BARBARA RUTH (JONES) KOPACZ
Mrs. Kopacz, 67, died March 3, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Kopacz was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Methuen, Mass., to Frank and Ethel (Dow) Jones, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 15, 1953, to Stephen R.J. "Bob" Kopacz.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Stephen, Douglas and Dale; a daughter, Debra Williams; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis "Bud"; and four sisters, Shirley, Ethel, Mary and Beatrice.

TOBE PIPPIN PIERCE
Mrs. Pierce, 45, died March 2, 2001, at a local care center as a result of cancer. She was an office manager at Two Men and a Truck.
Mrs. Pierce was born Nov. 11, 1955, in Seminole, Texas, to Tobe and Eugene Rhea, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 7, 1999, to Stephen Pierce.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Kelly Pippen, of Norwood, Mo., Timothy Pippen, of Norwood and Billy Pippen, of Ozark, Mo.; a sister, Debra Morton, of Gainesville, Mo.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

FRANKIE JO GRAHAM
Mrs. Graham, 73, died March 6, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Graham was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Temperance Hall, Tenn., to John Robert and Buena Mae (Evans) Reynolds, who are deceased. She was married Feb. 10, 1951, to Jay Victor Graham, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Gregg and David; a daughter, Deborah Vigil; three sisters, Ola Mai Givans, Georgia Reynolds and Mildred Zateslo; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence Reynolds, Fred Reynolds, William Reynolds and Paul Reynolds.

MASTER SGT. BRIAN LOOK
Master Sgt. Look, 39, a Colorado Springs resident, died March 3, 2001, in Las Vegas. He served in the Army, 10th Special Forces Group (airborne), since 1980.
Master Sgt. Look was born Sept. 15, 1961, in Rockledge, Fla.
He is survived by a son, Eric, of East Falmouth, Mass.; a daughter, Courtney, of East Falmouth; his mother, Mary Ellen Look, of North Andover, Mass.; his father and stepmother, Robert W. and Sandra Look, of Coral Springs, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert W. Jr. and Jessica Look, of Lynnfield, Mass.; a sister and brother-in-law, Allison and Kenneth Mundry, of Salem, N.H.; his fiancée, Gina Perez, of Colorado Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brewer, 88, died March 3, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brewer was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Springfield, Mo. She was married to Melvin E. Brewer, who is deceased.

RODRICK JAY LINDER
Mr. Linder, 44, died Feb. 11, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He worked in construction.
Mr. Linder was born July 20, 1946, in Broken Bow, Neb., to William Glen Linder Jr. and Marydean (Brindell) Linder. His mother is deceased.
He is survived by two daughters, Lacey DeLisle and Leah Elizabeth; his father; and a sister, Rebel Lee Rush. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Glen.

CATHERINE LOUISE McALLISTER
Mrs. McAllister, 87, a Green Mountain Falls resident, died March 4, 2001, in Denver. She was a school teacher for Cheyenne Mountain School District for 25 years and a town trustee for Green Mountain Falls in the 1970s.
Mrs. McAllister was born July 6, 1913, in Alamosa, to Louis B. and Carrie C. Swisher Olsen, who are deceased. She was married June 6, 1941, to A.G. McAllister, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Robin; a daughter, Margie Schlaufman; and a grandchild.

MARVIN M. LAWSON
Mr. Lawson, 79, died March 3, 2001, in Cañon City. He was a pipe fitter for a refinery. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946.
Mr. Lawson was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Stockton, Kan., to John Lawson Jr. and Gladys Whittle, who are deceased. He was married March 9, 1999, to Joan Arlene Babinsky.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, John, of Spokane, Wash. and Michael, of Hutchinson, Kan.; two daughters, Lana Myers and Kim Jones, both of Beloit, Kan.; a stepson, Stephen Bell, of Colorado Springs; a stepdaughter, Lisa Pond, of Cañon City; two brothers, Kenton and Jack; numerous grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Irma, 68, died March 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She worked in food service at Peterson Air Force Base and Comcor.
Irma was born March 15, 1932, in Denver, to Orville G. and Helen Wood Lawless, who are deceased.
She is survived by her common-law husband of 16 years, Jack H. Lees Jr.; a daughter, Beth Ann Meyers, Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Samuel Lawless, Mesquite, Texas; two sisters, Blanche Lambert, of Grand Junction and Kay Clark, Trenton, Mo.; a grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Egley.

Mrs. Kelly, 79, died March 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She worked in the housekeeping department at Penrose Hospital.
Mrs. Kelly was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Dawson, N.M., to Joe and Filomena (Gabrielle) Nardini, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 10, 1940, to Thomas P. Kelly Sr.
She is survived by her husband; and a son, Thomas P. Jr. She was preceded in death by a son, John F.; a brother, Alex Nardini; and a sister, Inez Bratovich.

Lucille, 93, died March 8, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker and former secretary for the University of Cincinnati.
Lucille was born Feb. 10, 1908, in Cincinnati, to George Christian and Anna (Fischer) Voll, who are deceased. She was married June 5, 1930, to Erwin E. Horwarth, who is deceased. She was then married Oct. 23, 1954, to David S. Maitland, who is deceased.
She is survived by her companion, retired Col. W.B. Offutt, USAF; a daughter, Gayle Emmons; a son-in-law, Robert Emmons; a grandson and his wife, Martin and Jill Emmons; a granddaughter and her husband, Erin and Tom Cook; and two great-granddaughters, Abigail Cook and Marianna Cook.

