Stella Rowan Wellborn
TUSCALOOSA - Stella Rowan Wellborn, 92, of Bedford Place, died April
5, 2001. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church today at 4 p.m.,
followed by a burial at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael
Wyckoff officiating. Mrs. Wellborn, a native of Jacksonville, lived in
Atlanta prior to moving to Tuscaloosa in 1972. She was a long-time member
of Christ Episcopal Church and numerous civic and community organizations.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Stella Wright Martin, Camille
Wright Brannon and Maxine Wright Hudson, all of Atlanta; three grandsons,
Robert Harris Shaw III of Birmingham, William Wellborn Shaw and George
Levings Shaw of Tuscaloosa; sister, Rose Rowan Kilby of Anniston; niece,
Daisy Weller Smith of Jacksonville; nephews, T. Weller Smith of Gainesville,
Ga., and George Kilby of Anniston.
Mrs. Wellborn is also survived by sons-in-law, Judge George Searcy
Wright and Robert H. Shaw Jr. of Tuscaloosa. She was preceded in death
by her husband, William Bethune Wellborn and two daughters, Stella Wellborn
Wright and Maxine Wellborn Shaw.
Pallbearers will be Judge George S. Wright, Robert H. Shaw Jr., Thomas
E. Martin III, Wade H. Brannon, Edward H. Hudson, Robert H. Shaw III, William
W. Shaw and George L. Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church

PRATTVILLE - Annie B. Warren, 84, died April 5, 2001. Services will

LIVINGSTON - Helen Pope Tucker, 80, died April 4, 2001, at her residence.

BERRY - Flora Lee "Peaches" Taylor, 78, 20938 Joe Taylor Road, died
April 5, 2001, at her residence. Services will be at New Hope Baptist Church
today at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Max Stripling and the Rev. Jerry Montgomery
officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Cemetery. Visitation is one hour
prior to service at the church and the family will receive friends after
the service. The church location is Hwy 42 North to county Road 12, turn
left and go to the church sign on the left. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bessie Taylor; brother,
Freedman Taylor and two sisters, Buna Bell Taylor and Alta Mae Pearson.
Survivors include her nephew, Ted Pearson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three
nieces, Freida Taylor of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Charlotte Hocutt of Northport,
Ala., and Paulette Watson of Berry, Ala., eight great-nieces and nephews;
12 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Moseley was a native of Putnam, Ala., and a long time resident
of Gallion. She was a retired grocery store owner and was a member of Providence

Mo.; brother, Paul Inman of Donphan, Mo.; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren

Mrs. Mabury was a Christian and a member of the Fayette First Baptist
Church. Loretta was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Gee
Gee to her loved ones.
