He died at his home in Big Bear City March 7, and was a carpet layer there.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Hubbard; two children, Michael and Christina; his mother, Dorothy Hubbard of Downey; a brother, Jay Bowman of Delta, Colorado; and a sister, Linda Keehn of Springfield, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daryl, who died in February 1998.
He was laid to rest beside his brother, Daryl.
She was 91, born in Rock Island, Illinois, and died March 5 at her home. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Church in Maywood, the St. Rose of Lima Women's Club, and the Cudahy Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth D. Burton of Maywood; her daughter, Jackie J. Spencer of Santa Barbara; grandchildren Deborah, Sandra, Steven, Kenneth, Mary (deceased), Jeanne Marie, Susan and Kathleen.
Father George Duran officiated. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
He was 66, and was a retired employee of Rockwell International for whom he worked for 37 years. He was an active contributor to his church and community, and was a member of the Downey Elks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel; three children and their spouses, Ophelia and Carlos, Steve and Cindea, and Rick and Karen; eight grandchildren, Leanna, Renee, Carly, Jacob, James, Karen, Katherine and Gary.

He was a graduate of USC where he received his civil engineering degree. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knute Rockne Council No. 3697 Knights of Columbus, was a past president of the Columbus Club of Downey, a member of the Downey Design Review Board, and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
He served in the Army Air Corps as a weather observer from 1943 until 1946, and was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves from which he retired as a captain.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Downey; a son, Michael (Betsy) of West Linn, Oregon; a daughter, Noreen Bradley (Jim) of Placentia; and four grandchildren.
Pastor Rev. John Maloney officiated. Burial is today (Friday, March
12) at 10:30 a.m. in Riverside National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the
Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
