Mr. Zajic, 80, died July 13, 2000, at a local care center. He was a retired storekeeper and farmer. He also served in the Coast Guard for three years.
Mr. Zajic was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Red Cloud, Neb., to Vencil and Elizabeth Zajic, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 20, 1950, to Roene Avise, who is deceased.
He is survived by two daughters, Colleen Dalton and Connie Nipp; three sisters, Evelyn Sloan, Mildred Lattimer and Bernice Power; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arlin R. Messler
Mr. Messler, 76, died, July 13, 2000, at a local hospital. He was an owner and operator of Arlin Messler Realty. He also served in the Army for two years.
Mr. Messler was born March 18, 1924, in Shubert, Neb., to Orrie W. and Lola M. (Adams) Messler, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 6, 1943, to Ruth A. Neeld.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Linda K. Kunau and Sandra A. Messler; a brother, Jack; a sister, Ava Mae Albert; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. After the service, a reception will be at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum.

Margaret Calegar
Mrs. Calegar, 85, died July 12, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a restaurant hostess in Portland, Ore.
Mrs. Calegar was born May 16, 1915, in Nebraska City, Neb., to Albert J. and Lora E. (McQuinn) Leisle, who are deceased.
She is survived by a son, James P.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Service, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

Paul Louis Erb
Mr. Erb, 49, a former resident of Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, died July 12, 2000, in Lubbock, Texas, as a result of cancer after a long struggle with schizophrenia that led to a life of travel. He formerly owned The Junque Shop and Flatiron Sharpening in Boulder.
Mr. Erb was born Nov. 13, 1950, in Morristown, N.J., to Louis and Hazel (Black) Erb, who are deceased.
He is survived by two sisters, Eileen "Bunny" Routon and Mary Erb.
Graveside services were held in Lubbock. Brock's South Plains Funeral Directors, 1715 E. Broadway St., Lubbock, (806) 762-5474, handled arrangements.

Margo Lynne Townley Mcmichael
Mrs. McMichael, 50, died July 11, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McMichael was born Dec. 25, 1949, in Hastings, Neb., to J.R. and Jo Townley, who are deceased. She was married June 3, 1972, to Bill McMichael.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Megan; and two sisters, JoAnn Wasson and Suzanne Primuth.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906. Cremation is planned.

Jack Mcginley
Mr. McGinley, 67, died July 11, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a field service manager for Dayspring Greeting Cards Co. He also served in the Army.
Mr. McGinley was born June 5, 1933, in Chicago to Daniel E. and Mary (Wilson) McGinley, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 12, 1952, to Joan Alexander.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Brian and Keith; three daughters, Sue Penticoff, Karyn McGinley and Kathy McGinley; a brother, Dan; a sister, Sallie Ward; and four grandchildren.

Loretta M. "Pearl" Demasters
Mrs. DeMasters, 91, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died July 13, 2000, at a local care center. She was a film technician for Alexander Film Co.
Mrs. DeMasters was born Oct. 23, 1908, in Colorado Springs to William and Mary Cecelia (Harvey) Ferguson, who are deceased. She was married July 30, 1926, to Ralph L. DeMasters, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and Robert; a daughter, Therese Nicholson; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
A rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W. Kiowa St., with a memorial Mass at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.

DEBORAH A. (VON SEGGERN) CORMIER
Ms. Cormier, 50, died July 12, 2000, in Cañon City. 
Ms. Cormier was born May 17, 1950, at Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan, to Richard and Carole A. von Seggern. Her mother is deceased. 
She is survived by a son, Andrew; a sister, Cathy; and her father.

THOMAS M. BUTNER JR.
Mr. Butner, 75, died July 10, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired body shop manager. He served in the Army for four years and was a World War II veteran.
Mr. Butner was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Highland, Kan., to Thomas M. Butner and Lois L. Shaffer, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 10, 1950, to Doris Louise Morain.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert D. Whitworth, Tommy L. Butner, James S. Butner and Floyd M. Butner; four daughters, Hazel N. Paris, Dorothy R. Wilks, Georgia L. Leasure and Vicki L. Butner; three brothers, George, Charles and Roy; a sister, Laura; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda L. Baker, and a sister, Margaret Barry.

