He was 86, born May 8, 1911 in Buchanan County, Missouri.
He came to California as a young man and worked for GTE until transferring to Wisconsin in 1967. He retired in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Elna Marie; four daughters, Denise (Woody) Roe of California, Gena (Troy) Spears of Texas, Irene (Jim) Munger of Colorado, and Virginia Gibson of California; a son, Mark (Lisa) Gibson of California; a stepdaughter, Vickie (Mark) Crumley of California; a sister, Mary Jane Daniels of Missouri; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Nov. 13 at the Winn Funeral Home in Waunakee, the Rev. Alan Altmann officiating. Burial was at Silver Lake Cemetery in Portage.
She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Jan. 20, 1913 and was 84. She was a naturalized citizen of the U.S., a homemaker, and member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Estaban R. Barrera; a daughter, Julie, and siblings Eva and Sostenes.
Survivors include her daughter, Blanca; sons Terry and Sal; grandchildren Brooke, Shelly, Joey, Mark, Steve, Richard, Patrick; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Vigil and Rosary were held Monday, Dec. 22, at Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel.
Burial was at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach. Arrangements were by
the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
