LINDERMAN MEMORIAL SET FOR TOMORROW
Sevices for retired Navy Lt. Cmdr. Francis M. Linderman, 81, of East San
Diego, will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Greenwood Mortuary. Burial will be at
Greenwood Memorial Park.
Cmdr. Linderman was born in Kansas and had been a county resident for 50
years. He died Friday at a hospital.
He ended a 31-year career in the Navy in 1960 and was a member of Masonic
Lodge 657 and the San Diego Scottish Rite Bodies.
Survivors include his wife, Ette; a son, Francis of Lemon Grove; a
daughter, Shirley Crawford of San Diego; five grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.
The family suggested donations to the American Cancer Society.

ROBERT J. READ
Services for Robert J. Read, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood
Mortuary. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Read, an Old Town resident, died Sunday in a hospital.
He was born in Minnesota and had lived in the county 24 years. He was a
carpenter for 48 years and a member of the Carpenters Local 1571.
Surviving are son, Robert of San Marcos; five daughters, including Gail,
Barbara, Lee Bailey and Roberta Bradbury, all of San Diego; a sister; and
13 grandchildren.

JOSEPH A. HOLDER
Joseph A. Holder, 75, a retired printer, was buried Friday in New Jersey.
He died June 14 in a San Diego hospital.
Am Isreal Mortuary handled arrangements.
Mr. Holder was born in New York City, had lived in San Diego six years and
was a Grantville resident and a member of Tifereth Israel Synagogue. He
worked in New York and Connecticut as a printer for 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; a daughter, Frances Reichbart of Del
Cerro; and three grandchildren.
The family suggested contributions to the Heart Association or Tifereth
Israel Synagogue.

ROSE A. WALSH
A Mass for Rose A. Walsh, 74, owner of Rose's Beauty Shop in Pacific
Beach, will be said at 2 p.m. tomorrow in St. Brigid's Roman Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at El Camino Memorial Park.
Mrs. Welsh, a Pacific Beach resident, died Thrusday in Utah after an
auto-moblie accident.
She was born in Canada and had lived in the county 27 years.
Surviving are two sons, 11 gradchildren, four sisters and five brothers.

MAYFIELD --William L. II, 40 of North Park passed away Feb. 28, 1990 at a
local hospital after long illness. Survived by his mother Martha Mayfield

REITER --Kenneth L., died Feb. 15, 1990. He retired from Western Electric,
Hawthorne Plant, Cicero, Illinois. Husband of Jean. Father of Glenn &
daughter Charlotte Melter, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Mr.
Reiter was an avid Ham Radio Operator, a Charter member and in 1958 was one
of 10 founders of "Breadfast Club" on 3.973 MHZ in Illinois. He was also a
memnber of the Convair and North Shores Ham Radio Clubs in San Diego.
Member of Telephone Pioneers of America, De Anza Chapter #68, Eagle Arie
#241, Staltar Club, and Mended Hearts Inc. Chapter #62. Memorial Mass will

CATHERINE MULLEN SERVICES SET FOR THURSDAY
Rosary for Mrs. Catherine Mullen, 70, of 4365 Wilson Ave., will be at 8
p.m. tomorrow in Lewis Colonial Mortuary.
Requiem Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Didacus Church. Burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Mullen a resident here 10 years, died yesterday. She was born in
Nebraska.
Survivors include her husband, Frank, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Henry, of
San Diego.
 

CHARLES BROWARD
Services for Charles Broward, 77, of 901 Seventh Ave., will be at 11:30
a.m. tomorrow in Bonham Brothers Mortuary. Entombment will be in Greenwood
Mausoleum.
Mr. Broward, former owner of the King George Hotel, had lived here since
1930.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Powers, a son, L. L. Broward,
both of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother and a sister.

