Mr. Merrill, 32, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 10, 2000, in Goodyear, Ariz. He was a marketing manager.
Mr. Merrill was born Sept. 20, 1967, in Rochester, N.Y. He was married April 27, 1996, to Trisha (Oakley) Merrill.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Brandy and Tequila; his mother, Susan Merrill; his father and stepmother, William and Karen Merrill; a brother, Brian; and three sisters, Helene Merrill, Sara Pakkala and Stephanie Koehler.

Mrs. Chisman, 75, a lifelong Colorado Springs area resident, died Jan. 13, 2000, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a personnel manager at Hibbard's Department Store for 38 years.
Mrs. Chisman was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Calhan, to Ferris and Blanche Dobbins, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 9, 1943, to Wayne E. Chisman, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Larry W. and Edward M.; a sister, Hazel Miller; and six grandchildren.

JOHN F. KELLY
Mr. Kelly, 89, died Jan. 14, 2000, at a local care center. He was an instructor for Kelly's Driving Training School. He retired as a master sergeant in the Air Force after serving for 20 years.
Mr. Kelly was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Lewisburg, Ky., to Mooney and Ethel (Barrow) Kelly, who are deceased.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth and James B.; and a sister, Sara Perry.

Mrs. Cunningham, 51, died Jan. 14, 2000, at a local care center as a result of cancer. She was the director of the School Partnership Program at Pikes Peak Community College.
Mrs. Cunningham was born June 25, 1948, in Grand Island, Neb., to Raymond C. and Helen I. (Taylor) Pierson. Her father is deceased. She was married Dec. 28, 1970, to John A. Cunningham.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Mark S.; her mother; and a sister, Patricia Hanson.

Dennis, 32, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 13, 2000, in Reno, Nev. He was the western sales manager for Performance Radiator.
Dennis was born July 21, 1967, in South Bend, Ind., to Jay and Nancy Coakley. He was married Nov. 28, 1997, to Crystal Harms Edwards.
He is survived by his wife; his parents; and a sister, Danielle Hicks.

Mr. Martin was born April 6, 1941, in Colorado Springs.
He is survived by a brother, Richard Plush; and three sisters, Joan L. (Martin) Turbush, Germaine R. (Martin) Helm and Sandra K. (Martin) Harrison.

Mrs. King, 74, died Jan. 18, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a welder at Weston Instruments for 20 years.
Mrs. King was born July 18, 1925, in Elizabeth, N.J. She was married to Alfred King, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Marlane Reilly; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Nicholas, infant son of Solomon and Mary (Gulley) Armenta, died Jan. 17, 2000, at a local hospital.
Nicholas was born Jan. 16, 2000, in Colorado Springs.
He is survived by his parents; a brother, Christopher; and his grandparents, Pete and Mary Armenta.

MARY ELEANOR WILLIAMS
Mrs. Williams, 90, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 15, 2000, in Westminster. She did civil service clerical and accounting work at the Air Force Academy and Fort Carson.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 10, 1909, in Sturgis, Miss. She was married Oct. 4, 1932, to Ray Williams, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond Jr. and Lloyd; a brother, Edwin Quinn; a sister, Camilla Anthony; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

JOSEPH "JOE" DAVIS
Mr. Davis, 79, died Jan. 18, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He retired as the postmaster of Peyton and served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946 during World War II .
Mr. Davis was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Colorado. He was married to Ruth Painter.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard Daniel; four daughters, Sandra Lynne Davis, Karen Elaine Bailey, Kristi Jo Davis and Toni Denise Rizuto; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandchild.

FREDERICK W. DAVIS
Mr. Davis, 67, died Jan. 18, 2000, at a local care center, as a result of respiratory failure. He worked as an administrative clerk in civil service at Evans Hospital at Fort Carson from 1974 to 1992 and served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1970.
Mr. Davis was born June 22, 1932, in Johnson City, N.Y. He was married July 6, 1982, to Anita Hyland.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Glenn; a stepson, Sam Tulipana; five stepdaughters, Sharon Blakemore, Gloria McKinstry, Christine Yee, Mary Kelly and Elizabeth Hathoot; a sister, Sylvia Verno; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hernandez, 55, died Jan. 19, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He worked in construction.
Mr. Hernandez was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Benton, Ohio, to Antonio and Margaret (Sanchez) Hernandez, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 27, 1965, to Elodia Cuellar.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert Anthony and Steven Vinson; two daughters, Yvonne Krzywonski and Erika Vanessa Hernandez; two brothers, Tony and Ramiro; four sisters, Carmen Ramirez, Amelia Dominguez, Olga Martinez and Eloisa Torres; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Hinkle was born Feb. 23, 1940, in Waco, Texas, to Frank and Theresa Kubacak. Her father is deceased. She was married Dec. 25, 1964, to Morris E. Hinkle.

Miss Brand, 90, died Jan. 15, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a Spanish teacher in California and a missionary in South American.
Miss Brand was born July 27, 1909, in Peru.
She is survived by a nephew, Donald; and a niece, Beverly Doughty. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald.

Lois, 101, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died Jan. 19, 2000, at a Wheat Ridge hospital. She retired as head pottery etcher from Van Briggle Pottery after 53 years.
Lois was born Nov. 24, 1898, in Colorado Springs to Thomas and Ella (Whitney) Stark, who are deceased.
She is survived by three nephews, Kenneth Duncan, William Duncan and Richard Duncan; and two nieces, Elizabeth Sonnenberg and Ella Louise Trupp.
