March 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Maggie; two daughters; and three
sons, all of Naples, Fla. Funeral services will be Monday, March 12, 2001

Adelaide Guenther (Gunner) Gilliland, born November 24, 1913 in Port
Washington, WI, died May 25, 2001 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She
had lived in Alpena, MI since 1939 and was a winter resident of Naples,
FL. She married William O. Gilliland February 26, 1938 in Port Washington,
WI. He preceded her in death June 16, 1989. Mrs. Gilliland graduated from
Michigan State University in 1935 and continued to be a loyal supporter
through the Beaumont Tower Preservation and the John Hannah Society and
other related MSU events as well as being a life-time member and past president
of the MSU Alumni Association. Another philanthropy of hers was Henry Ford
Hospital in Detroit. During her years in Alpena she was a member of Alpena
Hospital Tray Club, Girl Scout Council, Child Study Club and other volunteer
activities. She was also a member of First Congregational Church of Alpena,
The Unitarian Church of Naples and the Naples Sail Club and Lake Winyah
Club in Alpena. She is survived by three daugthers, Susan Rafferty and
husband, T.G. Rafferty Jr. of Brighton, MI, Jean Gilliland and husband,
Ron Winter of Alpena, MI, Ann Horton of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Thomas
Rafferty III, Dr. Colleen Concepcion, Sarah Horton, R.W. Greg Horton, Addie
Horton; great-granddaughter, Anna Rafferty; one sister, Edna Guenther of
Port Washington, WI; nephews, Walter Guenther, Robert Gilliland; and one
niece, Gail Gilliland. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two

Adelyn (Pat) Kamps, 90, of Naples, died on Wednesday, June 14, 2000.
She had been a resident of Naples since 1973, coming from Arlington, Va./Washington,
D.C. area. In Washington, she was a reporter for the Bureau of National
Affairs, Inc. She had been active for many years at the St. Vincent de
Paul Society and at Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her son, Michael
J. Kamps and his wife, Carolyn of Dalton, Ga.; three nephews; and two nieces.

Adolf Weppner, 66, of Naples, died Thursday, March 29, 2001. Mr. Weppner
lived in Hudson, FL before moving to Naples. He is survived by his wife,

Agnes ''Aggie'' Pratt, 74, of Naples, passed away Thursday, April 27,
2000. Agnes moved to Naples in 1984 from Concord, N.H. and worked as a
missile assembler at Defense Research. She is survived by her husband of
56 years, Bill Pratt; her son and daughter-in-law, William Jr. and Barbara
Pratt of Penacook, N.H.; her daughter and son-in-law Maureen and John Kenyon
of Naples. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Billy III and his wife,
Jul Marie of Randolph, Mass.; Stephen Sarabia of Naples and Paige and her
husband, Tony Martinez of Boscawen, N.H.; and four great grandchildren.

Agnes H. Murphy, 79, of Naples, (formerly of Ft. Myers), passed away
Tuesday, March 6th. Mrs. Murphy was born on April 14, 1921 in Luthersburg,
Pa. Mrs. Murphy was active in Real Estate sales in Ft. Myers and recently
retired from the insurance industry. Surviving family members include daughter,
Judi (Bill) Graham; and their children, Jeff and Ashley of Naples; son,
Dennis (Cecilia); and their children, Grady, Caitlin and Sean of Greeley,
Colo., daughter-in-law, Wendy; and her children, Michael, Matthew and Michell
of Ft. Myers; nephew, Don Thompson (Sherri); and their children; Caitlin
and Kelsey of Ft. Myers; and son, Marty (Debbie); and Katie of Ft. Myers.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and son, John.

Agnes J. Savitskas Endrelunas of Naples, Fla., died peacefully with
her loving family at her side on December 30, 2000. Before moving to Naples
with her husband in 1999, she resided in South Windsor, Conn. for 47 years.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Aloysius "Ozzie" Endrelunas; her son
and daughter-in-law, Karl and Rebecca Endrelunas of Naples, Fla.; daughter
and son-in-law, Karol and Gregory Bowman of Naples, Fla.; and grandchildren,
Adam and Kate Endrelunas and Ryan and Sarah Bowman, who will all miss her
dearly. She also leaves her sister, Wanda Eanell of Tampa, Fla.; her brother,
Walter Savitskas of New Hampshire; sister, Frances Xantho of South Windsor,
Conn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister,
Anna Meshkun of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and her brother, Alfred Savitskas

