Bobbie Jean Carr 
Bobbie Jean Carr, 70, of Paragould died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. 
She was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Greene County. She was a homemaker and member of 10th Street Baptist Church in Paragould. 
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Joe Carr; and her parents, Roosevelt and Maude Jones Blackburn. 
Survivors include her husband, Earl Carr of Paragould; two sons, Barry Carr of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Ronnie Carr of Cabot; a daughter, Debbie Slover of St. Charles, Mo.; two brothers, Danny Blackburn of St. Louis, Mo., and Kenneth Blackburn of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a sister, Verna Eldridge of Benton Harbor, Mich.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with the Revs. Freddie Jones and Jack Bearden officiating. Burial will be at Finch Cemetery. 
Pallbearers will be Hershel Emmert, Jim Biggs, Darrell Rowland, Don Slover, Wayne Carr and Larry Carr. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home. 

Mary Cordelia Riggs 
Mary Cordelia Riggs, 80, of Paragould died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. 
She was born April 20, 1920, in Lake City. She was a homemaker and member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lester. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Roxie Deloris Cavins McCartney. 
Survivors include her husband, Herman Marion Riggs of Paragould; two sons, Michael Riggs of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert W. "Bob" Riggs of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Barbara Cox and Jean Edwards, both of Paragold and Patti Hale of Burdette; a sister, Mildred Wood of Lake City; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with the Rev. Godfrey Endicott officiating. Burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home. 

P.C. Routon 
P.C. Routon, 76, of Marmaduke died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. 
He was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Pottsville. He was a retired farmer and World War II Navy veteran. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Pearl Routon; a son, Tommy Routon; two brothers, Buck Routon and Paul Routon; and three sisters, Ethel Mallett, Beatrice Gibson and Thelma Snider. 
Survivors include his wife, Lola Routon of the home; three sons, Ralph Routon of Paragould, Mike Routon of Petal, Miss., and Dennis Routon of Lafe; two daughters, Judy Routon of Paragould and Connie Collier of San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, Donald Routon of Paragould, Bob Routon of Leachville, Jerry Routon of Phoenix, Ariz., and Eugene Routon of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Donnie Hall of Lepanto; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. 
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Raymond Routon officiating. Burial will be at Brown's Chapel Cemetery.

Lucille Eastin, 79, of Paragould died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at her residence. 
She was born April 6, 1921, in Rector. She was retired from Ely and Walker Shirt Factory and a member of 10th Street Missionary Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eastin; her parents, Lucien and Nellie Massey Groom; and a sister, Lorene Cate. 
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dinah and Claude Greer of Paragould; two sisters, Garnell Koller and Willodean Thompson, both of Bridgeton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jason Greer, Nathan Greer, and Devon Greer, all of Paragould; three nieces, Sue Watson, Janet Koller and Patricia Mackey. 
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Waymon Holt and Jack Bearden officiating. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery.

Doll L. England 
Doll L. England, 88, of Paragould died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. 
She was born March 6, 1912, in Paragould. She was a homemaker and member of First Freewill Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Randel England; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Lenington; a brother, Russell Lenington; and a sister, Tootsie Ray. 
Survivors include two sons, Gaylen England of Paragould and David England of Russellville; two daughters, Toni Henderson of Paragould and Jacquelyn Mathieu of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild.

Sammy Lee Pentecost 
Sammy Lee Pentecost, 51, of Marmaduke died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at V.A. Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. 
He was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Rector. He was the assistant manager of Family Dollar Store. He was also an Army and Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lee and Mary Ellen Smith Pentecost; and two brothers, Dennis Pentecost and Johnny Pentecost. 
Survivors include his wife, Becky Pentecost of the home; a son, Sammy Lee Pentecost Jr., of the home; three daughters, Jessica Elaine, Jennifer Lynn, and Amber Michelle Pentecost, all of the home; and two brothers, Jimmie Curtis of Corning and Harold Hickman of Knobel. 
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Brother Humphreys officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Waco Hester, 83, of Paragould died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn. 
He was born May 28, 1917, in Greene County. He was a retired farmer and member of Alexander Baptist Church. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Hester; a son, Bill Hester; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Hester; and a grandson, Mike McCarroll. 
Survivors include his wife, Berenice Nettles Hester of Paragould; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Sue Hester of Paragould; a daughter and son-in-law, Waca Lou and Gary McCarroll of Paragould; five grandchildren, Anita Rowe, Scott Hester, and Michele Gramling, all of Paragould, Vicky Yarbrough of Austin, Texas and Kim Rodgers of Nashville, Tenn.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Darrell Jones, 60, of Hughes, formerly of Rector died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at his residence. 
He was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Greene County. He was a mechanic and owner of Ed's Boat Camp in Hughes. He was also a member of the Marmaduke Church of Christ. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noey Allen and Goldie Ina Thomason Jones; two sons, Michael D. Jones and Kenneth D. Jones Jr.; a brother, Larry Earl Jones; and two sisters, Maxine Sosa and Veona Pruett. 
Survivors include his wife, Joyce McKay Jones of the home; four daughters, Teresa Lynn Vangilder, Patricia Ann Parks, and Jennifer Cheryl Graves, all of Marmaduke and Karen Deanna Douglass of North Little Rock; two brothers, Wayne Jones of O'Fallon, Mo., and Houston Jones of Bourbon, Mo.; three sisters, Judy Turner of Paragould, Leola Miles of Brookland and Parthy Gossett of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Seth and Sierra Vangilder, Jarrod Graves and Sarah Parks. 
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Tim Wooldridge officiating. Burial will be at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery, near Marmaduke.

