Alice T. G. Noble 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Alice T. Grottole Noble, 79, of 70 Colonial Blvd., who died Aug. 16. She was the wife of George F. "Red" Noble.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, George S. Noble of Ohio; a brother, John Grottole of West Haven; and a grandchild. She was predeceased by brothers Albert and Eugene Grottole.

Curtis E. Smith 
The Beecher & Bennett-Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Curtis E. Smith, 64, of 418 Blohm St., who died Aug. 16. He was the husband of Dorothy Whitfield Smith. He owned the Smith Trucking Co. since 1980 and was also a subcontractor of the U.S. Postal Service. He owned Curtis Tire Service of Milford from 1973 to 1982.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Theresa A. Antrum of Ansonia and Sheila A. Samuel of West Haven; sons Curtis Willie Smith of New York, Edward Smith of West Haven, Carl Smith of New Hampshire and Jaques Kirk Smith of New Haven; a sister, Katie Lewis of Cleveland; brothers Condor Smith Sr. of GA and James C. Smith of Seymour; and 14 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Rufus D. and Lee Willie Smith, Sr.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The Beecher & Bennett-Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 
Renato C. Rinaldi 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Aedan' s Church for Renato C. "Ray" Rinaldi, 88, of 705 W. Washington Ave., who died Aug. 16. He was the widower of Mary Garbini Rinaldi. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Sikorsky Aircraft for 35 years.

He is survived by sons Raymond Rinaldi of New Haven and Roy R. Rinaldi of Wallingford; a brother, Nelson H. Rinaldi of Hamden and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Rena Rinaldi and brothers Sidney and Art Rinaldi.

Robert P. Ahearn 
A graveside service was held for Robert P. Ahearn, 49, of 382 Center St., who died Aug. 17. He was the son of Helen Card Ahearn of West Haven and the late John J. Ahearn, Sr. He was a self employed painter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers John, William, Kenneth and George Ahearn of West Haven. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Nealie B. Brennan 
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church for Nealie Benicker Brennan, 88, of 5 Lincoln St., who died Aug. 17. She was the wife of Albert Brennan.

Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters Dorothy Brennan Scott of Milford and Harriet Brennan Hill of West Haven; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Brennan Eckel and a granddaughter. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary A. Volpicella 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Mary Aiello Volpicella, 86, of 27 Belle Circle, who died Aug. 18. She was the wife of Gaetano Volpicella.

She leaves a daughter, RoseAnn Gulisano of West Haven; sisters Louise Fortin and Natalie Adamczyck of East Haven, and Jennie Alfano of New Haven; brothers James Aiello, in PA, and Nichaols and Peter Aiello of North Haven; a step-brother, Howard Iello of Stamford; and two granddaughters. She was predeceased by sisters Lucy Fernandez, Susanne Aiello and Rose Nuzzo, and brother Natale, Ralph and Frank Aiello.

Janice L. Dunn 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church for Janice L. Dunn, 60, of 200 Elm St., who died Aug. 20. She worked for the New Haven Public Library, retiring in 1991, and then for Tutor Time Day Care Center.

She leaves a cousin, the Rev. Robert J. Malone of Bridgeport. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert P. Brett 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Robert P. Brett, 85, of Center St., who died Aug. 19. He was an office assistant for Fuller Merriam Co. until retiring.

He leaves a brother, Edward W. Brett of West Haven. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas B. Brett; and sisters Elizabeth and Marjorie Brett.

Concetta A. Onofrio 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Concetta A. Onofrio Pascale, 80, of 32 Winfred St., who died Aug. 22. She was the widow of Ralph Pascale. She was a retired bookkeeper. She leaves several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers John and Carmen Onofrio.

Harold J. Scholze 
The Beecher & Bennett-SethTaylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Harold J. Scholze, 60, of 199 East Ave., who died Aug. 21. He was the husband of Siegrid Mueller Scholze and son of Johanna Weiss Scholze of West Haven and the late Herbert Scholze. He was a mechanic for Montesi Volkswagen.

Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a daughter, Stephanie J. Scholze of Ansonia and a sister, Evelyn DelGrego of Hamden. He was predeceased by a brother, Steven Scholze.

