Mr. Marquess was born May 9, 1927, in Medford, Ore., to Orville and Francis Marquess, who are deceased. He was married Jan. 17, 1963, to Shin K. Choi.

Mary, 70, a Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 3, 2000, in Memphis, Tenn. She was an EKG technician.

MILDRED LOUISE WAKE 
Mrs. Wake, 74, died Aug. 14, 2000, at a local care center. She retired as a sales clerk from May D & F. 
Mrs. Wake was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Chicago, to Columbus McDaniel and Roberta McDaniel Grant, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 26, 1943, to Fred Harold Wake Jr. 
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Fred H. III, John A. and Stephen J.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert G.; her stepfather, John Grant; and a sister.

FLOYD F. WOHLGEMUTH 
Mr. Wohlgemuth, 78, died Aug. 14, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired cabinet maker and served as corporal in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. 
Mr. Wohlgemuth was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Hillsboro, Kan. He was married to Ellen T. Lierle, who is deceased. He was then married Aug. 28, 1993, to Eunice P. Brown Thompson. 
He is survived by his wife; three sons, David Wohlgemuth, Duane Wohlgemuth and William Thompson; two daughters, Joyce Moberly and Cheryl Zemler; two brothers, Gordon and Milton; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

KENNETH CLEMENS 
Mr. Clemens, 85, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 14, 2000, in Thornton. He was a retired letter carrier and served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945. 
Mr. Clemens was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Ipava, Ill., to Harry and Nellie (Wilson) Clemens, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 11, 1933, to Jessie G. Edwards. 
He is survived by his wife; a son, Kenneth B.; a brother, Merle; a sister, Cedlia Dycus; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cedlia Ann; and two brothers, Edward and Floyde.

FRANKIE MAE MITCHELL 
Mrs. Mitchell, 73, died Aug. 11, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker. 
Mrs. Mitchell was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Harlem, Ga., to Claude Jennings and Viola Blunt, who are deceased. She was married June 18, 1955, to Kelly M. Mitchell, who is deceased. 
She is survived by a son, Kelly Miller Mitchell Jr.; and two sisters, Norma Henry and Virginia Jennings. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude F. Jennings and James Jennings; and two sisters, Martez Jennings and Allene Jennings.

Mr. Bealis, 55, died Aug. 15, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a musician. 
Mr. Bealis was born July 7, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Marianne (Vedegis) Bealis. His mother is deceased. 
He is survived by his companion of four years, Anne Driesbach; a daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Schell; his father; a brother, Richard; a sister, Barbara Gonzalez; and a grandchild.

ADRIAN L. ANGLIN JR. 
Mr. Anglin, 51, who lived in Monument for nearly two years, died Aug. 4, 2000, in Roanoke, Va. He was a real estate investor and had been disabled for the past several years. 
Mr. Anglin was born March 6, 1949, in Americus, Ga., to Mr. and Mrs. Adrian L. Anglin Sr., who are deceased. 
He is survived by a son, Adam T.; a brother, Joseph C. Hobbs; and a sister, Donna A. Moraco. 
A memorial service will be late this fall in Lumpkin, Ga., where he will be buried.

WILLIAM "BILL" MITCHELL 
Mr. Mitchell, 76, died Aug. 13, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He retired in 1985 as a civil service heating engineer from Fort Carson and he retired from the Navy. 
Mr. Mitchell was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to Edgar and Anna (Akins) Mitchell, who are deceased. He was married May 24, 1968, to Rose Wilcox. 
He is survived by his wife; and a sister, Ola Wilburn.

Adelaide, 90, died Aug. 12, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a registered nurse at Colorado Springs Medical Center. 
Adelaide was born Nov. 22, 1909, in Owensville, Mo., to Samuel F. Matthews and Nellie Hays, who are deceased.