Aida Milan Bresher of Naples, Fla., died Monday, September 4, 2000.
Mrs. Bresher was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and had been a resident of
Naples for the past 27 years coming from Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. Bresher attended
both public and private schools in Puerto Rico. She was a graduate of Marywood
College in Scranton, Pa. and received her BS Degree in Home Economics and
a Master's Degree in Household Arts from Columbia University in New York
City. Mrs. Bresher was past member of the Montgomery County Women"s Medical
Auxiliary in Dayton, Dayton Music and the Dayton Council on World Affairs.
She was a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Women's Association, The College
Women's Club, Dayton Art Institute, World Federalist Association, Naples
Conservancy, Friends of the Everglades, World Wild Life Fund, Florida Audubon
Society, Friends of the Collier County Museum and contributing member of
Naples Youth Haven and the Guadalupe Center in Immokalee. Mrs. Bresher
was a world traveler and resided at the Glades Country Club in Naples and
attended St. Ann's Catholic Church. Mrs Bresher is survived by two sons,
R.A. ""Tony" Bresher and his wife, Wanda of Centerville, Ohio and Naples
Fla., J.T. Bresher ""Jerry"" Bresher and his wife, Debbie of Dayton, Ohio;
daughter, Cathy and her husband, Mark Jeffers of Centerville, Ohio; a sister
Ana Dosal of Ponce, Puerto Rico; and three granddaughters, Melissa Bresher
and Jennifer and Lindsay Jeffers; and many nieces and nephews in Puerto
Rico. Mrs. Bresher was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome T. Brehsher,

Al Liutkus, 67, died Sunday, November 5, 2000 in Naples, Fla. where
he had lived since May 1997. Born June 12, 1933 in Kaunas, Lithuania, he
immigrated to the United States after WW II and became a U.S. citizen in
April 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958 and then in 1960
received a degree in Architecture from Case Western Reserve University
in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects.
He began and ended his 37 year career as an architect at Dalton and Dalton,
which subsequently became URS Corporation. He was an accomplished architect
and project manager, taking great pride and pleasure in his work. Noteworthy
projects included B.F. Goodrich Company World Headquarters Building, Independence,
Ohio, Orient Reception Center, Orient, Ohio, The Cleveland Public Library
and many other education and commercial facilities in and outside Ohio.
He truly loved his family and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Edda
Liutkus of Naples; his children, Andrew Liutkus of Naples, Indre (Ray)
Johnson of New York City; and grandsons, Alec and Karl Johnson. A memorial
service and placing of the Cremated Remains will be held at 11:30 a.m.

Alan Eugene Yergin, 70, died Saturday, April 8, 2000. He served in the
U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955 aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Robinson. He retired
with the rank of Lieutenant Commander USMR. Judge Yergin was an active
real estate entrepreneur in Florida, owner/developer of several residential
projects in the Naples, Fla. area. He is survived by his wife, the former
Nora Lee Bow; two daughters, Deborah (Gary) West of Yorktown and Cindy
(Eric) Linder of New Castle; three grandchildren, John Alan West, a student

Alan G. Alexander, 69, of Naples, Fla., died Monday, March 19, 2001.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he moved to Naples eight years ago from
Upland, Calif. He was born March 9, 1932 in Evansville, Ind., the son of
Al B. and Bertha K. Alexander. Growing up in Cincinnati, he attended schools
there and graduated from Walnut Hills High School. He attended both the
University of Wyoming and Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran
of the Korean War. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of the Hyde Park
Lodge in Cincinnati and the Cypress Lodge of Naples. Mr. Alexander is survived
by his children, Ann Marie Alexander and her children, Nicholas and Walter
of Naples and Amy Alexander Andis, and husband, Kevin of San Bernardino,
Calif.; his mother, Bertha K. Alexander of Naples; sister, Carolyn Hobson
and her husband, David of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Mae Rapp Alexander in 1996;

