Mr. Vallejos was born Dec. 24, 1929, in Weston to Benito and Magdalena (Griego) Vallejos, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 27, 1955, to Lucy Esquibel.

Mrs. Tipton, 69, died Nov. 15, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Green Acres Sod-N-Turf Inc. for many years.
Mrs. Tipton was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Colorado Springs to Paul E. and Sarah (Hackett) Pohlson, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 22, 1960, to Dale Tipton.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Danny R. and George "Bud"; a daughter, Sarah L. Walker; a son-in-law, Thomas Walker; a daughter-in-law, Sue; a brother, Jack Pohlson; a sister, Pat Kissell; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis Pohlson, Paul Pohlson and Robert Pohlson; and a sister, Marjorie Barker.

DELORES E. FLYNN
Mrs. Flynn, 66, died Nov. 13, 2000, at a local hospital after a long illness. She was a cook.
Mrs. Flynn was born July 27, 1934, in Moorehead, Minn., to Stephen and Rachel (Smith) McMahon, who are deceased. She was married in May 1956 to Gilbert Flynn, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Michael McMahon, Gilbert C. Flynn and Brian Flynn; five daughters, Roxann Ness, Norma Schrader, Cheryl Klein, Judy Schmidt and Stephanie Perry; and 14 grandchildren.

JEFFERSON WILLIAM THOMAS
Mr. Thomas, 61, died Nov. 14, 2000, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a teacher and counselor. He served in the Air Force for four years.
Mr. Thomas was born May 3, 1939, in Denver to Jefferson and Willa (Erving) Thomas, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 14, 1985, to Bonnie J. Hintze.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Rockmir Thomas, Floyd Stephens and Shawn Thomas; a daughter, Bonnie Willa Dean Thomas; a sister, Patricia Dean Raiford; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Louise.

Mrs. Villani was born Sept. 28, 1920, in North Wales, Great Britain, to Walter and Elizabeth (Scott) Lewis, who are deceased. She was married July 17, 1945, to Dino A. Villani, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Dino Ray, Paul and Kenneth; a daughter, Diana Montalto; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Surbrugg, 77, died Dec. 29, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He retired as an over-the-road truck driver from Summit Brick in Pueblo.
Mr. Surbrugg was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Lamar to Charles Edward and Jessie Elizabeth (Pierce) Surbrugg, who are deceased. He was married in 1955 to Treva A. Hubbard, who is deceased.
He is survived by two daughters, Delem "Dee" Sherman and Leann Hincsh; a sister, Doris Abarr; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, John. O.

DORIS L. BUTNER
Mrs. Butner, 77, died Jan. 4, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was the manager of a home day care center.
Mrs. Butner was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Nashville, Mo., to Theo S. and Dorothy L. (Webb) Morain, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 10, 1950, to Thomas M. Butner Jr., who is deceased.
She is survived by four sons, Robert D. Whitworth, Tommy L. Butner, James S. Butner and Floyd M. Butner; four daughters, Hazel N. Paris, Dorothy R. Wilks, Georgia L. Leasure and Vicki L. Mrs. Lennon was born Aug. 10, 1906, in French Lick, Ind., to Harry and Ella (Pruett) Carnes, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 28, 1926, to Tilford Earl Lennon, who is deceased.
She is survived by two daughters, Corinne Lennon Clabaugh and Dr. Cynthia Lennon; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Denny, Esther Carter and Mary Leonard.

THE REV. ERNEST MELVIN KESSINGER
The Rev. Kessinger, 82, died Jan. 2, 2001, at a local care center. He retired as a minister of United Presbyterian Church in the USA after 36 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
The Rev. Kessinger was born Oct. 5, 1918, in Hillsboro, Ill., to Ernest Josiah and Gertrude Arabella (Edwards) Kessinger, who are deceased. He was married June 24, 1947, to Gloria E. Cowan.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Greg; two daughters, Paula Megorden and Tresa Cotten; a brother, Newell LaVern; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Woehler was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Cañon City to William E. and Mary A. (Means) Woehler, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 31, 1936, to Helen D. Oliver.

Mrs. Asbridge was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Dimmock, S.D., to Philip W. and Julia Ann (Schmidt) Starkle, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 28, 1946, to Alex E. "Bud" Asbridge.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Alex Asbridge, David Asbridge and Cole Tate; two daughters, Dana Monie and Claudia York; two brothers, Robert Starkle and Thomas Starkle; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Neill, 69, died June 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was owner and operator of Ken Neill Dog Kennels in Palm Dale, Calif. He served in the Army Special Forces from 1951 to 1954.
Mr. Neill was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Chicago to Harold and Vivian (Boone) Neill, who are deceased.

Mr. Ward was born May 2, 1947, in Fayetteville, N.C. He was married March 20, 1976, to Carol A. Bachmann.

RETIRED SGT. 1ST CLASS JESSE C. ORTIZ
Sgt. 1st Class Ortiz, 64, died June 7, 2001, at a local care center of cancer. He served in the Army from 1955 to 1977. He was also an over-the-road truck driver with Werner Enterprises from 1987 to 1998, with more than 1 million accident-free miles.
Sgt. 1st Class Ortiz was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Holly to Louis and Pomposa Chavez-Ortiz, who are deceased. He was married March 1, 1980, to Marilyn Brown.

She is survived by a son, Roger; four daughters, Cyndi Lyell, Becky White, Judy Hoover and Patsy Elias; a sister, Ms. Evelyn Sparks Hurley; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard Minard, Stanley Minard, Donald Minard, Robert Minard and Carl Minard; and two sisters, Mable Jones and Dorothy Wolfarth.
A private family celebration of life service will be held. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

BRUCE H. SWENARTON
Mr. Swenarton, 86, died June 2, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was an industrial engineer and financial analyst for Lockheed Northrup & US Steel.
Mr. Swenarton was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Montclair, N.J., to Waitstill Hastings and Grace (Jenkins) Swenarton, who are deceased. He was married in 1940 to Lois Anderson, who is deceased. He was then married in 1986 to Nancy Awbrey.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, J. Dale Swenarton Kalousek and Darcie Gale Peet; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Allen and Clyde.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. June 29 at Gateway Presbyterian Church, 731 Castle Road. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

LILA MARIE PAGELER
Mrs. Pageler, 77, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 8, 2001, in Valley Stream, N.Y.
Mrs. Pageler was born March 23, 1924, in Belleville, Ill., to Ray and Georgia Southworth, who are deceased. She was married to Jack L. Pageler, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Spadone; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

JAMES EDWARD FOREMAN
Mr. Foreman, 40, died June 8, 2001, at a local hospital. He worked for Lockheed Martin.
Mr. Foreman was born June 16, 1960, in Fort Carson to Maj. George R. and Jessie M. (Smith) Foreman.
He is survived by his parents; a brother, Richard, of Colorado Springs; and four sisters, Patricia M. Riggs of Colorado Springs, Penny J. Potter of Wisconsin, Peggy A. Delidle of Colorado Springs and Priscilla E. Crawford of Virginia.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Brethren Church of Colorado Springs, 2975 Jet Wing Drive. Inurnment will be private. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.
