ga. She lived in Spring Hill from 1976 to 1986. She was a retired admitting clerk at Orange Memorial Hospital (now Orlando Regional Medical Center); a member of OES Chapter, Orlando; and a church volunteer. She was also a member of Shady Hill Baptist Bible Church, Spring Hill.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Finn of Verona, N.J. and Frances Arnold of West Melbourne; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
