Minnie Shelby Bennett, 66, of Charleston died Monday, May 15, 2000, in North Logan Mercy Hospital, Paris. Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 17, at 10 a.m. at Carpenter Cemetery, southwest of Roseville, under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. 

Maggie Sampley, 82, of Alix, the widow of Harley Frank Sampley, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in her home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Alix Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

Clyde John Hawk, 73, of Ratcliff, a self-employed contractor, died  Sunday, May 14, 2000, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, Fort Smith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with burial at Garden of Memories in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary. 

George Wesley Pledger, 58, of Fort Smith died Monday, May 15, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Blanscet Cemetery, Altus. Burial will be under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

George Willis Young, 72, of Fayetteville died there Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Washington Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Roller-Cox Chapel, Clarksville, with burial at Oak Cemetery. 

Diana Sue Foster, 56, of Mulberry died Friday, May 12, 2000, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark. Cremation was under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. 

Deborah Marie McAlister, 41, of Lonoke, sister of Frank McKenzie of Ozark, died May 9, 2000, in her home, after an extended illness. A memorial service was held Friday at Lonoke First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Nick Lascaro officiating. 

Bonnie Lee Reynolds, 99, of Ozark died Thursday, May 11, 2000, in her home. Graveside services were Saturday at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

Ora Bell Tumbleson, 81, of Lamar died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville. Funeral services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at Strawberry Assembly of God Church. Burial was at Minnow Creek Cemetery, Lamar, under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. 

Myrtle Ancil Lee, 95, of Hunt died Thursday, May 11, 2000, in Lamar. Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Hill Church. Burial was at Liberty Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. 

Sybil Irene Hobbs, 78, of Charleston died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital. Graveside services were Thursday at 3 p.m. at Coal Hill Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

Memorial services for Lillie H. Sanders, 76, of Hartman, who died at her home, will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Ferguson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Coal Hill, with cremation under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Johnnye Nichols Ketter, 69, of Ozark died unexpectedly Saturday, June 10, 2000, in Waldron. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Highland Cemetery in Ozark. 

Johnny Doyle Stover, 55, of Altus died Thursday, June 8, 2000, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. Funeral services were Saturday at 4 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Liberty Cemetery. 

David Wayne Patrick, 28, of Ozark died Saturday, June 10, 2000, in Ozark. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. 

Thomas Paul Williams, 75, of Clarksville died Thursday, June 8, 2000, in Fort Smith. Funeral services were Monday at 10 a.m. at First Landmark Baptist Church, Clarksville, with burial at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Lewis Keifer, 95, of Van Buren, formerly of Ozark, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in the Van Buren hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial  Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Dyer Cemetery. 

Agnes Marie Sax Post, 104, of Altus died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. A rosary service was held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

Beryl McKinney McClain Taulbee, 91, of Ozark died Monday, June 12, 2000, at her home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cemetery Ridge. Burial will be under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

Catfish John Lee Tyner, 60, of Charleston died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at his home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at Gill Cemetery, Van Buren, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. 

David M. Swearingin, 69, of Mulberry died Friday, June 9, 2000, at his home. Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Mulberry First Baptist Church. Burial was at New Cemetery, Mulberry, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.

Glyn Williams, 83, of Charleston died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, in his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at Smith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery with military honors conducted by the VFW District 7 Burial Detail.

Janice `Tootsie' Patty-Williams, 60, of Salinas, Calif., died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at her home. Graveside services were Thursday at 10 a.m. at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Salinas. 

Pauline June English, 68, of Altus died here Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Highland Cemetery in Ozark. 

Frances M. McGlothin, 69, of Hartman died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville. Funeral services were Monday at 10 a.m. at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel. Graveside services were to be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, in Leavenworth, Ind. 

Dotty Stillwell, 62, of Clarksville died there Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, with burial at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. 

Judi Volkmann, 53, of Phelps, Wisc., died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at her home. A memorial service was held Aug. 26 at Twin Lakes Bible Church in Phelps, with burial in Volkmann Cemetery in Phelps.

Helen Mary Taylor, 85, of Denning died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at Ozark Nursing Home. Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Monday at Shaffer Funeral Home. Funeral mass was recited Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. 

Mary Louise Benefield, 72, of Lewisville died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. Alta Mae Carlton Mosley, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at her home. Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Clarksville First Free Will Baptist Church. Burial was at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. 
Malvin J. Brown, 86, of Owasso, Okla., formerly of Ozark, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in a Tulsa hospital. Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Highland Cemetery. 

Ruth E. Christian, 79, of Greenwood died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in a Greenwood nursing home. Graveside services and private burial were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Charleston, under the direction of Smith Mortuary. 

John Riley Brison, 79, of Ozark died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Ozark Nursing Home. Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Mt. View Cemetery.
