JoAnn L. White, 40, formerly of Winfield, died Thursday (June 15, 2000), at Via Christi Regional Medical Center -- St. Francis Campus, in Wichita. Services will be held on Monday, (June 19, 2000) at 11 a.m. in Swisher-Taylor & Morris Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ellen Foster will officiate. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Sunday, (June 18, 2000) from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established with the American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home. 

Peggy J. Thompson, 67, of Arkansas City, died Thursday (June 15, 2000) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kan. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19, at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Arkansas City. Private family interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Norma Marie Snow, 59, of Arkansas City, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000) at her home. Graveside services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday (Oct. 2, 2000) at Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City. The Rev. H. Dean La Velle will officiate. The casket will remain closed. A memorial has been established with the St. Joseph's Cancer Treatment Center in Ponca City. Contributions may be made through Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City, which is in charge of arrangements. 

James Melvin Walker, 71,of Arkansas City, died Thursday (Sept. 28, 2000) at the Wichita Heart Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday (Oct. 2, 2000) at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, with Mr. Jesse A. Kindred officiating. The casket will remain closed. A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City, which is in charge of arrangements. 

Betty Parman, Arkansas City, died Friday (Sept. 29, 2000) at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday (Oct. 2, 2000) in Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City. A complete obituary will be published in Monday's edition of The Traveler. Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City, is in charge of arrangements.
 
Randy A. Conner, 44 of Winfield, died Friday (Dec. 8, 2000) at St. Francis, Via Christi Hospital, Wichita. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2000) at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow funeral services at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 11, 2000) . A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Elizabeth I. Bailey, 75, of Newton, died Thursday, (Dec. 7, 2000) at the Newton Medical Center in Newton Kansas. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2000) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A complete obituary will appear in a later paper.

Edgar G. Schoeling, 67, of Arkansas City, died Thursday (Dec. 14, 2000) at the Good Samaritan Village in Winfield. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 19, 2000) at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Arkansas City. The Rev. Mark D. Boxman will officiate. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Highland Cemetery in Iola. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established with the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Dennis Keith Waldorf, life-long resident of Arkansas City, died Friday (June 16, 2000) in Wichita. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at the Central Christian Church with Jesse Kindred officiating. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. Graveside services were to be at 3 p.m. today (Oct. 2, 2000) in the Riverview Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Daniel and the Rev. Joyce Daniel officiating. Memorials have been established for the Chaplin Nature Center or the First Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Larry and Carlla Pike prior to the services. A memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley South Central Cancer Support Group. The Rev. John Grummon officiated. Interment was in the Great Bend Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Walter Jim O'Neal, 78, Arkansas City, died Sunday (Oct. 1, 2000) at his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2000) at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. James Newman officiating. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. Marvin Leven officiating. Interment was in the Newkirk Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Newkirk FFA. Contributions may be made through Eastman National Bank, Newkirk.

Vivian L. Poole, 87, Winfield, died Sunday (Oct. 22, 2000) at the Good Samaritan Village in Winfield. There will be no funeral services. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical School for research.