HARRY C. BREITSTEIN 
Mr. Breitstein, 73, died Aug. 15, 2000, at a local care center. He retired as a medic from the Army and then was employed by U.S. Olympics as a security officer. 
Mr. Breitstein was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Baltimore, to Dr. Moses and Dorothy Lebenberg Breitstein, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 18, 1954, to Anne Kathana Toups. 
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert Charles and David E.; a daughter, Dorothy M. Reimold; a sister, Dorothy Newhoff; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Nelsen, 58, a Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 11, 2000, at a Sheridan, Wyo., hospital. He was a veterans employment counselor for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and served as captain in the Air Force from 1964 to 1968. 
Mr. Nelsen was born Sept. 5, 1941, in Omaha, Neb. He was married July 20, 1985, to Jean A. Fabac. 
He is survived by his wife; and other relatives in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Bonck, 56, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 8, 2000, in Garyville, La. He was an auto body technician.

Mr. Kobilan, 77, died Aug. 18, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a farmer and rancher, and a retired welder. 
Mr. Kobilan was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Calhan to John and Mary (Haver) Kobilan Sr., who are deceased. He was married Feb. 4, 1951, to Diana E. Klasna. 
He is survived by his wife; a son, Albert; three daughters, Janice E. Peterson, Patty D. Jolly and Maryellen J. Mitchell; a brother, George; a sister, Agnes Cirbo; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Monsees, 61, died Aug. 18, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired auto body repairman. 
Mr. Monsees was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Brighton, to Roy L. and Lucille Freitag Monsees. His father is deceased. He was married Sept. 3, 1965, to Georganna Metz. 
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Duane, David and Rusty; three daughters, Dianne Powell, Penny Everest and Kathy Welch; his mother; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim.

Mrs. Van Daam was born June 4, 1961, in Kingsport, Tenn., to Robert G. and Betty J. (Frye) Leonard. She was married to Michael Van Daam. 
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Brynn Bales, Devin Leonard and Heavin Van Daam; her parents; a brother, Robbie Leonard; and a sister, Donna Leonard.

KATHLEEN S. "KATHY" STROUD 
Mrs. Stroud, 61, died Aug. 17, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a medical assistant and nurse's aide. 
Mrs. Stroud was born June 8, 1939, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Patrick John and Sarah Anne (Bohan) Mohan, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 23, 1979, to Franklin E. Stroud, who is deceased. 
She is survived by two sons, William H.F. Broadhurst and David J. Broadhurst; two daughters, Patricia A. McEachron and Deborah J. Lee; a brother, Patrick J. Mohan; a sister, Mary Ann Mohan; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

CLEMENT O. BATALDEN 
Mr. Batalden, 94, a former Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 17, 2000, in Buffalo, Wyo. He was a farmer and former officeholder at the Austin Bluffs AARP. 
Mr. Batalden was born Nov. 9, 1905, in Lamberton, Minn., to Ole and Anna Batalden, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 14, 1933, to Margaret Brand, who is deceased. 
He is survived by two sons, Arlyn and David; two daughters, Mary Rishavy and Marilyn Batalden; a brother, Norris; a sister, Arlene Burbank; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Mr. Tafoya was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Tercio. He was married Jan. 31, 1947, to Ersie Serna. 
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard and Leonard J.; a daughter, Linda Dale; two brothers, Rudy and Joe; a sister, Sarah Miller; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two brothers, James Pacotti and Burdette Mullins; a sister, Patricia "Pat" Lloyd; a stepson, Jack Schwab; a stepdaughter, Sharon Loney; and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Pacotti; and a sister, Natalie Young.

FLORENCE A. (EWING) KELLEY 
Mrs. Kelley, 100, died Aug. 17, 2000, in Canon City. She was a homemaker. 
Mrs. Kelley was born Aug. 31, 1899, in Lexington, Okla. She was married Oct. 26, 1919, to Ray Kelley, who is deceased. 
She is survived by two sons, Fred and L.I.; a daughter, Lorene Coleman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Holt Family Funeral Home, 806 Macon Ave., Cañon City, (719) 275-4113. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holt Chapel of the Garden. Interment will be private. 

ROBERTA F. "BERT" HAIL 
Mrs. Hail, 58, died Aug. 18, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a secretary for the Gazette for 18 years. 
Mrs. Hail was born Sept. 15, 1941, in Seattle to Robert Lindsay and Florence Mosbrucker Harrell. Her father is deceased. She was married in July 1992 to Joseph Hail, who is deceased. 
She is survived by a son, Robert Carl; her mother; a sister, Barbara Gutierrez; and three grandchildren.  
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, 471-9900.
