Freddy M. "Fred" Sloan, 65, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 9, at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired parts manager for General Electric, Olsmar, and a member of the Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge 291 of Madeira Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne; two sons, Jack of Seminole and Jeff of Spring Hill; two sisters, Norleen Bohley of Munster, Ind., and Sue Randall of Reading, Ohio; a brother, Jerry of Reading; and a grandchild.

Fitz R. (Nehi) Brooks
Fitz R. (Nehi) Brooks, 78, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, June 8, at his home.
He was born in Mt. Airy, Va., and moved to this area 19 years ago from Clearwater. He was a retired U.S. Army Medic, serving in World War II in three invasions and nine campaigns.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma (Jerrie); three stepsons, Fred Butcher of Spring Hill, David Butcher of Sacramento, Calif., and Richard Butcher of Williams, Ore.; a sister, Minnie Crider of Chatham, Va.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Lucille D. Heppenheimer, 59, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, June 8, at Oak Hill Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area five years ago from Central Islip, Long Island, N.Y. She retired as a computer technician from Half Hollow Hills Library, Long Island, and was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, George; and a daughter, Kim of Islip, N.Y.

Lonnie L. Furr
Lonnie L. Furr, 75, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, June 9, at Moffitt Cancer Center.
He was born in Albermarle, N.C., and moved to this area 30 years ago from Miami. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a World War II U.S. Marine Corp veteran, and a member of the Brooksville Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Dan of Pawley's Island, S.C., and Richard of Brooksville; three daughters, Linda Howell of Safety Harbor, Denise of Brooksville, and Tammy Watkins of Spring Hill; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mildred D. Speciale, 82, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, June 9.
She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to this area eight years ago from St. Petersburg. She was a retired office clerk for Western New York Water Company.

Donald Lee Hayden, 68, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, June 9, at Hospice House in Pasco.
He was born in Topeka, Ind., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Paulaski, Tenn. He was a retired state police officer for the State of Indiana, a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary of Hernando County, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Barry of Pierceton, Ind., and Terry of Topoka; and two grandchildren.

Irene M. Lopes, 81, of Brooksville, died Saturday, June 12, at Eastbrooke Health Care Center.
Born in Maxton, N.C., she moved to this area 19 years ago from Apollo Beach. She was an accountant for the military and a Presbyterian by faith.
She is survived by three sisters, Blanche Lowing of Richmond, Va., Katie McLean and Lillian Baker of Lumberton, N.C.; a brother, Jasper McLean of Laurinburg, N.C.; and several nieces.

Diane Marie Corkum, 52, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 11, at her home.
Born in Worcester, Mass., she was a longtime resident of this area. She was a horse trainer and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, William; a son, Christopher of Spring Hill; a daughter, Pleshette Chapman of Spring Hill; her mother, Sarah Kratschman of Spring Hill; three brothers, Dennis Kratschman of Cuthbart, Ga., Joseph Kratschman of New Port Richey and Barry Kratschman of Belingham, Mass.; a sister Donna Maloney of Hudson, Mass.; a grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Betty M. Loucks, 72, of Spring Hill, died Monday, June 7, at her home.
Born in Watertown, N.Y., she moved to this area 28 years ago from St. Petersburg. She was a retired bookkeeper for Beall's Department Store and a Catholic by faith.
She is survived by her nieces Bonnie Perrine, Sally Reilly and Sharon Percell.

Henry "Scott" Mayors
Henry "Scott" Mayors, 83, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, June 8, at his home.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he moved to his area eight years ago from East Northport, N.Y. He was a draftsman in Huntington, N.Y.; worked in the engineering hydraulics design department at Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, N.Y.; was a vendor liaison and employment manager for Grumman Data Systems, where he retired in 1984; and played, coached and managed the Grumman soccer team from the 1950s until he retired.
He was currently the chaplain of the Grumman Retirees Club, Mid-West Chapter, Spring Hill.
He is survived by two daughters, Helen (and John) Torkelsen of Camarillo, Calif. and Alyce E. of Seaford N.Y.; a son, Harry (and Mickey) of Riverhead, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Christine, Jennifer, Bonnie and Jackie, Elizabeth, Harry Jr. and Diana; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Born in Chester, Pa.., he moved to this area 28 years ago from Marlton, N.J. He was a retired manufacturing representative in the irrigation business, a life member of the D.A.V. in Brooksville and a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Nina; a daughter, Debra Lange of Rapid City, S.D.; and four grandchildren.

Sumner H. Greenough, 83, of Cloverleaf in Brooksville, died Friday, June 11, at his home.
Born in Pelham, N.H., he moved to this area 20 years ago from Wakefield, Mass. He was a maintenance supervisor for W.R. Grace Co.; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of the Cloverleaf veterans club; and a Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a son, Scott of Lexington, Mass.; a daughter, Carolyn Imura of Honolulu, Hawaii; a brother, Warren of Lewes, Del.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Marjorie B. Callingham, 85, died Sunday, June 13, at her daughter's home in Spring Hill, where she was visiting from Whiting, N.J.
She was a native of the United Kingdom, a homemaker and an Episcopalian by faith.

Charles A. Winters, Jr., 73, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, June 13, at Hernando Pasco Hospice House. He moved to this area 10 years ago from his native Chicago, Ill. He was an engineer, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill.

He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to this area recently from Palm Harbor. He was a retired vice president for a food service equipment company and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Arthur F. "Pete" Davis, 77, of Weeki Wachee, died Thursday, June 17, at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He was born in Amesbury, Mass., and moved to this area eight years ago from Lakeland. He was a retired Major in the U.S. Air Force, a World War II and Korean War veteran, and a member of VFW Post 121, TROA (Retired Officers Association), Bombardier Inc., and BPO Elks Lodge 2582 of Brooksville.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda L.; a son, Peter H. of Leconia, N.H.; three daughters, Pamela Adams of Weston, Va., and Melinda Drew and Traci Drew, both of Weeki Wachee; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Vito Michael Amanzio, 82, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 18, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area nine years ago from East Meadow, N.Y. He retired from Island Helicopter, Garden City, Nassau County, N.Y., and was a World War II Pacific Theatre U.S. Marine Corp veteran.

Ernest H. Panning, 71, of Spring Hill, died Friday, June 18, at his home.
He was born in Wauseon, Ohio, and moved to this area 12 years ago from Toledo, Ohio. He was a home builder, a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict, and a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Brooksville, where he served on the Board of Trustees and as a greeter and usher.
