A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Florence Angelo Mierzejewski, 79, of 95 Westfield St., who died Dec. 30. She was the widow of Michael Mierzejewski. She retired in 1995 from the New England Die Casting Co.

She leaves a daughter, Virginia M. Martens of West Haven; sons, Ronald K. and Michael W. Mierzejewski of West Haven; sisters, Gloria Possidente of Hamden and Mollie Sanso of Milford; a brother, Louis Angelo of Hamden; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Mierzejewski Jr.; a sister, Mary Melillo; and brothers, Carmen "Mac", Frank and Albert Angelo. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Nellie L.C. LaBelle 
The Beecher & Bennett Taylor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Nellie L. Coleman LaBelle, of 105 Fairfax St., who died Dec. 31. She was the widow of Melvin LaBelle.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara McDonald and Bernice McCollum of New Haven, Amy Wormley of North Haven, Melvina Ewings of Hamden, Roberta Thomas of CA, Karen Tavares of Wallingford; a son Melvin E. LaBelle Jr., of NH; brothers, Henry Coleman of New Haven and Eugene Coleman of MA; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Julius Coleman and a grandson Keith Freeman.

Margaret M. Close 
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Margaret McDade Close, 67, of 68 Richards Place, who died Dec. 30. She worked for the Dana Corp.

She leaves daughters, Carolanne Close of NH and Margaret Close of Milford; a son, James T. Close of North Branford and a brother, James McDade in Scotland.

James H. Shine 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for James H. "Trapper" Shine, 84, of 253 Washington Ave., who died Dec. 31. He was the husband of Ann Donahue Shine. He was the assistant police chief for the West Haven Police Department for 29 years, retiring in 1976. He was a Navy veteran.

Besides his wife, he leaves daughters, Mary Mormile of Hamden and Helen Johnson of Guilford; sons, James F. Shine of Chester, Thomas A., Patrick H. and William B. Shine of West Haven; a sister, Mary Grottole of West Haven; a brother, Charles Shine of Branford; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Losness. Burial was in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Michael Vozzo 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Michael Vozzo, 86, of 16 Gilbert St., who died Dec. 31. He was the husband of Lorraine William Vozzo. He was retired from the United Illuminating Co. in 1976. He was a Navy veteran. He was predeceased by sisters, Rachel Annunziata and Mary Vocco and brothers, Ralph and Anthony Vozzo.

Stella L. Nardini 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Stella Lowensky Nardini, 84, of 200 Oak St., who died Jan.1. She was the widow of Dino J. Nardini. She worked in the gift shop of the Veterans Affairs medical center prior to retiring.

She leaves a daughter, Barbara J. Sarnowski of Southington; a son, Dino D. Nardini of Milford; sisters, Dorothy and Wanda Beason of ID, and C "Sis" Kusak in CA;; brothers Henry Lowensky of NY, and Victor Bernasky in ID; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Fontana and brothers Walter and Charles Lowensky.

Adelbert S. Germond 
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Adelbert "Bert" S. Germond, 83, of 72 Hillcrest Ave., who died Dec. 31. He was the husband of Edith Prehn Germond. He retired in 1976 after 40 years as a supervisor for the former Western Electric Co. He was an Army veteran.

Besides his wife, he leaves sons, Steven P. Germond of FL, William Germond of Wallingford and Kevin A. Germond of West Haven; a sister, Virginia G. Tomlinson of Wallingford and three grandchildren. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Marcelle N. Acabbo 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for Marcelle N. Acabbo, 75, of 44 Atwood Ave., who died Dec. 31. She was the widow of James F. Acabbo.

She leaves daughters, Elaine Evans of Guilford and Marlene Preiss of West Haven; sons, James Acabbo of East Haven and Ronald Acabbo of West Haven; a brother, Norman Vanasse of VT; four grandchildren, a great grandchild and two step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Yolande Burch.

Enrica Broccoli 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Enrica Broccoli who died Jan. 1. She was the widow of John Broccoli. She is survived by daughters Mary Mattei, Anna Secchiaroli and Alma DeRosa; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Mattei; and three brothers and three sisters.