Alan J. Deerfield, 69, of North Naples, died Sunday, April 1, 2001.
He had been a resident of Naples for the past year coming from Harwich,
MA. Mr. Deerfield had also lived in Newport, RI for 23 years before moving
to Harwich, MA. Mr. Deerfield retired from the Lockheed-Martin Company
in 1996. Prior to joining Lockheed in 1987, he spent 23 years as a consulting
engineer and computer scientist for the Raytheon Company having designed
the guidance computer systems for both the Hawk and the Patriot Guided
Missile Systems. He was a former member and past president of the Rosi
Crucians Lodge, Boston Chapter. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn
S. Deerfield of Naples, FL; son, Kevin Kelly of Revere, MA; daughter, Kathleen

Hollywood, Fla. and Bloomington, Ill., he moved to Naples in 1994. He was
born November 7, 1938 in Gary, Ind. to Walter and the late Lois (McLaughlin)
Bunn. He attended Illinois State University at Normal. He was a Class A
member with 33 years of active service in the Golf Course Superintendents
Association of America. Mr. Bunn is survived by his wife, Guerry; father,

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he retired to Naples in 1986 from Waverly, Pa.
He was a past vice president of Keystone Coca-Cola Company of Wilkes-Barre,
Pa. He was a member and Elder of Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church in Naples,
a member of the Quail Creek Country Club, a 32nd degree member of the Masonic
Order and a member of the Kiwanis Club in Scranton, Pa. He is survived
by his wife, Joan Reid Day; his daughter, Robin Carter and her husband,

Alan W. MacCarthy, 92, died Wednesday, March 23, 2000 at Moorings Park,
Naples, Fla. Mr. MacCarthy was born July 23, 1907 in Orange, N.J. He graduated
from Exeter School (class of 1927), Hobart College (class of 1931) and
Harvard Business School (class of 1933), earning an AB and MBA. On June
8, 1935 he married Matilda ''Til'' Truex Wharton. Mr. MacCarthy moved to
Ann Arbor, Mich. in 1950 to direct the first major capital campaign for
the Phoenix Memorial Project. In 1952 his wife and children joined him
in Ann Arbor and he was named Director of Development for the University
of Michigan, a post he held until his retirement in 1972. In 1972, Mr.
MacCarthy and his wife moved to Naples, Fla. While there, they became very
active in the University of Michigan Club in Southwestern Florida. Mr.
MacCarthy's career activities included President of the American Alumni
Association, founder of the Big Ten Fund Raiser Institute, a member of
the Rotary International Organization and a member of the University of
Michigan's Presidents Club. Survivors include Alan W. MacCarthy Jr. of
Escondido, Calif.; Matilda Tranzow of Arcadia, Calif.; Douglas E. MacCarthy
of Aurora, Colo.; Anne M. Vander Hyden of Saline, Mich.; sister-in-law,

Albert Cox, 82, of Bonita Springs, died Friday, March 3, 2000 at his
residence. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs for the past five months
coming from Saginaw, Mich. He was a veteran of WW II having served in the
US Army and was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Loyal Order
of Cooties, all in Saginaw, Mich. He is survived by his wife, Agnes L.
Cox of Bonita Springs; son, Gary A. (Debra) Cox of Big Rapids, Mich.; daughter,
Jill A. (Robert) Thompson of Bonita Springs; three sisters, Betty Kijorski

Albert F. Engel, 79, of Bonita Springs, Fla., passed away February 23,
2000 at his residence. He was born April 11, 1920 in Bayonne, N.J., the
son of William and Matilda Engel and had been a resident of Bonita Springs
since 1983 coming from Beachwood, N.J. Albert served as a Staff Sergeant
with the First Marine Division at Guadal Canal during WW II. Mr. Engel
was a member of the V.F.W. and a retired voluntary fire fighter in Avenel,
N.J. and had retired in 1983 with 30 years service from a management position
at a Chevrolet Auto Supply service department in Rahway, N.J. Surviving
are his son, Albert W. Engel of Bonita Springs; his four daughters and
three sons-in-law, Dianne Engel of Somerset, N.J., Kathy and Michael Gibson
of Beachwood, N.J., Donna and William Howell of Bonita Springs and Rita
and James Joels of Naschanic Station, N.J.; his two brothers, William Engel
of Bayonne, N.J. and Walter Engel of Whiting, N.J.; his three sisters,
Jean Moehring of Lakeland, Fla., Thelma Prekop of Carteret, N.J. and Joan
Murphy of Succasauna, N.J. Six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren
also survive. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita, in 1994.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 27, 2000 from 2:00 to
4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St.
Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow. The family suggests memorial contributions
in Albert's name to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle North, Ft. Myers,
