Dr. Metzger, 90, died May 5, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a retired doctor of dental surgery and served in the Army during World War II, retiring as lieutenant colonel.
Dr. Metzger was born Aug. 18, 1909, in Denver to John L. and Alice (Barrow) Metzger, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 18, 1937, to Eleanor Bacon.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sally; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Rollin.

DOROTHY M. (COTTERALL) MORRISEY
Mrs. Morrisey, 83, died May 6, 2000, at a local care center. She was a registered nurse.
Mrs. Morrisey was born April 16, 1917, in Philadelphia to James Bernard and Mary Mae (Madeira) Cotterall, who are deceased. She was married in May 1943 to Charles P. Morrisey.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mary Pat Garman; a brother, James Cotterall; a sister, Rosaire Shadle; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Nichols.

VIVA PAULINE SMITH
Mrs. Smith, 81, died May 5, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Smith was born May 27, 1918, in Akron, Ohio, to Denver Lee Graham and Minnie Alice Eye, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 5, 1939, to Bob Smith, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Jo Fava; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Saucerman, 94, died May 7, 2000, in Simla. She retired as a teacher after 41 years at schools in El Paso, Elbert and Lincoln counties.
Mrs. Saucerman was born May 15, 1905, in Peoria Nation County, Okla., to Sidney and Anna Hazelbaker, who are deceased. She was married in 1928 to Archie Saucerman, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, James; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Hazelbaker; and a sister, Mary McCurdy.

Mr. Patterson, 53, died May 6, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He worked at AMI for five years and was a production planner at Schlage Lock for 19 years. He served in the Army.
Mr. Patterson was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Watseka, Ill., to Marvin E. and Esther L. (Hawkes) Patterson. His father is deceased.
He is survived by his mother; three brothers, Frederick, Kenneth and Stanley; and two sisters, Lori Beatty and Dianne Marshall. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin N. and Eugene.

RAYMOND E. "RAY" KILLIAN
Mr. Killian, 69, died May 6, 2000, at his home in Widefield. He worked at Security Water and Sanitation Districts and retired from the Army after 22 years of service.
Mr. Killian was born April 17, 1931, in Pottsville, Pa., to Lester and Evelyn (Kantnor) Killian. His father is deceased. He was married Sept. 25, 1954, to June Margaret Peel.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Raymond D.; a daughter, Pauline M. Sylvester; his mother; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bieber, 40, died May 6, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a woodworker.
Mr. Bieber was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Glascow, Mont., to Roger W. and Dolores Bieber. His mother is deceased. He was married April 4, 1992, to June Cove.

ROBERT F. NOVAK
Mr. Novak, 69, died May 4, 2000, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a baseball coach for a Colorado Springs youth program and formerly an insurance broker. He served in the Marines.
Mr. Novak was born April 29, 1931, in New York to Paul and Gladys C. (Ziegenhorn) Novak, who are deceased.
He is survived by a sister, Nancy Labik.

Mrs. Brooks was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Plainville, Ind., to Frank and Harriet (Cassell) Stegner, who are deceased. She was married in March 1931 to Howell H. Brooks, who is deceased.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Fawcett and Harriet Jackson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lathrop was born Feb. 22, 1913, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Edward G. Lathrop and Carrie Bell Houck, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 3, 1959, to Maxine Winifred McDonough.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert C.; three daughters, Linda White, Peggy Reeves and Carol Wilson; a brother, Russell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gambrell, 68, died June 14, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She retired from Litton Data System.
Mrs. Gambrell was born July 25, 1931, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Richard and Earlie Jackson, who are deceased. She was married to Lonnie Gambrell, who is deceased.
She is survived by six sons, Irvin Gales, Charles Gales, Anthony Gambrell, Carl Gambrell, Kent Gambrell and Kirk Gambrell; three daughters, Ophelia Paige, Alethia Gambrell and Cynthia Gambrell; two sisters, Rethamae Wimberly and Joann Ross; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ernestine Jackson.

Mrs. Kaska, 73, died June 15, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She retired from Current.
Mrs. Kaska was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Colorado Springs to Joseph D. and Viola (McKenzie) Marsh, who are deceased. She was married April 16, 1946, to Vernard E. Kaska, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Vernard E. Jr.; three daughters, Marsha Short, Judy Ingebretson and Angela Payne; a brother, Delbert Marsh; three sisters, Viola Wood, Betty McGee and Nellie Bielz; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Marsh, James Marsh and Wimpy Marsh; and three sisters, Juanita Marsh, Patricia Olson and Rosalie Delaney.

Mrs. Ticer was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Cripple Creek, to Frederick C. and Teressa R. (Thomason) Kestle, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 20, 1959, to Hershell G. Ticer, who is deceased.

Mr. Rayborn, 24, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died June 12, 2000, in Sedgewick County as a result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Rayborn was born March 12, 1976, in Colorado Springs, to Richard and Eunice Rayborn. He was married Feb. 22, 1998, to Amanda Neidermyer.

Mr. Smith was born February 1, 1925, in Hazel, S.D. He was married March 6, 1985, to Pearl Robinson.

Mrs. Hartsock was born March 18, 1925, in Wuerzburg, Germany, to Franz Joseph and Lina (Filz) Goess, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 7, 1948, to Raymond J. Hartsock.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Diana Marie Hoch; a brother, Albert Goess; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto Goess and Albin Goess; and two sisters, Anna Heusner and Lina Goess.