MRS. MARGARET CAMPBELL
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Memorial Park
for Mrs. Margaret Campbell, 41, of 3681 Ray St., owner of the Child Care
Registry here. She died Sunday.
Mrs. Campbell, a former Greeley, Colo., school teacher, who held degrees
from Hanover University and Colorado State Teachers College, directed child
care registration here in World War II for the Federal Government, later
for the State and City. She operated a private agency at the time of her
death.
She was a member of San Diego Branch, American Association of University
Women; Phi Mu Sorority and Phi Mu Alumni Association and the San Diego
Institute of Religious Science, and had been active in P.T.A. work here.
Servivors are a son, John S. Campbell, and a brother, Robert C. Galbreath,
of San Diego.

CLARENCE H. BROWN
Private rites for Clarence H. Brown, 75, of 4493 38th St., will be at
10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Johnson-Saum Mortuary. Cremation will follow. The
family asks that flowers be omitted.
Mr. Brown, a retired advertising salesman who moved here six years ago,
died Sunday.
Survivors include his wife, Ola, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Johnson, of the
local address.

MRS. MARY E. NELSON
Rosary will be recited at 7 tonight in Goodbody's Ivy Chapel for Mrs. Mary
E. Nelson, 68, of 509 12th Ave. She died Sunday.
Requiem Mass will be said at 8 a.m. tomorrow in St. Joseph's Cathedral.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, William McMullen, and a brother, Harold Coburn,
of San Diego. Mrs. Nelson had lived here 24 years.

MRS. COLLEEN KILAND
Mrs. Colleen Kiland died today in a hospital. Her son is Vice Adm. I. N.
Kiland, of 973 Alameda Blvd., Coronado. Arrangements are pending at Bonham
Brothers Mortuary.

JAMES H. ROTHWELL
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Lewis Colonial Mortuary for James
H. Rothwell, 88, of 4627 33rd St. He died Friday in Salt Lake City.

M.S. MONTELIONE
The rosary will be recited for Matthew S. Montelione, 62, of 5445 Waring
Road, at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church in
Allied Gardens.
A Mass will be said at the church at 9 a.m. Monday.
Mr. Montelione, who died Wednesday in a hospital, will be entombed in Holy
Cross Mausoleum.
Mr. Montelione was a machanic. He was a native of Wisconsin and lived in
the county 25 years. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and the House of
Italy in Balboa Park.
A widower, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann and Carol J.; a son,
John D. Skworch; three sisters, including Ann Painter and Antoinette
Jerfita; a brother; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

CAMILLO FUNERAL PLANNED
Graveside services for Emily Camillo will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at
El Camino Memorial Park. She died Thursday in a convalescent hospital.
Mrs. Camillo, 79, of 5437 Arizona Ave., La Mesa, was a resident of the
county 52 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Diego and was active
in the PTA in the Kensington area.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Holden of La Mesa and Phillip Holden of
El Cajon; a daughter; and five grandchildren.

RUSSELL MANLEY
La Mesa -- Services for Russell Manley, a civilian Navy employee, will be
held at 4 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church, followed by
cremation with ashes scattered at sea.
Mr. Manley, 69, of 6020 Sinton Place, died yesterday at his home. A native
of Kansas, he had lived here 25 years.
He was a member of the American Society for Training and Development, Phi
Delta Kappa and the United Nations Association.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters Mary Sue and Barbara
Haughey; and three grandchildren.

She was the daughter of Elizabeth Holmon and sister of Ellen Davis both of

of the El Cajon Republican Women's Club and was an avid Bridge Player.
Martha met her husband during her 10 years in the Foreign Service and
continued to live overseas with her husband for another 15 yrs., prior to
returning to San Diego county in 1985. Visitation will be held at the
Lakeside-Santee Funeral Chapel from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 7th. Graveside
Services will be held 10 a.m. Sat. Aug. 8th. Glen Abbey Memorial Park.

GRAY --Imogene D., 50 yr San Diego County resident, died Aug. 5, 1992 age
75. Survived by son Jim Gray of Ramona, brother Guy Roy & sister Evelyn