The Curvin K. Council Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Carolyn Sue T. Henyard, 49, of Lydia Street, who died Aug. 12. She was the wife of John Henyard, and the daughter of Marjorie Toney of West Haven and the late Leroy Toney. She was a retired employee of SNET.

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves a brother, Richard Toney of West Haven and her maternal grandmother, Idella Mitchell of West Haven. Burial was in Hamden Plains Cemetery.

Frances Obersteadt 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Frances Obersteadt, 71, of 10 Norwell St., who died Aug. 15. She was the widow of William Obersteadt.

She leaves sons William and Mark Obersteadt of West Haven and a sister, Eleanor Paulson of East Hartford. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Helen R. Angelo 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church for Helen Romano Angelo, 72, of Painter Avenue, who died Aug. 14. She was the wife of John F. Angelo, Sr. She was a retired housekeeper for the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, John F. Angelo, Jr. of West Haven; sisters, Phyllis Lambert of East Haven, Loretta Grasso of New Britain and Dora McQueeny of Glastonbury; and a brother, Pasquale Romano of West Haven. She was predeceased by sistgers Marge Richello, Angelina DeFonzo, Marion Christopher and Pasqualena Ceritto, and brothers Joseph, John, Anthony and Louis Romano. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Michael DiElsi 
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony's Church for Michael DiElsi, 84, of 32 Lakeview Avenue, who died Aug. 10. He was the husband of Anna Simone DiElsi. He was a 30-year mechanic for the railroad, and worked in maintenance for the Board of Education, retiring in 1982.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Maria DiElsi Corenki of West Haven; a son, Donato DiElsi of Norwalk; a brother, Carmen "Jazz" DiElsi of West Haven; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Louise Caruso and Lena Arpino, and brothers Anthony, Charles, and Pasquale DiElsi. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Porto Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn I. Cox 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Carolyn Iannone Cox, 55, of 63 Savin Park, who died Aug. 12. She was the wife of Barry R. Cox, and the daughter of Sara Oakes Iannone of West Haven and the late Joseph Iannone. She was an executive secretary for Bayer Pharmaceuticals.

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves daughters Kristin Stellato and Tina Menze of West Haven; a stepdaughter, Alison Tricarico of Meriden; brothers Joseph and David Iannone of Orange; and two grandchildren..

Jon S. Evans 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Jon S. Evans, 64, of 265 Washington Ave,. who died Aug. 11. He was the husband of Carol Bly Evans. He was a retired computer operator for the Knights of Columbus in New Haven.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Pamela Welch of East Haven; sons Timothy Evans of East Haven and Jeffrey Evans of West Haven; brothers James T. Evans of New Haven and Charles Evans of Trumbull; and two grandchildren.

The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Martha Shaw Demler, 90, of 200 oak St., who died July 27. She was the widow of Charles Demler.

She leaves a niece, Grace Hendricks of West Haven. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Demler. 
Michael O'Bymachow 
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church for Michael O'Bymachow, 72, of 233 First Ave., who died July 31. He was the widower of Marilyn O'Bymachow. He was a civil engineer for Nowakowski, O'Bymachow and Kane, retiring in 1994. He was a Marine veteran.

He leaves daughters Joe Ann Robinson of Meriden, Jacqueline O'Bymachow of Manchester; a son, David O'Bymachow of Orange; sisters, Grace O'Bymachow of West Haven and Marion Wilcox of North Branford; brothers Joseph O'Bymachow of CA, and Richard O'Bymachow of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Isles; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Florence O'Bymachow and a brother, Charles O'Bymachow.