Joseph W. Harvey, Sr. 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for former Police Chief Joseph W. Harvey, Sr., 88, of 36 Admiral St., who died Jan. 1. He was the husband of Kathryn Pastore Harvey. He joined the West Haven Police Department in 1941 and served as chief from 1969 until he retired in 1978.

Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Rosemarie H. Williamson of Branford; sons Joseph W. Harvey, Jr. and Daniel F. Harvey of West Haven; a step-daughter, Marie P. Carrano of Branford; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Rachela "Lucy" Acampora Harvey; a sister, Mary H. Martens; and a brother, Daniel F. Harvey.

Dorothy M.M. Platt 
A service was held at Christ Episcopal Church for Dorothy Manfield Morgen Platt, formerly of West Haven; who died Jan. 3. She was the widow of John W. Platt. She was a teacher in Guilford, Orange Milford and West Haven, and an administrator for the West Haven Board of Education before retiring.

She leaves a son, Christopher P. Morgen of East Haddam; a daughter, Jennifer P, Morgen of Clinton; sisters Mary Jane Kelley of West Haven and Helen Arsenault of East Haven, and Natalie Ferringer, with whom she lived. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Edger Morgen. Burial was in Carrington Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Patricia B. Lacobelli 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Patricia Bowman Lacobelli, of 355 Captain Thomas Blvd., who died Jan. 4. She was the wife of Gene M. Lacobelli.

She is survived by daughters. Janet Verneris Strom of New Haven, Katherine Verneris Skaltsas of West Haven, and Sara Lacobelli Inclima of MI; a son, Stephen Lacobelli of West Haven; and seven grandchildren. She was a past president of the West Haven Italian-American Ladies Auxiliary.

Adam J. Wyzykoski 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Adam J. Wyzykoski of 106 Phillips Terrace, who died Jan. 3. He was the husband of Maryanna Glinski Wyzykoski.

He is survived by sons, Adam Wade of Orange, and Robert Wade of OR; a sister, Stephanie Butler of Orange; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Prior to retirement, he was an offset printer for Hunt Printers.

Donna D. Devlin 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Lawrence Church for Donna Dunn Devlin of 85 Richards Place, who died Jan 4. She was the wife of John P. Devlin.

She is survived by a son, Keith Devlin of Milford; daughters, Meg Kingston and Denise Przybylowski, both of Hamden, and Patrice Bennett of Norwalk, Virginia; a brother, Michael Dunn of WA; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Bombard.

John P. DiDato 
The Celentano Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for John P. DiDato, 71, of 305 Main St., who died Jan. 5. He was a computer graphics artist for Kinko's Copy Center in Orange. He was a Korean War veteran.

He leaves a son, Christopher J. DiDato of Fremont, Calif.; a daughter, Jo-elle Bridges of NC: and a granddaughter. He is also survived by his former wife, Martha DiDato of Milford. Burial was in Beaverdale Memorial Cemetery.

Meyer Sisken 
The Robert E. Shure Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Meyer Sisken of 469 Ocean Ave., who died Jan. 8. He was the husband of Anna Hodes Sisken.

He is survived by sons, Lawrence Hodes of MA, and Harold Sisken of Cheshire; daughters, Joan Kalin of New Haven, Estelle Goldin of Milford and Barbara Natrillo of Wallingford; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Donald E. Greene 
The Curvin K. Council Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Donald E. Greene, 61 of Terrace Avenue, who died Jan. 6. He was the husband of Christine Greene. He was a machine operator for Marlin Firearms.

Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Margaret Greene of New Haven; sons, Donald Greene, Jr., Anthony, Aaron and Gary Greene, all of New Haven; a brother, Oliver Greene of New and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Inez Smith.

