Winslow Methodist Church

(Transcribed by Lori Bearden and her son, Adam Bearden)

I believe this cementery to be from the old Winslow Methodist Church. in
1840. But I'm not sure ( yet).
It's off of The Old White Horse Pike. On the border of Waterford and Winslow
Townships. I was told that there was a Methodist Church there, and it was
burned to the ground in the late 1800's. After the Glassworks all burned down
in the area, they rebuilt the church in center of Atco. All this is hear say,
I have alot of leg work to do. My son wants to fix this old cementery up as
his BSA Eagle Scout project.
The last year someone was buried was 1900.
I have a partial list of the occupants waiting to be reconized after 100
years of waiting, very patiently, I may add.
Alot are unreadable, until we clean them up for company. Any suggestions on
how to clean these stones?

Now this one fasinated me the most, the stone looks as if it was totally hand
made, the inscriptions were chiseled on, and you could still see the guide
lines. This is exactly how it is inscribed.

There are a few more, and most are unreadable because of sinking, and being
knocked over; some have moss. So I'll be making this haunt a project to clean.
Who knows how many are in the ground covered over with 100 years of leaves.
