a homemaker.
Mrs. Ripley was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Belmont, Mass., to Robert and
Agnes (Frawley) Crook, who are deceased. She was married June 22, 1941,
to Franklin T. "Rip" Ripley Sr., who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Franklin T. "Skip" Jr.; three daughters,
Alice Marie Ripley Johnson, Suzanne Giersch and Kimberley Ann Carpenter;
a sister, Eleanor Grace Crook; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Murray, 84, died June 1, 2000, at a local hospital as a result
of natural causes. He was a civil service maintenance worker. He retired
as a master sergeant from the Army after 20 years of service.
Mr. Murray was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Wetonka, S.D., to Grant Z. Murray
and Etna Belle Backous, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 28, 1939,
to Alice Hart.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jerold L. and Larry D.; a daughter,
Marjorie K. Hetzel; a brother, Orrin; two sisters, Ethel Backus and Agnes
Hopman; two half-sisters, Evelyn Wachter and Lucille Van Hunnik; seven
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

F. Byerly, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Tom and Stanley; a daughter, Linda Byerly
Walton; three stepsons, Hugh, Kenneth and Perry; a stepdaughter, Emma Jean
Harteis; a sister, Lola Gann; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by two brothers, Eugene Keith and Donald Keith; and a sister, Evelyn
M. Hayson.

Mr. McIntosh was born March 5, 1932, in Albany, N.Y., to Willard and
Catherine (Sanford) McIntosh, who are deceased. He was married March 31,
1956, to Mary E. Sanders.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Bob and Bill; a brother, Willard;
and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay;
and two sisters, Millie and Edna.

Mr. Davis, 72, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 22, 2000,
at a Pueblo hospital. He was a counselor at the Children's Asthmatic Hospital
in Denver. He later worked for the Florence School Districts. He served
in the Air Force from 1947 to 1952.
Mr. Davis was born Dec. 16, 1927, in Colorado Springs to Carl M. and
Anna P. Davis. He was married Jan. 19, 1967, to Arvilla G. Paquette, who
is deceased.
He is survived by two sisters, Clayta W. Wahl and Helen R. Davis; his
father; and his mother.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie; and a sister, Donna.
Mrs. Murphy graduated from Manitou Springs High School in 1957.
She was active in community affairs. She enjoyed the mountains, nature,
family and friends.
Mrs. Murphy had lived in Colorado Springs since 1954, previously living
in Texas.

Mrs. Webb is survived by a son, Steven H. of Colorado Springs; a brother,
Steve Shaw of Valley Centre, Calif.; two sisters, Laura Walker of Colorado
Springs and Genevive Rozar of Aguanga, Calif.; six grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded
in death by three brothers, Phil, Gordon "Buss" and George Shaw; a sister,
Sophie James; and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Hill.
She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1929.
Mrs. Webb was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado
Springs.
She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers, and always thought of others
first.
She was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs.

KENNETH E. SCOTT SR., 93, died May 1, 1997, at Simla Good Samaritan
Center. He was a farmer and rancher and also owned and operated the Kenneth
E. Scott trucking firm for 40 years in Kiowa.

Mr. Scott was born Sept. 15, 1903, in Carrollton, Mo., to John Michael
and Flora (Harris) Scott, who are deceased.
He was married Dec. 1, 1927, in Trinidad to Lyndall (Deming) Scott,
who is deceased.
Mr. Scott is survived by two sons, Larry of Elizabeth and Dr. James
A. of Great Falls, Mont.; a daughter, Mary Filson of Fort Collins; a sister-in-law,
Margaret Scott of Agate; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and
many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas
and Glenn; and a son, Kenneth Jr.
He was the chairman of the Elbert County Republican Party for 20 years.
He was an active member of the Elbert County and Colorado Farm Bureau from
1948 until his death. He was the former vice president of the Elbert County
Historical Society.
Mr. Scott was a lifelong community servant. He had lived in Kiowa since
1922.