Ralph Palmieri 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Ralph Palmieri, 79, of 308 Savin Ave., who died Jan. 8. He was the widower of Mary DeColo Palmieri. Prior to retiring he was an employee of Montesi Motors in North Haven for 10 years and a supervisor for the former United Elastic Co., where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include a son, Angelo Palmieri of East Haven; a daughter, Mary Lamano of West Haven; brothers, Frank Palmieri of Clinton and Attilio Palmieri of West Haven; and three grandchildren.. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Porto Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Veronica M. Cahill 
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Veronica "Vera" Moore Cahill, 90, of 48 Andrews St., who died Jan.6. She was the widow of James P. Cahill. She was a bookkeeper for the Connecticut Refining Co. until retiring.

She leaves a niece, Anne Marie Goldstein of Moscow, Idaho. 
Mary Ellen Tierney 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Mary Ellen Tierney, 58, of 174 Center St., who died Jan. 10. She was a receptionist at Soundview Care Center and had worked at the Seton Name Plate Corp. in Branford.

Survivors include a sister, Ann Moffitt of Monroe, Maine, and a brother, James Tierney of Auburn, Maine. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Tierney, Jr. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pasquale Console 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Pasquale Console, 83, of 185 Lauren St., who died Jan. 10. He was the husband of Josephine Padillo Console. He retired in 1983 from the Mode Dress Co., where he was a presser for more than 30 years. He was an Army veteran.

Besides his wife, survivors include sisters, Phyllis Fazio and Anna Rose Rotella of New Haven and Margaret Redente and Josephine Cretella of East Haven. He was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Nastri and brothers, William, John and Andrew Console. Burial was in All saints Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church for Ann DuFault McManus, 70, of 58 Baker St., who died Dec.10. She was the wife of Richard J. McManus. She was a legal secretary for 40 years and was associated with the former Klein & Klein law firm in New Haven. She was later a cashier at ShopRite supermarket.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Gail C. McManus; a son, Richard J. McManus; and a brother, Wilfred DuFault of West Haven.

Lucy M. Teodosio 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church for Lucy M. Teodosio, of 460 Blohm St., who died Dec. 10. She was the widow of Fortunato Teodosio.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Bruno of West Haven; sons, James F. Teodosio of SC, and Frank Teodosio of Northford; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Teodosio, a sister, Frances Spinato and a great-great grandson.

Rose V. Bonelli 
The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Rose Valentine Bonelli, 95, of 588 Ocean Ave., who died Dec. 13. She was the widow of Dante J. Bonelli. Before retiremet, she was a legal secretary.

She is survived by a nephew, Charles V. Tremonti of West Haven. She was predeceased by a sister, Tina Tremonti. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in New York.

Matthew G. Sawin 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Matthew G. Sawin, 10, of 791 Campbell Ave., who died Dec. 9. He was the son of Diane Sawin of West Haven and Luis Cintron in Florida. He was a student at ACES Village School.

He is survived by his stepfather, Timothy Lampman of West Haven; sister, Emily Lampman of West Haven;; maternal grandmother, Pamela Moore of West Haven; maternal great-grandmother Emma Moore of West Haven; and step-grandparents, Robert and Shirley Lampman of West Haven. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Donald A. Polek 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony's Church, New Haven, for Donald Anthony Polek, 65, of 174 Union Ave., who died Dec. 9. He worked for many years for the Connecticut Container Trucking Co. for many years.

Survivors include sons, Donald and David Polek of New Haven; a sister, Beverly Emerson of North Haven; brothers, Walter Polek in Massachusetts, and Larry Polek, in Georgia. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dominic Lanci 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Dominic Lanci, 2-month -old son of Elizabeth Lanci and stepson of Fred Palmer, both of West Haven, who died Dec. 11.

Other survivors include his maternal grandparents, Anthony Lanci and Colleen Atwood, both of West Haven; his step-grandparents, Barry and Barbara Ann Grinnell of West Haven; his maternal great-grandmother, Sharon Atwood of Hamden; his father, Keith Diaz of West Haven; and his paternal grandparents Lynda and Analdi Diaz of West Haven. Ronald T. King 
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Ronald T. King, 42, of 421 Sawmill Road, who died Dec. 12. He was the husband of Gina DeStefano King.