Jerry Neal Thomas 
Jerry Neal Thomas, 42, of Rector died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Paragould. 
He was born Feb. 3, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a refrigeration technician at Hussman Co. in St. Louis. 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Leo and Blanche Evers, and Bob Thomas, all of Rector. 
Survivors include his mother, Virginia (Evers) Smith of Rector; his father, Jimmy Joe Thomas of Rector; his grandmother, Renis Thomas of Rector; three brothers, James Thomas of West Alton, Mo., Robert Thomas of Granite City, Ill., and David and Carla Thomas of St. Louis; two sisters, Debra Thomas of Rector and Diane Tate of Lompac, Calif.; 11 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews. 
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the the Rector V.F.W. Hall. 
A private memorial service will be held Saturday for all family and friends. Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector is in charge of arrangements. 

Willis Cribbs
Willis Cribbs, 79, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at the City Hospital in Sherman, Texas.
He was born July 8, 1921, in Paragould. He was a farmer in Lawrence County near O'Kean for many years and was also a maintenance man for the National Cash Register in Phoenix, Ariz. He was a member of the Ricker Free Will Baptist Church near O'Kean.
Survivors include his wife, Val Cribbs of the home; two sons, Jerry Cribbs of Indiana, Eldon Cribbs of California; a daughter, Jeanette Mawette of Phoenix; three brothers, Willie of Chicago, Ill., Sylvester of Paragould and Thomas E. of Saratoga, Calif.; a sister, Flora G. Jones of Paragould; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be held in Phoenix on Friday.

Fannie Mae Cartwright, 97, of Paragould died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Paragould Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 24, 1903, in Water Valley, Miss. She was a former secretary with First Baptist Church, where she was a member, and for the State of Arkansas. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Cartwright.
Survivors include a son, John Cartwright of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Frances Poe of St. Louis County, Mo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with Joe Marsden officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Bobby Gene Crews, 72, of Paragould died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Jan. 17, 1929, in Goodwin. He was an Army, WWII veteran, and was a journeyman boilermaker and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Odell Dover Crews and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley L. Crews of Paragould; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ava D. and James "Birdie" Miller of Light and Jeanette E. and Eddie Martin of Greenbrier; one sister, Helen Edwards of San Pablo, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jay Miller and Tommy Miller, both of Jonesboro, and Keith Martin and Krista Hindman, both of Greenbrier; and four great-grandchildren, Terra, David and Daniel Martin, and Erica Hindman, all of Greenbrier.

He was born July 15, 1930, in Darien, Mo. He was an operations manager for Laubach Freight Agency and member of Southside Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl Laubach; his parents, Howard W. and Gertie Laubach; and a sister, Maxine Ragan.

James Lee Ethridge, 34, a resident of Paragould died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Sept. 10, 1967 in St. Louis and was a welder.

Roxie Mae Kendall, 87, of Paragould died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
She was born March 12, 1914, in Paragould. She was a homemaker and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Martin Kendall; her parents, Clinton and Dola Mae Highlander Adams; one brother, Johnny Adams; and one sister, Virginia Moore.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Allen and Clara Cone of Paragould; one daughter, Roberta Jean Presson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charles Henry Smart
Charles Henry Smart, 82, of Piggott died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Mo.
He was born Sept. 30, 1919, in Rector. He was a retired farmer and served as manager and president of White River Production Credit. 
He was well-known for his dedication to conservation at the local to national levels over the span of 50 years. He served on numerous boards and councils and was the recipient of several conservation awards during the 1990s.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a Mason. He was a Marine, having served in World War II.
The husband of Mary Jane Thomas, he was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Catherine Turner Smart.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. Smart and Peggy Smart of Pollard; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Mann of O'Fallon, Mo.; five grandchildren, Wade Smart (and wife Leah), John D. Smart, Katie Smart, Jeffery Mann and David Mann; one great-grandchild, Hannah Grace Smart; one sister, Helen Lorene Cummings of Piggott; three nieces; two nephews; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was born July 24, 1917, in Greene County. She was a homemaker and member of Third Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deloy Hill; a son, Bud Hill; and two grandchildren, Michelle Hill and LaDonna Hill.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Hill and David Hill, both of Paragould; three daughters, Annetta Sisk of Paragould, Lilly "Madie" Arant of Oak Ridge, La., and Tricia Nailling of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, J.D. He was born Jan. 22, 1922, in Wheeling, W.Va. He was an assembly line worker at Uniroyal and a member of Marmaduke First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dominick Padulla; and one brother, Joe Padulla.

Zelva Corine Robinson, 80, a Greene Acres Nursing home resident, formerly of Lafe, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1921, in Cooter, Mo. She retired after teaching 35 years with the Lafe School District. She was a member of West View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Robinson; her parents, Luther and Lizzie Morgan; and one brother, Doyle Morgan.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Robinson of Lafe; a daughter, Delores Clayton of Southaven, Miss.; two brothers, Raymond Morgan of Okeechobee, Fla., and Leroy Morgan of Jacksonville; four sisters, Katie Gray of Doniphan, Mo., Elva Barner (her twin) of Lafe, Alma Eaker of Paragould and Sue Botkins of Lafe; five grandchildren, Greg Garner, Tracy Garner, Gina Garner Cook, Shane Robinson and Mikka Robinson; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Garner and Mitchell Garner.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Leroy Morgan and Curt Dwyer officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Terry Barner, Donnie Townsend, Randy Morgan, Trevor Newman, Steven Nagy and Keith White.
