Joseph A. Matusevich Mass Monday, Oct. 26

SOUTH GATE-A Memorial Mass will be heard at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 at St. Helen Catholic Church in South Gate, for Joseph Anthony Matusevich, a 53-year South Gate resident, who died Oct. 20 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was 82, born in Travis, Staten Island, New York, and was a machinist for 40 years for the Notthoff Tool Co. in Huntington Park.

He was a member of the Downey Knights of Columbus Council 3697.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son, Allan J. Matusevich of Makaha, Hawaii; a brother, John Matusevich; sisters Polly Choban and Jeannette Wisinski, both of New York, and Sophie Highan of New Jersey.

The Rev. Father Jerome Bouska, Pastor, will officiate. Arrangements are by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.

Friends, family mourn George Donatelli at 75

DOWNEY-Services were held Friday, Oct. 16, at St. Raymond's Catholic Church for George Donatelli, a longtime Downey resident, who died Oct. 12 at Downey Community Hospital.

Born in Italy, he was 75 and was an entrepreneur of G & D Body and Fender. He was a member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army and World War II.

Survivors include his son, Michael; a daughter, Susan; and three grandchildren, Michal, Nicholas and Chadia.

Father Steve Davoren officiated. Burial followed at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