Other survivors include a daughter, Karisa King of West Haven; brothers, Dennis Boughton and Ernest C. King, Jr., both of West Haven, and Lawrence King of Derby; and sisters Alice Felosh of Southington, Phyllis Frye of Florida and Lorraine Walls of New Haven. He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth Boughton, Jr., Francis Boughton and Peter King; and sisters Catherine Upton and Janice Tourangeau. The Keenan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Brandon T. Reyes 
The Curvin K. Council Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Brandon Terrence Reyes, 2 months, of Glade St., who died Dec. 15. He was the son of Gina Reyes of West Haven and Ron Moore of New Haven.

Besides his parents, he leaves his paternal grandmother, Shirley Green of New Haven; his maternal grandfather, Terrence Reyes of Lancaster, SC. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary Louise Reyes.

Andrew O. Reed 
The Bell Funeral Home of New Haven was in charge of arrangements for Andrew "Buster" O. Reed, 85, of 56 Ormond St., who died Dec. 16. He was the husband of Nettie Wright Reed. He was a maintenance technician for the White Trucking Co. for 25 years, prior to retiring in 1986.

Besides his wife, he leaves daughters, Nadine Garnett of West Haven and Angie Nelson of New Haven; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, James and Charlie Mac Reed, and a sister, Mary Reed Smith.

Virginia C. Conlon 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Virginia Connolly Conlon, 83, of 109 Skyline Drive, who died Dec. 17. She was the widow of Thomas F. Conlon, Sr. She was retired from the Bayer Corp.

She leaves a daughter, Suzanne E. Conlon of Guilford; sons, Thomas F. Conlon, Jr. of VA and Brian P. Conlon of VT; a sister, Eunice M. Connolly of West Haven; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor C. Fitzgerald, and brothers, Bernard F. Robert H. Harwood 
The Porto Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Robert H. Harwood, 75, of 172 Islanad Lane, who died Dec. 19. He was the husband of Joyce Rourke Harwood. He was a machinist at the former Winchester Repeating Arms Co. He was later employed at Rocklen's Auto Parts in West Haven, retiring in 1987. He was an Army veteran.

Besides his wife, he leaves sons James and John Harwood, both of West Haven; a sister, Mildred Sankowski of Wallingford; a brother, Richard Harwood of Southington; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by sisters, Mae Pizzuti, Dorothy Malgeri, Jenny McKenny, Marion Emond and Belle Harwood, and brothers George and William Harwood.

Edward J. Devlin 
The West Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Edward J. Devlin, 65, of 87 Campbell Ave., who died Dec. 19. He was employed in the maintenance department of Yale University for 44 years, retiring in 1997.

He leaves a sister, Catherine Bova of West Haven, and brothers John and Vincent Devlin, both of West Haven. He was predeceased by a brother, Edmund Devlin. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery.

Julia G. Salzo 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Julia Gavagnini Salzo, 87, of 21B Bayshore Drive, who died Dec. 21. She was the wife of Phillip Salzo. She was an assembler for Rubber Craft Co. before retiring.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Aleo and Carol DeFilippo, both of West Haven; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Josephine "Joann" Spina; a sister, Carrie Falletta; and a brother, John Gavagnini.

Joanne Fucci 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Church for Joanne Fucci, who died Dec. 23. She was the daughter of Mary Bracciocurti Fucci of West Haven and the late Frank Fucci. She was a professional ballroom dancer performing in New York and Florida.

Stephen J. Yarden 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church for Stephen J. Yardan, of Honor Road, who died Dec. 25. He was the husband of Arlene Doolan Yarden. He was a retired mechanical inspector for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, and served under General Patton in WWII during the invasion of Normandy.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Dr. Stephen W. Yardan of Branford; a daughter, Carole Partridge of Clinton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. John Yardan of NY; and a sister, Ann Treichel of New Haven. He was predeceased by three sisters and a brother.

Antonio S. Calosso 
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony's Church, New Haven, for Antonio S. Calosso, 103, who died Dec. 26. He was the widower of Amalia Osano Calosso. He worked as a driver for the state Highway Department for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Calosso of West Haven. He was predeceased by a son, Henry Calosso, and several brothers and sisters.