Helen, 88, died March 7, 2001, at a local care center. She retired from civil service as a rural mail carrier and was a homemaker.
Helen was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Albano, to Carl K. and Lillie E. (Miller) Weissenfluh, who are deceased.
She is survived by a son, Gary M.; a sister, Bertha Kenny; two grandsons, Michael R. and Mark R.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Spencer K.; five brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Mitchell R.

DOROTHY C. HOFFMANN
Mrs. Hoffmann, 98, died March 8, 2001, at a local care center. She retired from a 29 year career with the County Extension Agent's Office and various Government Bureaus in Amarillo, Texas, and Ent Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1921.
Mrs. Hoffmann was born Aug. 30, 1902, in Colorado Springs, to William and Elizabeth (Buchsbaum) Crump, who are deceased.
She was married to Robert M. Fraser, who is deceased. She was then married to J. Karl Hoffmann, who is deceased.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Norma Fraser, of Colorado Springs; a cousin, Stanley Griffiths, of California; two grandsons, Steven Fraser, of Westminster, and Scott Fraser, of Fountain; five great-grandchildren, Tommy Pons, Michael Fraser, Amanda Fraser, Michelle Fraser and Chase Fraser; and a great-great-granddaughter, Angelina Terry-Pons. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Fraser; and two sisters, Elizabeth Traylor and Lillian Montgomery.

JEFFREY LYNN STRAIGHT
Mr. Straight, 47, a Divide resident, died March 7, 2001, in Denver as a result of a construction accident. He was a commercial pipe fitter and served in the Army for two years.
Mr. Straight was born June 23, 1953, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Clyde Straight and Bonnie Fries.
He was married June 24, 1983, to Wendy Stinson.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Scott Bartlett; a daughter, Michelle Glynn; a son-in-law, Matt Glynn; his father; his mother; two sisters, Sue Stamp and Shelly Weiger; his grandmother, Doris Maag; and two grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather Saturday for an informal memorial service at Lost Dutchman Creek at Trout Haven, Divide.

RETIRED CHIEF MASTER SGT. PAUL W. PARDUN
Mr. Pardun, 78, died March 9, 2001, at a local care center. He was a retired accountant and also retired from the Air Force after 31 years of service, attaining the rank of chief master sergeant.
Mr. Pardun was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Adel, Iowa, to Willard A. and Mildred E. (Book) Pardun, who are deceased. He was married to M. Alene McGregor, who is deceased. He was then married June 14, 1985, to Norma F. Hale.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert D.; two daughters, Charlene S. Lucht and Pamela L. Major; two brothers, Orin and Gary; two sisters, Phyllis Naeve and Dorothy Jean Gandy; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bert.

Mrs. Jones, 82, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died March 9, 2001, in Littleton. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Jones was born April 14, 1918, in Colorado Springs to Russel O. and Mabel F. (Barney) Mathis, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 1, 1939, to E.A. Jones, who is deceased.

Mr. Rehfeld was born July 6, 1954, in San Diego, Calif., to Ernest A. and Lillian (Trojanovich) Rehfeld.

Mrs. Edwards, 81, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, died March 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired professional secretary from Colorado Interstate Gas.
Mrs. Edwards was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Colorado Springs to Victor E. and Aletha M. (Miller) Suvanto, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 26, 1972, to R. Douglas Edwards, who is deceased.
She is survived by two step-sons, Ron of Boise, Idaho, and Mark of Mesa, Ariz.; a step-daughter, Beverly Anderson of Cypress, Texas; three cousins, Norval "Dee" Miller Jr. of Colorado Springs, Sharon Silverson of Tularosa, N.M., and Terry Rambo of Vietnam; an aunt, Dorothy M. Mrs. Greiner was born June 3, 1921, in Colorado Springs to Forest Claude and Effie (Jones) Acker, who are deceased. She was married Sept 27, 1943, to Dr. David J. Greiner, MD.

Mr. Klassen, 93, died March 3, 2001, at a local care center. He sold real estate and insurance in Wichita, Kan., for 40 years, then moved to Aurora.
Mr. Klassen was born July 2, 1907, in Inman, Kan. He was married in 1930 to Rose B. Hiebert, who is deceased.
He is survived by two sons, James of Seattle, Wash., and Jarel of Woodland Park; a brother, Elias of Inman, Kan.; two sisters, Kathryn Willems of McPherson, Kan., and Lynda Goertzen of Buhler; Kan.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Fayne Leroy; and a sister, Edna Ediger.

DONALD L. "DON" POWELL
Mr. Powell, 67, a Fountain resident, died March 8, 2001, at a local care center. He retired after 46 years as an electrician and also retired from the Fountain Voluntary Fire Department. He served two terms on the Fountain City Council and also served two years in the Army.
Mr. Powell was born June 16, 1933, in Oberlin, Kan., to Glenn A. and Myrtle R. (Peterson) Powell, who are deceased. He was married May 31, 1953, to Ruth Keys.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Sam and Brett; three brothers, Jack E., Darell L., and Gary D.; two sisters, Ruth Ann Gaston and Ruby Kelling; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son,Donald G.

Mr. Shepard, 69, died March 7, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He retired as 100 percent disabled from the Army after 24 years of service and volunteered for the Colorado Springs Police Department Handicap Unit for 10 years.
Mr. Shepard was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Friend, Neb., to Ernest and Florence Shepard, who are deceased. He was married Feb. 7, 1965, to Lena Brownfield.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Ryan J.; two daughters, Connie M. Rogers and Jodi L. Shepard; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl; and a sister, Irene Carroll.