Gloria C. Angeloni 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony's Church, New Haven, for Gloria Cusano Angeloni, 80, of High Meadow Lane, who died Aug. 1. She was the widow of Nicholas Angeloni. She was the co-owner and operator of Big Boy Restaurant and Angeloni Catering. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Martin E. Forbes 
A service was held at Christ Episcopal Church for Martin E. Forbes, 85, of Aimes Drive, who died Aug. 2 He was the husband of Dorothea Clarke Forbes. He retired in 1979 from the methods department at Western Electric, where he worked for 43 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Martin Forbes of North Branford and retired Deputy Police Chief Theodore Forbes of West Haven; a daughter, Cindy Rockefeller of North Haven; a sister, Marsha Leake of West Haven; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Susan Fabrizio 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Susan Fabrizio, 35, of 174 Union Ave., who died Aug. 3. She was the daughter of Daniel Fabrizio of New Haven and Patricia Cummings Fitzsimmons of Derby. She was an office clerk for Yale Medical Supply.

Besides her parents, she leaves sisters Patricia Betzner of New London and Gina and Melissa Fabrizio, both of Meriden; and brothers Daniel Fabrizio and Patrick Betzner, both of Derby. She was predeceased by brothers Mark and Edward Fabrizio. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Porto Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy C. Fresenius 
A Mass was held at Sacred Heart Church for Dorothy Crandall Fresenius, 76, of 71 Lucey Ave., who died Aug. 4. She was a retired cafeteria worker for West Haven High School.

She leaves a son, Henry C. Fresenius III of North Branford; daughters Katherine and Barbara Fresenius of West Haven, and Carolyn Condron, in Florida; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Albert D. Fresenius; a brother, Albert D. Crandall; and a sister, Katherine Jacobson.

Arnold Jacobson 
The Robert E. Shure Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Arnold Jacobson, of 96 Jones Hill Road, who died Aug. 3. He was the husband of Bernice Sneiderman Jacobson.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey Jacobson of Trumbull and Paul Jacobson of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Stefanie Krieger of Woodbridge; a sister, Natalie Olderman of West Haven; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Marcella Witowsky, 81, of 150 Fenwick St., who died Aug. 6. She was the widow of Andrew Witowsky. She was a retired licensed practical nurse for the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.

She leaves a son, Andrew Witowsky of Chester; brothers Joseph Klember of Portland and Robert Klemba of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Lillian Klemba of FL; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Witowsky; brothers John, Theodore and Edward Klemba; and sisters, Helen Sandusky, Isabelle Stevens, Dorothy Barbanell, Veronica Wichorwski, Nellie Kuiaski and Estelle Winiarski. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James M. Gaul 
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for James M. Gaul, 45, of 817 Campbell Ave., who died Aug. 4. He was the son of Lucille Petrillo Gaul of West Haven and the late John Gaul.

He also leaves a sister, Patricia LaRock of Hamden; brothers David Gaul of Stratford and John Gaul of Brooklyn, CT. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Hamden Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ellen D. Perelli 
Services were private for Ellen DeCarlo Perelli, 90, of 315 First Ave., who died Aug. 7. She was a former employee of the Golden Crest Ice Cream Co.

She leaves a sister, Sylvia McKiernan, and brothers William "Duke' and Robert DeCarlo, all of West Haven. She was predeceased by sisters Mille Bosse and Billie DeCarlo LaVorgna, and brothers Dominic, Richard and Henry DeCarlo. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery. John Rivera 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Church, New Haven, for John Rivera, 53, of 89 Coleman Road, who died Aug. 7. He was the husband of Elizabeth Manos Rivera. He was a machinist for Arkwright Co. in Guilford.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, John Rivera, Jr., of New York City; daughters Deborah and Elizabeth Rivera of West Haven and Melissa Henry of Bridgeport; brothers Felix Rivera of New Haven and Carmelo Rivera of East Haven; sisters Ida and Anna Rivera of New Haven, Maria Clark of New Britain and Julie Lance of Canaan; and four grandchildren. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. The W.S. Clancy Funeral Home of Branford were in charge of arrangements.

Donald T. Kasarda 
The Family Funeral Home of Pennsylvania was in charge of arrangements for Donald T. Kasarda, 72, of 182 Meloy Road, who died July 28. He was a retired inspector for Sikorsky Aircraft. He was an Army veteran.

He leaves daughters Cindy Isolda and Lori Procop of Bridgeport; sons Donald T. Kasarda in Florida, and Stephen Kasarda of Trumbull; a brother, James Gouldsboro in PA; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister and two brothers.
