Mrs. Byron was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Cincinnati, to Kenneth and Kathryn (Dobbs) Hanson, who are deceased. She was married to William Francis Byron, who is deceased.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Board, Elizabeth B. Koehn and Mary K. Polley; a brother, Kenneth R. Hanson Jr.; and seven grandchildren.

BARBARA (HASFORD) BRISTOW
Mrs. Bristow, 60, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 23, 2000, at a Denver hospital. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bristow was born Dec. 27, 1939, in Bay City, Mich., to Buford and Dorothy Hasford, who are deceased. She was married July 9, 1966, to John "Jerry" Bristow, M.D.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, David and Danny; a sister, Judy Tuohy; and three grandchildren.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Montana.

SCOTT M. HAWLEY
Mr. Hawley, 38, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 27, 2000, in Fort Collins. He worked for Coca-Cola Distributors in Colorado Springs and for Ion Technologies in Fort Collins.
Mr. Hawley was born June 28, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. Donald L. and Barbara Hawley.
He is survived by his parents; and a sister, Sheryl Younkin.

Mrs. Schwindt, 87, a former longtime Peyton resident, died July 3, 2000, in Yuma, Ariz. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Schwindt was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Osborne County, Kan., to Walter and Audrey (Lindsey) Zion, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 8, 1940, to Fred Schwindt, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Saundra Anderson; a brother, Harold Zion; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

FRANK RONALD BRIGGS
Mr. Briggs, 69, a former longtime Colorado Springs resident, died June 20, 2000, in Gilbert, Ariz. as a result of cancer. He was a retired electrician and served in the Marine Corps. He was a Korean War veteran.
Mr. Briggs was born Dec. 20, 1930, in Chicago, to Myron and Eda Briggs, who are deceased. He was married Sept. 22, 1989, to Scarlett Scott.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Tom, Kenn and Randy; a daughter, Sally; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Long, 90, a former Colorado Springs resident, died July 5, 2000, at a Fort Collins hospital. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Long was born May 10, 1910, in Keystone, Neb., to Joe C. Oswald and Ina N. Dibble, who are deceased. She was married May 22, 1971, to Veldon O. Long, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Lawrence E.; a daughter, Karen Woolley; two stepsons, Gilbert V. and Terry; two stepdaughters, Sharon and Diane; a sister, Lois McKnight; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Titus, 48, died July 5, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He was self-employed at Titus Iron Studio.
Mr. Titus was born May 12, 1952, in Colorado Springs, to W.T. Titus and Thelma R. Kimberlin. His father is deceased. He was married Aug. 7, 1995, to Vicki L. Kimberlin.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Trent D. Torres; a daughter, Tamara L. Torres; his mother; two sisters, Sabra L. Chambers and Unis M. Burke; his grandmother, Edna Calvert; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Joshua; and his stepfather, Kirby Kimberlin.

MICHAEL J. ROMERO
Mr. Romero, 47, died July 5, 2000, in Colorado Springs. He served in the Marines for four years.
Mr. Romero was born June 14, 1953, in Pueblo, to Jake J. and Carmen Romero. He was married June 2, 1980, to Linda S. Aguilera.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Sonny, John and Bobby; a daughter, Loujuana Venzor; his parents; two brothers, David and Jake Jr.; four sisters, Margie Jenks, Helen Johnson, Betty Gorman and Verna Pritchard; and a grandchild.

ANN M. KIMBALL
Ann, 86, died July 5, 2000, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired license bureau coordinator for the State of New York.
Ann was born March 25, 1914, in Lester, Mass., to William and Margaret (Yesalunas) Ruskowski, who are deceased.
She is survived by a son, Richard; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Ruskowski, Pete Ruskowski and Bill Ruskowski; and a sister, Lillian Konski.

RAYMOND CUNHA
Retired Army Master Sgt. Cunha, 70, died July 6, 2000, at his home in Colorado Springs. He served in the Army for 28 years and was a tool machinist for Synthes in Monument.
Master Sgt. Cunha was born June 20, 1930, in Taunton, Mass. He was married June 8, 1950, to Kathy Anna Pfeiffer.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Wolfgang Pfeiffer, Karl Cunha and Raymond Cunha; two daughters, MaryAnn Olson and Cynthia Matthiesen; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Bezrutch, 80, died July 4, 2000, in Black Forest. He was a research scientist for the government and major corporations.
Mr. Bezrutch was born May 7, 1920, in Detroit to Stephen and Luella Motley Bezrutch, who are deceased.
He is survived by two sons, Bradley Scott and Stuart A.; a sister, Betty Sterling; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

NICOLE MEGAN YAGI
Nicole, 9, died July 5, 2000, in Castle Rock as a result of an automobile accident. She was a student at Foothills Elementary School.
Nicole was born Jan. 6, 1991, in Colorado Springs to Dennis and Jacqueline (Andaya) Yagi.
She is survived by her parents; her maternal grandparents, David Andaya and Rose Sameshim; her paternal grandmother, Misayo Yagi; and grandmother, Juneita Berry.

MADGE BERNADINE ELIZABETH "BUNNY" (WALLACE) CALDWELL
Mrs. Caldwell, 71, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 24, 2000, in Buena Vista. She was a homemaker and USO volunteer.
Mrs. Caldwell was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Louisville, Ky., to Grace and Lloyd Wallace, who are deceased. She was married June 15, 1949, to Harold E. "Red" Caldwell.
She is survived by her husband; six sons, Steven, Barry, Terry, Glenn, Rusty and Dr. Tim Caldwell; a daughter, Cindy Gilbert; two brothers, Patrick Wallace and Mike Wallace; three sisters, Ruth Fredericks, Mary Mattingly and Dorothy Gibson; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

RAY MATTHEW JOHNSON
Retired Sgt. 1st Class Johnson, 77, a former Colorado Springs resident, died July 5, 2000, of a stroke in Louisville, Ky. He served in the Army and was a chef.
Sgt. 1st Class Johnson was born April 10, 1923, in Pittsburgh to Ray and Agnes (Gray) Johnson. He was married July 3, 1948, to Bernice Harris.
He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Duffy Johnson, Karen Boman, Bernice Kellogg and Susan Sunaski; a brother, Harry; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kingsolver, 91, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, died July 6, 2000, at a local care center. He was a retired certified public accountant. He served in the Army for four years during World War II.
Mr. Kingsolver was born March 29, 1909, in Colorado Springs to Charles C. and Addie (Metzger) Kingsolver. He was married Sept. 23, 1939, to Hazel Bartimus. 
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Thomas L., James D. and Steven R.; two daughters, Jacquelyn Elliott and Joann Keuch; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson, 66, a Fountain Valley resident, died July 7, 2000, at a local care center. He was a retired driver for the Colorado Springs Coach Co. He was formerly a manager for the Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad in Woodward, Okla.
Mr. Johnson was born June 3, 1934, in Galesburg, Ill., to Carl V.R. and Bertha Kvistad Johnson. He was married Aug. 7, 1964, to Dolores Elaine Hadley.
He is survived by his wife and a sister, Marcia Lamkins.

Mr. Baker, 85, died July 6, 2000, at a local care center. He was a retired welder for The Broadmoor hotel. He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Baker was born April 5, 1915, in Almena, Kan., to Tilman and Delilah R. (Codner) Baker, who are deceased. He was married Oct. 11, 1969, to Dorothy H. Kowitz.
He is survived by his wife; two stepdaughters, Colleen Barksdale and Kathy Perkins; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