EVELYN F. SCHMIDT
Mrs. Schmidt, 71, died July 13, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired financial adviser for the Air Force Academy.
Mrs. Schmidt was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Chicago to Michael Novak and Lucille Wodaj, who are deceased. She was married May 4, 1972, to Dorman Schmidt.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, Frank Vej- rostek, Jim Vejrostek, Ron Vej-rostek and Chuck Vejrostek; a daughter, Marguerite Gonzalez; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

JUANITA MAE WEESNER
Mrs. Weesner, 88, died July 13, 2000, at home in Arvada. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Weesner was born March 30, 1912, in Cherry County, Neb., to Theodore and Bessie (Brannan) Vail, who are deceased. She was married May 26, 1933, to Orval Weesner, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin, Elden and Gordon; two daughters, Sharon Stitt and Norma Yoho; a sister, Lucille Wilson; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Vail.

MARGARET WALCH
Ms. Walch, 84, died July 13, 2000, of cancer in Colorado Springs. She was a beautician.
Ms. Walch was born June 24, 1916, in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Felix and Helena Walch, who are deceased.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Polly Walch; and companion, Rosemary Holbert.

RETIRED MASTER SGT. JAMES WHITE III
Master Sgt. White, 48, died July 13, 2000, at a local hospital. He served for 24 years in the Air Force.
Master Sgt. White was born June 2, 1952, in Memphis, Tenn., to James and Dorothy Mae White, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 18, 1978, to Kwi Young.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, James IV and Alexander; a daughter, Anna; four brothers, Robert, Michael, Reginald and Vincent; and a sister, Ola Mae McGee.

FRED "FRITZ" HOLLENDORFER
Mr. Hollendorfer, 80, died July 14, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel.
Mr. Hollendorfer was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Akron, Ohio, to Anton and Helena (Brandt) Hollendorfer. He was married March 10, 1945, to Della Babcock.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Frederick Clifton, Thomas David, John Jeffrey and Paul Andrew; a daughter, Mary Catherine Mandel; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Joel Steven.

ERLINDA L. WHITE
Mrs. White, 66, died July 14, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. White was born Jan. 18, 1934, in the Philippines to Marcelo and Isabel A. (Jocson) Liwanag. She was married May 16, 1957, to Emilio S. White Jr.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Richard L. and Roger L.; three daughters, Emilinda W. Advincula, Elizabeth W. Cruz and Eleanor W. Gacad; two brothers; three sisters; and nine grandchildren.

THOMAS LEE FINLEY
Mr. Finley, 41, died July 12, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was an animal farmer.
Mr. Finley was born Dec. 8, 1958, in Germany, to James and Crystal (Kretsch-mer) Finley. He married to Beverly Ann Kromberg in 1988.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Terry and Shawn; his parents; five brothers, Juergen, Herman, Thorsten "Muggy," Jesse and James; and a sister, Viola Giebel. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita A. Finley.

Mr. Gordon, 44, died July 12, 2000, in a house fire in Tecumseh, Okla. He was a former Colorado Springs resident, working as a foreman for Hurley-Miller Asphalt Co. He also served in the Navy.
Mr. Gordon was born Sept. 1, 1955, in Liberal, Kan.
He is survived by his parents, Dean Sr. and Nancy Gordon, and Betsy Gibler; a son, Robert James "Jake"; three daughters, Laura, Meghan, and Savannah; three brothers, Dean Gordon Jr., Al Gordon and J.R. Gibler; and nine sisters, Debbie VanDyne, Patty Richart, Jackie Burkholder, Susie Gordon, Brenda Trotter, Marlene Ritcheson, Devonna Goins, Donna Gibler and Terry Gibler.

Mr. Clark, 60, died July 9, 2000, in Boulder. He was a retired sheet metal worker.
Mr. Clark was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Monte Vista, to Glen and Marie Clark, who are deceased. He was married June 10, 1970, to Grace Marie Couch, who is deceased.
He is survived by two sons, Capt. Michael J. and Mark A.
