Martha Rice Chandler, 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in a local hospital.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Marion Rice of Palm Bay, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Mae Rice of Texarkana; one niece, Charlotte Humphrey of Texarkana; and two nephews, Joe Rice of Texarkana and Don Kendall of Redwater, Texas.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Rondo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Clarice Stout Fricks, 74, of Houston died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in Houston.
Mrs. Fricks was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Bethel Springs, Tenn.
Survivors include her former husband, Louis R. Fricks of Wake Village, Texas; one daughter, Debra L. Fricks of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
PRESCOTT, Ark.-Lawrence Dale Ellis, 90, of Prescott died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in Prescott.
Mr. Ellis was born Nov. 7, 1909, in Sutton, Ark. He was a tree farmer and a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ara Dillard Ellis, and one son, Ralph Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Ellis of Prescott; two sons and daughters-in-law, Deral "Dodie" and Mary Margaret Ellis of Laneburg, Ark., and Robert and Gloria Ellis of Sutton; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Wayne Langston of Prescott; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Bluff Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Arlis East and Ed Phillips officiaitng. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery under direction of Shackelford Funeral Home.
Geneva Stipp Moore, 83, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in an Atlanta, Texas, nursing home.
Mrs. Moore was born March 8, 1917, in Texarkana. She was a homemaker and a member of Eylau United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marcellus Edwin Stipp and Max Lee Moore.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, LaJuana and Bobby Allday of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, C.W. and Mary Frances Durham; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Katherine and Rick Stubbs; one grandson, Rob Allday; four great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Graveside services will be noon today at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Bunch officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Eylau Methodist Church Building Fund.
PRESCOTT, Ark.-Mary M. Bailey, 89, of Prescott died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, in a Hope, Ark., hospital.
Survivors include one brother, George McGraw II of Texarkana; one sister, Martha Richardson of Prescott; one half-sister, Earlene Powell of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at St. James AME Church, Stephens, with the Rev. Ricky Joe officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
HOPE, Ark.-Jewell Darlene Everett of Dallas died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in Dallas.

HOPE, Ark.-Faye Hill, 79, of Hope died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, in a local hospital.
Survivors include one sister, Sybil Griffith of Hope; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
El DORADO, Ark.-Ruby Della Bolton, 96, of Huttig, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Bolton was born Aug. 27, 1904, in Archer, La. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.G. Bolton, and a son, Herbert Weatherford Bolton.
Survivors include two sons, A.G. Bolton Jr. of Paris, Texas, and Hercey D. Bolton of Tomball, Texas; two daughters, Ann Bailey of Pasadena, Texas, and Anita Arrant of Atlanta, Texas; one sister, Velma Mae Ethridge of Pasadena; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Huttig, with the Rev. Lawrence Harrison officiatng. Burial will be in Harper Springs Cemetery under direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Ida Bell Pegue, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Pegue was born Dec. 13, 1911, in Texarkana. She was a domestic worker and a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Rosie Lee; and a number of nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Keener officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
CLARKSVILLE, Texas-Nonette Hammett, 70, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hammett was born March 10, 1930, in Pine Springs community, Bowie County, Texas. She was a retired nurse and a member of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Royce D. Hammett of Clarksville; three sons, Royce Hammett Jr. of Roundrock, Texas, Ryan Hammett and Ronnie Hammett of Clarksville; two sisters, Louise Murphy of Odessa, Texas, and Claudine Bohlar of West Columbia, Texas; three brothers, Larry Smith of Idabel, Okla., Earl Smith of DeKalb, Texas, and Majel Smith of Andrews, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Pine Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Cossett officiating. Burial will be under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Ozie Cook, 92, of Dallas died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, in a Dallas hospital.
Mrs. Cook was born Nov. 22, 1907, in Jefferson, Texas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Clurie Cook of Dallas; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Leory Little of Jasper, Texas; three sisters, Blumer West of Pittsburg, Texas, Lizzie Criss of Los Angeles and Lillie Bell Sims of Tyler, Texas; five brothers, B.C. Criss and Wilburn Criss of Tyler, Emmettie Criss of El Paso, Texas, Henry Criss of Fort Worth, Texas, and William Criss of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Center Point Baptist Church, Pittsburg, with the Rev. Valanderous Bell officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery under direction of Reeder Davis Funeral Home
Geneva Ivery, 80, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Ivery was born July 23, 1920, in Index, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Goldpoint Baptist Church and the usher board.
Survivors include one son, Robert L. Brock of Texarkana; two stepsons, Roy Brown of Texarkana and Lonzo Ivery of Dallas; two daughters, Betty Jean Franks and Thelma Williams of Texarkana; one uncle, Tommie Lovett of Texarkana; one cousin, John Henry Lovett of Texarkana; three granddaughters, Kowanna Strickland, Renea Porter and La Sonya Hill of Texarkana; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon today at Goldpoint Baptist Church with the Rev. Corinthan LaMay officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
